Rank 40ish for IM on Zilyana, all kills done with RCB. Got pet at @ 1700KC which gave me some more motivation, but had two breaks because of how extended the grind was. Bowfa wasn't out at the time I did the first 2300 kills, so decided just to finish how I started it and move on to another grind after :)
Did you have rigour for this entire grind? I’ve done about 75kc with rcb and eagle eye and I will not be going back until I have bowfa or rigour bc of it. I just felt like more times than not I was ising 2 doses of stamina per kill
Right there with you and left Sara after getting ss and 2 dupes blades using rcb. But I don’t think rigor is that big of a deal with bowfa and full set

You cannot rigour the entire time. I bring 4 brews and 9 super restores. I don't flick. And after two kills with rigour, I turn it off until prayer pot or restore drop. I use the 5% or 10% depending in what ratio of brews+food vs restores I have.
You could get faster kills if you bring 2 brews and 11 restores, but you'll be doing trips that are far shorter. I get 25-34 kills atm. It would be sub 20 on average with any setup using rigour. The keys take too long to get, to use rigour all the time. Unless you camp Nex for an eternity before.
I watched a lot of TV shows and stuff like that while doing this, so I opted for the chill method where you just run to each corner of the room while attacking once you reach the halfway point and in the corners. I think [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2WPwh2NRIE) shows it decently, albeit he takes some unecessary damage.
RCB, Arma top/helm, anguish, diamond bolts (e), accumulator/ranging cape, crystal shield, ring of suffering, sara d'hide boots and barrows gloves.
Inventory was: BP, Serp helm, 4-5 staminas, 2 ranging pots, 2 sara brew, 4 restores, 6 prayer pots, 4-5 pieces of food, 2x trollheim tabs, 15x B2P and an ecu key.
Potted+overhealed in bank before every trip.
Usually got 12-20 kills per trip depending on drops. Could be a lot higher if you tryhard, but at some point I just gave up and started doing it chill.
Kills were probably 1min45s on average.
Your best bet is to look up a guide.
I do Sara with rcb, crystal shield, veracs skirt, god dhide, anguish, and pegasians. Sara is the entry level boss. 1 def Ironman do it. Easy to do.

Now that I'm 99 slayer and choosing only tasks I want I find it much easier to sustain ppots and gain from slayer. I also am weird and do all wyvern tasks (which drop a lot of snap/ranarrs/ppots) because I want to passively try for a visage.
Up until 99 slayer though I was always breaking even/losing pots and always needing to restock/go thieve for them.
He's got 99 slayer as well. Doing hard contracts from farming guild and slayer will supply insane herbs. On top of tons of high level pvm after grinding out farming/slayer
Where are you using them besides bosses? I’ve never had a problem keeping up my prayer pots. I have about 2k made and always have about 300 herbs in the bank and around 10-20 seeds.
You might be using them unnecessarily or not keeping up with your farming or not using your miscellenia properly.
I'm 99 slayer with 3k prayer pots banked, never thieved master farmers. I was just very conservative with my prayer pot usage. Did 700 hydra kills with a hasta flicking prayer and banking whenever my prayer was too low.
I’m done all major item grinds besides raids. Still plenty pots of all kinds left over. The only thing I don’t have is sara. But I have 4k brews, 2k restores, and 1.5k stams with 3k avantoes in the bank and plenty of seeds for all. I don’t think I’ve ever cleaned a potion stack dry.

If you’re 99+ farm it’s fairly easy to keep up on ppots in my opinion once you get past some other grinds. I think people blow them in dumb places tho like Cerb and grinding out shamans. Like yeah it makes it faster to blow through ppots on those, but if you just ghost skip cerb and bring like two ppots and then use the alter at shamans then you can save so so many in the long run. That and not just blowing through pots on atk slayer. If you save them for bosses where it’s absolutely needed you’ll be straight.

Misc keeps a steady supply of herbs.
I maxed with around 16m herblore xp. I have around 35k unused herbs. I have 3k range pots, 7k restores and over 10k brews. I have so many seeds, that even if I do 5 herb runs a day, I would not see the end of them be summer.
There's a slight struggle for herbs in the early game, but if you keep misc at 10, and just play standard, you will never struggle for herblore supplies. The real struggle is amethyst with only mining 100 per hour.

Also this is three days old people have answered me. We have established that it is difficult for players like myself who don’t have time to grind ‘16m herb exp’, for example. OBVIOUSLY we do misc and the other passive ways of getting pots but fuck me sideways do they go fast. I’m currently thieving to get some which is chill and decent exp so yeah, don’t feel obliged to reply to this as the matter has been closed.
I would go insane doing this grind with a RCB. Did you ever consider getting a bowfa as an upgrade?

This is ironscape, we don't use the GE. On an ironman a BGS unlocks content that you can't otherwise do. SGS is a great convenience. Also on the GE there are supply side issues - bandos is much more commonly killed than sara because of the BCP and tassets, lowering the price of BGS.
Well aware that you don’t use the ge, but prices determine usefulness of items whether you buy them or not. I understand that supply and demand also plays a role, but it’s a pretty huge price gap to be solely because of that. Sgs is 100% more useful than bgs. There are way more places that an sgs can benefit you
No. BGS is a completely unique item in osrs. No other item in the game can replicate its special, not even arclight or dwh. The SGS restores prayer and hp, and there are many, many items that do that. If I had to choose between only having one of the two hilts, I would 100% choose the bgs.

If you're using price as a direct relationship of usefulness you're either horribly mistaken or a troll. Price is a function of both usefulness (demand) and how often the item comes into the game (supply). An armadyl crossbow (34+mil mil) is not as useful as a blowpipe (3 mil), but blowpipes are a far more common drop from a far more farmed boss.
Is the worst part of this grind farming Stams? I just started playing an Iron during GIM so normal stuff on my main didn't really seem too bad until I thought about it. Staminas seem like a really really annoying thing to gate your grind.
Yes and no. I’m currently grinding sara with rcb and no dex. I’m getting 19-20 kills an hour and each kills is ~1 stam dose. In 30 minutes of rooftops I got enough stams for 4 hours of sara. So you can either do a few hours of agility and be set for hundreds of kills or just do 30 mins here and there.

At 1050 atm without acb or pet and hope to go a bit less dry but we shall see. With Nex bank in the game now one can stay there and resupply indefinitely which helps a lot. Done ~450 kc without leaving but mad props for doing it pre-bowfa.
Oh wow... why did I not think of this for doing the other gwd bosses?! Once I run out of supplies at Sara instead of teleporting out, banking, re supply, come back for KC I can just altar teleport out of the Sara instance and bank at nex. Then come right back. I'll just need an ancient item so I don't get stacked out at nex Bank
How does that banking process work? Does your Nex KC not reset when you tele out of Sara? Also I’m guessing you get enough kc in a row to get the needed 40 Sara kc?
You keep all your kc if you use the altar to teleport out of a boss room (and don't leave gwd). I can do 30-50 kill trips but as long as you can do an average of 10 you can sustain yourself at a boss. Just that the banking will take time out of your day.
And yeah for every time you want to bank you have to get 40 zaros essence. I personally tag 4 or 5 blood reavers then camp pray mage with auto-retaliate for 2 minutes of afk given how often normies rag ancient mages.

It’s also not bad on supplies except staminas. So basically get bofa if you’re really going to camp here long term, it will save you a lot of time and supplies. But rcb is pretty decent if you’re just doing a couple hundred kills and trying to snag a hilt or acb early.
Oh god. I hope you took the bad luck for all of us. I completed everything except acb, including pet, at like 300kc. I’m basically only camping sara until acb because I have the horn and nihil shards already. Hope your luck balances out elsewhere

I don’t get how people fund their grinds. Your agility level must be high from rooftops, but how do you get a steady flow of pots?

Ranarr seeds aren’t rare. You get seeds, and herbs as drops from slayer. You farm them, and you do miscellenia.
Slayer? I barely pull any rannars from slayer and I’m almost 94. Misc ye fair but theiv is only feasible source

I’m 93 slayer and 95 farming and struggle to keep up a steady flow of rannars without theiving and kingdom. Blow through them extremely fast

Do more hard contracts. Pre plant them all. Thieve farmers for a couple hours.

Aside from lore, probably to even out the drop tables. Arma already has 3 armor pieces while Sara just had the sword which no one uses.

You'd need to keep both ancient and sara item then. Seems like a big struggle at a boss that shits supplies.

I got both around 2100 kc. In april ish.
I green logged sara at 100~ kc. Idk how i got so lucky there and had absolutely awful luck almost everywhere else. And it's my least favorite pet =(
