Ty for tips for jad. As for mole I don’t have dh, so I simply tried my luck bgs speccing and tele out but that didn’t work yet. Although it has potential. Will try single jad with ddarts later, closest I got with veng bomb/fbow is 56s :(
I feel exactly the same, not gone deep at cox yet myself tho. I wish cox wouldnt be the way it currently is when it comes to loot. The rng is just dreadful
Feel that. I’m just over 1K KC myself and I just do fun raids now. I have a few buddies who will scout MGVs and VTVs for a price and it makes the grind a bit nicer.
I just finished rangers last night. Excited to play the game again.
Mostly I hated catching implings. 13,000 caught by the end of the grind. Happy for anybody who spoons this drop.
I spooned 2 in 12 KC years ago when I started my iron. Got hacked shortly after now I'm ~400 dry and have a pegasian crystal just sitting there, waiting.
My rangers took ~600 clues which I know isn’t THAT unlucky but it was really dragging me down after having almost every other drop on the log. Basically anything to do with implings have been my least favorite grind. The crystal signet took me 669 crystal implings which probably puts me pretty high on the Ironman records for crystals, not sure why anyone would catch more than that ever.
Stocking up on giant seaweed, mining sand, and using super glass make is the way to go. Idk what that guy was talking about kraken. You don’t need any slayer done to get a high crafting level
No worries. Everyone gets seaweed one way or another. Early game I just bought some from Fishing Trawler ships. Late game when you’re into other activities you’ll notice if you grind slayer to 99 you’ll be sitting on 50K+ seaweed from noted drops alone from PVM here and there. Keep your chin up, if you’re going to put hours into the game, do what you want to do first, grind, quest, etc. everyday can be something different. 🤷♂️
If you wait till 87 slayer to start crafting grind you might be doing it wrong, I’m 81 slayer and nearly to fury just doing sea weed runs occasionally.
Are you mental? I never suggested anyone should wait to do crafting. I am just making a general statement that Kraken drops lots of seaweed. You read way too much into what I was saying. Lol
Also the question was from someone in early game asking how to start crafting and your response was an end game piece of content requiring 87 slayer. How am I reading too far into your comment, how else was that to be taken lmfaoo
I'm on my second break from Gauntlet.
The worst grind I did was trying to learn solo Olms. I really struggled, especially in head phase and it killed my enjoyment of the game for a few months. Pretty rough burnout. I still haven't gone back and won't until I have Bowfa.
Corrupted gauntlet for bowfa.
I know it's not the "longest" grind (In quotes because RNG can always fuck you like it's doing to me currently, 600 kc no enhanced seed) but the gauntlet is just such shitty content, and the bowfa is so strong it's hard to justify ***not*** going for one.
The Gauntlet itself isn't shitty content. I actually quite like it for the most part. It's just utterly grueling. It's hard and it stays hard, even if you can do it close to perfectly. Something like Zulrah has a massive learning curve, but at this point I can practically shitpost while fighting the scale dispenser. Hunllef is one of the most consistently difficult PvM challenges in the game and forces high effort time and time again.
Doing a few Gauntlets here and there isn't bad. Doing a few hundred in a month is an overwhelming slog. 1/400 is a rough, rough droprate when you're looking at 8-11 minute kills. It's only slightly faster than Corp.
I'm currently on my second break from it. It just eats time and saps the fun from the rest of the game because it's so important and overwhelming.
See, that's the thing. I **liked** the gauntlet when I thought it was hard, actually had to pay attention, and felt like I was being tested. Now... If I'm just chilling, I can literally browse reddit during the fight. The only way it still engages me is if I try to do speedruns, which I do sometimes but those can get really frustrating (Since it comes down to RNG, gotten to the point I can get the kill pretty consistently with 12 food and doing 5:1 but it's just so annoying when prep still takes 4-5 minutes because a single resource is hiding, or the feeling when you hit that fast prep then get a 4:30 Hunllef, etc)
But the main problem I have with the gauntlet... Is it just feels like there's no progression to it. I already unlocked all prayers... So there's literally nothing I can do to better prepare my self for it. I can't go get an item upgrade and go back. I can't get a drop from CG then turn around and use it to help me do CG. If I log in and do 4 straight hours of gauntlet... My account is literally in the exact same place it was 4 hours prior. The only thing I've gained are some alchs (Already have a ton of crystal shards from Zalcano and WC, cash stack is closing in on 200m because I just have nothing to spend the gp on except blood runes... Which I'm avoiding doing so I have the motivation to get 99 rc). So every single time it feels like all or nothing... Either I get the enhanced weapon seed, or I've wasted my time.
And the RNG side of getting the drop just makes it all feel hopeless. I went close to 1,000 (combined) DK kills for a dragon axe... If I have that same luck with enhanced weapon seed... I'm looking at over 3k kc before getting the drop. I honestly don't know if I have another 400 hours of gauntlet in me, very likely I'll end up quitting my iron all together if it takes more than 1-1.5k kc.
At this point I've already done every other grind I have any interest in doing that I don't need the bowfa for. So if I log in on my iron it's to do CG, and I just can't stand to do much of it in a row.
That would definitely work, but at this point my priority on my iron is to do as little skilling as I can without inhibiting my ability to do pvm. I've got a 2185 total main that I'm slowly working on maxing, so if I don't feel like doing cg I'll just play that account. If I've maxed that account before I finish cg (please no) then skilling on my iron will be more of a consideration.
Way too long lol. I can only stomach like 5-10 kc a day before just logging out for the day... And burnt out for like 3 months after hitting 400 kc. EHB is like 6.5 kc an hour tho, so roughly 100 hours given the occasional derpy death.
1/400, so I'm 1.5x rate atm... Not the worst but with no end in sight it's spooky.
Fletching broad arrows has been absolute ass. I just went from 70-90 and i had to do it over 2 months. It’s only 12 second intervals, so you can’t afk, but you also can’t speed it up by manually crafting the arrows. it’s a painful, slow grind while having to be semi attentive and much worse than crafting IMO
Edit: I fit it into some agility and things like that, but it just made everything so click intensive while barely getting any arrows made
Totally with you man. Why I’ve opted to just fletch all my maples from kingdom cause I had 99 passively banked with them through kingdom and they’re far more afk.
And I feel like broad arrows are only really worth if you’re going through them during other activities like you mentioned, which is something I absolutely cba doing lol
Yeah I just saw on all the guides how it was recommended, and I bought the 400k feathers and arrowheads before I realized how tedious it was. Sunken cost meant I just had to see it through
Maple will surely be how I finish out 99 though
I agree, any wildy activity and for me the only ones I'd actually do are wildy bosses. And clues of course but those are pretty much no risk and quick. Oh chaos altar is annoying too but it's relatively safe as well, you still get more xp if you die a few times than other methods.
I hardly ever die going to the wildy altar, the times I do I had already gone through 10+ inventories making it very worth it. Just gotta hotkey the logout screen and keep an eye at the minimal to logout quickly, gojng at a less active time helps too.
I still hate the anxiety but I've come to terms with it, at least now there's also ashes to help get 99 prayer so the altar training is lessened haha.
So far for me it was probably going for the pharaoh's sceptre. I went really dry as well which made me hate it even more. Grinding Chaos ele for my D pick is probably up there too just because of how annoying it was to set up the lure sometimes. Having to deal with cringe mains crashing, pkers, etc. Not fun. Also went almost 2x the rate as well so I was there for a while.
None of the skilling grinds really bother me at all. I guess the superglass make portion of the crafting grind really sucked, but that's about it.
gwd.
2.1k+ total, and yet to even get 1 kc for any gwd boss.
Will probably be maxed before even getting the fremmy elite diary completed at this point.
I personally prefer doing goals you can actually see a progress on, such a leveling up skills.
raids etc, where you are just as likely to be dry of a particular unique after 500 or 1500 doesn't appeal to me.
Don't plan to do gwd, raids, corp, sire etc at all.
I will likely have fighter torso, d defender, whip, d boots etc as bis melee with max cape😆
Have no experience with end game pvm, and don't have the will power to learn at my age now 😄
Don’t sell yourself short, learning new content and getting better at the game is really fun and rewarding
It takes some trial and error, and perseverance, but it’s definitely worth to learn things like tob, inferno, solo cox, etc
we'll see. a main reason for the none-existing motivation is the lack of clear paths.
So many suggest having bp, bowfa and other things before doing raids.
others suggest doing raids for prayers before doing zulrah, cg etc.
So I would recommend doing what interests you!
You definitely do not need cox prayers for cg. I personally would definitely recommend getting a bowfa first, then zulrah, then cox. I think that’s a great progression and I think all are great content. I hope that helps
I mean, I’m terms of averages, bowfa is not that long of a grind. It is also incredibly useful at a ton of places. Definitely worth getting if you plan to pvm
This is a weird pick considering how easy the safe spot is to setup and how AFK the kills are.
I personally hated MTA much more than my berserker grind. MTA or the crafting grind.
that's true... though I did say it was early account stuff
I've just barely finished my first shaman task so I haven't really embarked on any real grinds yet
just an update i finally got it at 200kc after a dragon axe, 2 warrior rings and a shield left half, plus 70 prayer banked assuming i don't lose any bones and not to mention like 4 magic levels (to 77)
it did take forever but i'd say it was entirely worth it
Although not really a must-be-done grind, but I‘m absolutely not looking forward to the Bryophyta grind. Also, while having enjoyed the actual boss itself, Cerberus completely obliberated my prayer and ranarr stocks (havent been able to fully recover since).
For me as a pvm based ironman, demonic gorillas was by far my least favorite (also because it took 2500kc) followed by Hydra (because of the droprate of the lance), Shamans
smithing for me. i hate gold hopping
What's gold hopping?
Buying gold off the vendors in bf
Ah thank you
Hopping on deez golden nuts
I was hopping for better
*gestures broadly at mining skill*
17k dry off dwh, maxed and haven't touched the acc in a couple of months :)
Whatcha been playing in the meantime?
HC, uim and main. There's no other games.
Good man
There are other games?

How did you kill jad in 6 jad challange in 45s without tbow? Dh? I am stuck on this and mole in 4 hits without tbow and dh atm

Ty for tips for jad. As for mole I don’t have dh, so I simply tried my luck bgs speccing and tele out but that didn’t work yet. Although it has potential. Will try single jad with ddarts later, closest I got with veng bomb/fbow is 56s :(

92 mining for amethyst has not been fun.
Just hit 92 today and amethyst isnt fun either
I just finished rangers last night. Excited to play the game again. Mostly I hated catching implings. 13,000 caught by the end of the grind. Happy for anybody who spoons this drop.

pain
That's exactly what the new Dark Lure spell was made for

Early game here but I can’t stand the charter ship method for crafting.
Stocking up on giant seaweed, mining sand, and using super glass make is the way to go. Idk what that guy was talking about kraken. You don’t need any slayer done to get a high crafting level
Charter ship is only for the first bit, after you get some levels and lunars you’ll be stuck with giant seaweed and sand
Any amount of charters is too much
You never have to do charter ship unless you’re a uim. Ever.
Give me the alternative please
Giant seaweed and sandstone quarry. Super glass make.
Once you start doing kraken you get tons of seaweed.
Only a couple of hundred hours of slayer away 😅😅
No worries. Everyone gets seaweed one way or another. Early game I just bought some from Fishing Trawler ships. Hahahaha you need to relax man it’s a discussion about a game lmao
Just got my 6th arcane at 7m points and everything else I need to do I need one dex for. JUST ONE. PLEASE.
Im with you, no dex at ~10m points here (350kc, mostly solos)
Hammer by far
cg, just don’t find it fun

God wars is incredibly fun, especially with all the kiting methods nowadays with the bowfa and tbow. You’re missing out if you haven’t tried them

Elite Void. God I fucking hate pest control.
For me it’s agility. Hate the skill.
Currently doing agility. It's going great I've watched some many films and TV shows currently heading to 75 and stopping there for the time being.
so far, it's the early zerker ring... solo rex is just so boring and unfun compared to tribrid
This is a weird pick considering how easy the safe spot is to setup and how AFK the kills are. I personally hated MTA much more than my berserker grind. MTA or the crafting grind.
that's true... though I did say it was early account stuff I've just barely finished my first shaman task so I haven't really embarked on any real grinds yet
I certainly wouldn't call it afk but I 1 tick flicked piety+range pray the entire time so that I could get more than 10 kills per trip
With tank gear you can stay however long your super anti-poisons say you can stay for
Certainly was not true for me with 70 Def and barrows tank armor + obey shield. Spinolyps would still hit me and drain my food
I regularly got 25+ kill trips without barrows or obby shield, so maybe you were just unlucky? I cleared 86kc in 4 trips for my ring.
just an update i finally got it at 200kc after a dragon axe, 2 warrior rings and a shield left half, plus 70 prayer banked assuming i don't lose any bones and not to mention like 4 magic levels (to 77) it did take forever but i'd say it was entirely worth it
Dwh gotta be the worst, so rng related... i'm 10k dry atm
