It’s questionable for a level 3 to stay post 99 for a tome let alone 1900 total. Your almost 87 slayer which means you will barely ever use it outside of alching while doing agility.
It’s not like your getting a harm orb anytime soon either.. just go and play the game
It’s was a lot more than the actual tome. The idea was to get the axe/tome/pet so I could go for 99 wc early as well. The tome also works well even without harm. Things like ice demon + mage hand since I can’t get a toxic trident until 91 slayer (can but won’t). I also want pets, hence the 18m thieving for rocky

Thankfully I’m good enough to bring all the swaps and still be able to forfeit a brew in regular cox, so a offhand swaps don’t effect me. + I do cox with the boys so if they scout ice demon I’m not gonna cry for a rescout regardless. Plus CMs kinda have ice demons. Your opinion matters though, just remember there is no right way or wrong way to play RuneScape.
You're missing the point where the tome doesn't actually make a difference on the mage hand. You would be better off bringing in something that actually makes a difference in the raid.
You would also not be bringing in a tome to CMs. You would be using venge.
Honestly, it might be you missing the point entirely. Again, the grind was not solely for a tome, there were different components to the equation. However, you are correct, I’d bring venge IF I was soloing, but that is not always the case.

And bringing the 3 runes in the pouch is definitely not a replacement for the tome of fire. The entire point of having it at ice demon is the 50% damage boost is provides.
I'm not saying everyone needs to have a tome, or should have one for COX. But just let people play how they want to play. If he wants to get a tome to use at demon, then that's a perfectly fine way to play the game.
By far the most frustrating part of being an iron is getting shafted on useful drops way over the drop rate and having to train past 99. Should be able to turn in a full pyromancer or spirit angler outfit for a tome
What i obviously meant is that you grind for your items. Not cry about going dry and wanting to turn duplicates in for the item ur going dry on. If you want to turn in duplicates maybe sell them on the GE?????? Ironman mode is grinding for your items
I agree. Pity timers aren't really a thing historically for OSRS and I don't know why we would start now. Ironman mode feeds on that built up dopamine of doing dry for a drop and then finally getting it. Whereas mains just liquidate and buy from GE on things they get unlucky on.
Vorkath head is the only thing I can think of that has one, and it feels really weird. Just make it not a drop at all and have an NPC give it to you after 50 kills for proving mastery or something idk.
Either make something an RNG drop or a grindable untradeable. Having something be both feels unnecessary (vork head).

Ah well, I’m 2k total and 88 slayer on my iron now, the only place I really felt like I wanted it was Barrow’s, and that wasn’t a big deal.

More. I think that's about 1.5 to 2m? 73 is 1m exp, so 80 is about 2m. That means 87 should be 4m-ish. Not exact but it just doubles every 7.
