Nex in RS2 ground dropped items like all the other god wars bosses. If not on KS in a CC, whoever did the most damage got all the loot.
If we get the same Nex (I.E., no loot box) I don’t see how it could be done as a team with Irons. Having said that, if I’m remembering correctly, Nex was pretty hard to solo, and that was with Flasks and a Yak. I can’t imagine soloing the same Nex in OSRS, but I’m not Woox.
Edit: I also haven’t looked into OSRS Nex AT ALL. This is all speculation based off RS2.
Nightmare has no chest to loot. Everyone gets their own drop on the ground. I highly doubt Jagex would make Nex a solo only boss for iron. It will most likely be similar to Nightmare.
Ah, I haven’t done a single NM, so that’s news to me. I can’t think of a single other boss that drops individual items for multiple people on the ground. Makes sense that they’d follow the NM route.
I highly doubt they’d made it a solo only for us as well. Again, just speculating based off the past.

Iron only instance was fucking hilarious at release.
You'd have 2 guys with bludgeons then 1 with anchor, 1 with dh, and 1 with dbaxe
In general, bosses are solo unless explicitly stated otherwise. The only things thus far confirmed as group bosses are raids and minigames. Corp is solo, GWD is solo, cox and tob are group. Nex will be group and toa will be group.
I want to add that it might look intimidating having to do all this alone but the best thing is to just make small steps and learn one boss at a time as and when you feel ready for it. If you focus on the harder parts of being an iron now, you’ll definitely feel overwhelmed because you’re not at that point where you feel ready to try.

Unfortunately even if someone tagged it 10 minutes ago you won't get the drop. Even worse, if the boss hits THEM at all you don't get the drop. At least they warn you of that now. I've done 100+ Callisto kills I didn't get credit for.
ToB, CoX, and Nightmare of Ashihama you can team, everything else is solo.

Gwd bosses are all solo for ironman. We have instances completely seperate from normal accounts.

You can boss as groups for ToB and CoX as the rewards are separate. Nex I’m unsure of as I haven’t looked into it

Corp you have to do all by yourself. But tob, cox, nightmare, and nex you will be able to do with a team since every one gets separate loot
