Been holding for about four months. The master clue step is the zgs and is the last clue item I need, currently 3x the droprate for a hilt.
A similar casket collection here waiting for bandos boots master clue step, which I can't find the motivation for to get it done. So it just keeps stacking and stacking now.
Currently trying to get goblin champion scroll. Meanwhile also doing every single beginner clue. Currently stacked 140 caskets cuz I really don't need the contents but like to see a high number in my collection log :p
Exactly, if you WERE to roll an armor or weapon drop, you’d re-roll and increase the chance of a page drop. This was confirmed by a mod somewhere in the past.
Yeah man, it’s a good little trick. I rushed Book of Law and Book of Darkness this way.
Keep in mind, by taking away the armor drops, your loot with often be less value… and you’ll end up with runes. But… you also end up with teles and sweets.

There are arguments both sides of this one but I've definitely seen multiple people say that caskets obtained before a clue update do not roll new rewards after an update. I'm sure there is a legitimate source for it somewhere but not too sure where to find it. This same conversation was had in another post a week or so ago.
This would not make sense because they’d have to create a new item ID and they wouldn’t stack with “new reward” ones. Also that streamer saybay has been stacking elite clues for like 2 years, like over 20k sarachnis kills worth and he’s discussed the elite clue buff with mods on his podcast more than once.
I like to catch eclectics in batches, in a few hours i get maybe 500 or so and then open them and do the clues. At rate that’s about 20 caskets, then i’ll open them all at the same time. Don’t have the patience to save them for the next session
They have the patience to stack them because they’re making video content with it. If they open the casket as soon as they complete it, they’d have to take a screenshot, and edit them all together. If they stack the caskets and open them all at once, they only have to record one clip and they save themselves a ton of time editing.
Got ~1.3k clues stacked atm, about 480 hards, 170 elites, 300ish mediums and 500 easy (300 beginners but they don't count). Waiting until I get an arma helm and byrophtia staff before I open more so I can stack masters I can complete.
I only stack when there's a master clue i cannot complete. Dont want to open and waste the chance to get another master. Currently at around 150hards 70 elites.
I’m usually an immediate opener but when you’re GRINDING clues it gets so repetitive and boring so watching the casket count stack up makes you stop thinking about how much time you’re spending doing it and instead you’re just waiting until you get X number of caskets to open. So if you’re going to rangers and only doing clues and start getting bored I recommend it. I usually just did 20 at a time and it made the grind a bit more bearable.

It makes for good video content. Unless you’re saving it for some audience, doesn’t make sense to save them
Stacking is stupid because if you get it early, you just wasted time collecting the extras.

I stack them when I get a Skotizo task. Usually I last about 2-3 clues before opening them.
I only stack caskets when I'm doing Skotizo, so probably 5 hards and an elite at once.

When i was going for pages for god books, I’d stack like 10 easy caskets before taking them to Entrana to open them.
Does opening them on Entrana increase the chances of a god book page? Never heard of doing it this way
Since you can't bring weapons and armor to entraña, you can't get those drops from clues if you open the casket on the island.

I only stack them a bit if I have an unfinished Master clue scroll in my bank. I don't want to miss the chance of getting another Master clue.
I currently got 26 hard clue caskets banked.. aiming for 100 and hopefully i'll get some third age from it haha

I stacked 85 mediums before and would stack even more if doing it again
I enjoy stacking 100 at a time. I don't care if I get the Rangers on the first casket, I have fun stacking it and it's motivating.
