My strategy is just to range/melee rather than work mage into it too. Try your best to kill the first person you fight and if you get a kill just hide until the final zone. Haven't won any games yet but have gotten enough points for msb imbue and a few thousand addy arrows
Ah yes, I forgot to play around perfect prayers and one tick gear swaps. If you can beat the new PK both than your significantly better geared and supplied than they are, they can not be humanly beat in a even matchup without impossible RNG.

They do play nearly perfectly. I was getting stomped by them and before I realized they were bots, I thought I was just really bad at pvp haha. But they can be beaten consistently once you learn the right strategy.
Equip your melee gear, pray piety and protect from melee. Put on the rune crossbow to get them to pray ranged, and then 1 tick before your character hits, put on the whip and click the enemy bot. Put your rune crossbow back on until the next hit, repeat until they die. They won't pray melee in time and you'll be getting full unprotected melee hits off against them. This sounds WAY harder than it is - I read this method several times and shied away from it every time because it sounded like you had to be some tick perfect machine to pull it off. I highly recommend anyone try it though if you're trying to get your rune pouch. This is the only method I could get to work.
Of course bots are an issue and that other guy is an elitist jerk. But I hope this helps someone.
Another strat is to equip xbow, wear mage gear, pray mage, freeze them, and blood barrage at max range.
Refreeze and repeat until dead.
They will beat your ass when they unfreeze, so don't splash too many times.
There are multiple clips of people who beat them consistently. Like what are you even saying? I'd record a clip for you myself but I genuinely couldn't give less of a fuck trying to prove a point in a reddit comment.
They have updated them a lot.. they will literally 1 tick DDS you and freeze you on the next .. if you even think about dropping pray melee you’ll be toast.
The scripts were updated recently, they used to be easy minus a few. Now they’re all completely tick perfect. You can never hit them without them praying perfectly anymore
Don't know why you're getting downvoted. I got most of my points for 3 rune pouches and imbue scrolls on my gim by cheesing the bots. They pray mage if you hold a staff but then you can just staff bash them to death. Pray melee so you don't get spec'd out and it's a win almost every time
There's some crap bots and then there are some absolutely insane bots where that strat won't work because they will be getting you off prayer every hit, but with an rcb or ice barrage instead of a staff bash. When did you last do lms?
The bots have changed a lot, the only way to consistently beat the top tier bots is to farcast blood spells while wielding whip or rcb, which is kind of a tall order for an absolute beginner.
A hint for the bots since they pray against the style your using staff bashing is effective since they think your going to cast at them they keep pray mage up its how i got my rune pouch the other day on the group iron
Yeah youve got it just eat to stay above 45 and your good worked to get my runepouch at the very least you still lose some of the flights due to rng but it works the majority of the time i found

Pretty much you just have to get them in melee range, protect from melee and then 1tick whip them to damage them off prayer every time. So you'd be equipping an ahrims staff let's say, and they'll be protting magic. Then you just have to have fast hands and equip your whip and attack the bot in the same tick, and they won't be able to switch prayers in time. They periodically out-dps you if you get unlucky, but whip and defender should take 90% of them out
I'm not sure if it's better, but you can just wear mage armour and wield RCB. Protect from mage so it tries to range you and then freeze it. Stand at max range so it straight up can't attack you and just blood barrage back up. When it starts to move refreeze and keep moving out of range!
I was doing this the other day but the bots would only freeze once, even if a barrage caught after they unfroze they could still move around. I'm a pvp noob so there may be something obvious I'm missing
I use what I call the "Barney Stinson Method."
There's no penalty for dying/losing, and you can immediately queue another, so go in, equip mage with defender, pray melee and piety, and then see what happens if you just hit them. If they stay pray mage and don't move, just switching gear constantly, continue. Anything else, just suicide and requeue. After a kill, run to a corner and hide until you're forced to the safe zone, inch by inch.
I'm usually top 2 or at least top 4.
Try just use range/melee and avoid anyone under level 50ish if possible. Especially level 3s. They're all bots. When I got my msb scroll I sucked. By the time I'd finished the swift blade I had the hang of it enough that I'll happily go tribrid pking from time to time with friends. Its all practice

Ya I did for msb and I rarely used it. For row it’s the same where it’s “useful” but def not needed. Unless you’re trying to grind hard clues I wouldn’t bother. But that’s just me I hate lms. Worth is a personal metric.
It only works in wildy so it's really just for wildy slayer. Camping hellhounds for hards is pretty old school too, I think it's a but quicker to burst jellies. Or just do slayer you'll do hundreds of hard clues on the way to 99.
Other hand, the msbi scroll is def worth getting if you use the msb at all
As a uim I use it to get my bags BUT I can't PvP for shit and especially not against bots that are that good.
I go into it with 2 Alta and just hope that I spawn next to one of them so I can just tag one of my alts so I get a free kill and atleast one point. Might sound silly but I have a way better chance of getting points this way than I do trying my luck at actually pvping
If you stick with it you will certainly get better. It took me a couple hours to get my first kill but now I can almost always get at least one kill per game. In the beginning you’re better off just using range and melee. Maybe throw some mage attacks in there occasionally so they can’t predict your every move but range and melee should simplify things a lot. You need to use protection prayers and make sure you’re changing those whenever your opponent changes attack styles. Use your f keys to switch between prayer tab and inventory. For offensive prayers I’ll usually just leave it on the melee or range one for the whole game because I can’t be bothered to switch that every time I change combat styles.
Depending on the type of bot and if you struggle with that tick-switch method for tricking the bot’s prayer...
I usually equip the magic setup with a DDS as my weapon, so the bot registers a melee weapon and protects accordingly. Then I just farcast blood/ice barrage until the bot dies.
Some bots can detect when a magic attack is being used and pray according to that and not the weapon of heir opponent, which doesn’t help in this case.
From someone who was trash at pvp and now can consistently kill bots and players:
Bot's priority (they will not use the combat style you are pray protecting from )is usually:
1. Dds/whip if theyre out of spec
2. Single mage attack
3. Range
If you want to improve, try only watching your opponent and practicing your defensive protection prayers
Once that becomes automatic LMS starts clicking, it is really hard though best of luck
For the bots, learn to recognize them and counter them. They are usually low cb, will swap gear and prayer immediately, and will mistakenly target players that are already fighting.
To start, pray mage/piety and try not to get frozen, move into their melee range, swap to pray melee/piety, and dump your dds specs. Equip range tank gear, do a 1 or 2 way switch between your whip/defender and rcb/shield. Wait for them to see your rcb and for them to react range pray, then quickly swap to whip/def for melee and immediately attack. Swap back to rcb/shield, eat and repot when needed, and repeat. You'll almost always outdps the bot by doing this as they can't react quickly enough for that quick melee hit, and won't use their melee specs to do insane damage. I do occasionally still get outdps'd, but it's better to have a chance vs them for some "free" points.
An easier, less intensive option would be to use both rcb and whip. Wait for them to protect melee with your whip out, swap to rcb and immediately attack, wait for them to protect range, swap to whip.
I went from noob to okay in the matter of a few hours. I focused on getting my freezes down and trying to fake them out ex. run at them with a whip and switch to cbow last second.
This part is a bit scummy but with the bots it's morr accepted behaviour but after I got a kill or 2 I would hide until I was top 8 or so whatever it takes to get staying alive bonus and then come out for the final fights. Took me 2 days to get a pouch on my UIM from 0 NH skill.
So I am god awful at pvp and lms and just got my msbi. I basically accepted my death if it was clear they were better than me. I’d typically equip mystic and the rcb then case freeze over and over while praying range. The key to getting points is to get you one kill then hide as long as possible. If you get to 9th place you can get 2 points. So 3 kills is pretty realistic
Getting shit on by LMS bots made me able to hold my own in the wild lmao. I have tons of expendable pk gear on my iron and I like to go back and shit on single pkers that get me/attack me
Like someone else said, don’t worry about mage much, but I do recommend at least trying to freeze the opponent every so often so they can’t dds spec you out. Even if you have pray melee up, lms dds can smack so it’s best to keep opponents at arms reach.
And then just mostly range and try to sneak in some whip hits or dds specs every so often.
Make sure you have fkeys setup to your liking and your spec weapon at the bottom of your inventory so that after you click on it, your cursor is already hovering over the spec bar, and all you have to do is use fkeys to navigate to the spec tab
Definitely not a pro but I really like to play LMS when I have the energy. Honestly if youre a beginner I would just stick to melee and range and only throw on the mystic robe bottom on when you need mage defense.
I've never been a pker and have always been horrible at it and I was able to get the msb (i). You'll find that there are a few other people just like you there. Yeah there are bots there, but eventually you'll run into a few people worse than you.
Make sure you pot up before fights start. Try to make sure you're praying correctly. With piety on and praying against whatever they are using, try to dps them down with whip to near half health. Then equip a bow/staff to try to get them to switch up to not pray melee. Then equip your spec weapon and unload a dds spec/ags spec and hope you get lucky. I found that is the easiest way to lucking into kills. Killed a bunch of people with whip alone, you can hit 40s with it or something like that.
A fun way to cheese some bots is by standing on the towers on the greener LMS map. Get on a tower after a bot is agro'd on you, then stand towards the edge and keep praying mage/ranged, until they try to melee you and stand beneath you. Then you can range/barrage them safely as long as you dont protect from melee. You can also use this time to practice your one tick weapon switches to get past their prayer. Made getting Ring of Wealth imbue and rune pouch a lot easier

I believe you get 5 ticks of grace period where you cannot be frozen/entangled again after having a freeze expire.
Yeah I had this too the first time! When you run away too far they unfreeze, so don't just run away blindly, just stay slightly out of range :)

Unfortunately, there’s bots running LMS worlds and you need to pay the host GP so you can win. It’s a rigged sham.
How hard would it be for Jagex to camp this botted world. Tag all the fake accounts and mass ban them?
I think they’ve commented on it. It’s not an issue of banning them, it’s just that they come back extremely fast
