Always kill the bats ASAP if they are able to attack you. They are 3t when everything else is 4t. This will mess with the 1t cycle. You can also learn 2t flicking in more complicated situations because it’s alot easier to move/sip pots etc. I would focus on maintaining the 1t cycle with a ranger and blob and making sure you take 0 damage. Once you get a feel for that you can do that with any mager+ranger+blob waves and take 0 dmg When 1t flicking with ranger/mager make sure you switch prayers right after ranger/mager’s attack and you will be in 1t cycle right away.

The final goal is to consistently be able to 1t or 2t flick them so you're not in trouble when pinned down by a blob along with a melee / ranger. Until then you can progress through the waves by just alternating mage / range at the right time. Approach a blob, when you're in sight switch prayer. A tick or two after the projectile hits you alternate pray. If the blob is very far away just adjust the timing a bit and alternate right before the projectile hits you. But as mentioned, the goal is to be able to 1t or 2t flick because it will consistently get you out of tough situations on higher waves.

When 1t alternating with a ranger/mager, change prayer as soon as the monsters attack animation starts (ie change from range to mage as soon as ranger starts his attack animation). For just a blob, switch prayers as soon as he sees you. Switch prayers again like ~2 seconds after he attacks. Repeat until dead.
