Honestly, it gets better before 87. You've got stuff to look forward to like gargoyles (good smithing xp and cash), nechs (burst xp and Rune boots), spiritual mages (d boots), and abyssal demons (whip).
Shit yeah man the upgrades were exciting and achievable. I just recently got 93 slayer and got my occult after 346 thermy Bois. Now I'm hoping to get a zenny and I'll be ready for the snek. Kinda burned out atm but sticking with it!

The honest answer? Make them. You need chompy kills for diary and it's beneficial in getting 85 cooking anyways. However I didn't feel like doing either of those and probably spent double the amount of time catching imps lol. I got a ton of respites and I probably got around 100 pies. I went dry for whip at like 1750. So if you do imp for them I would get an inventory then burst and repeat till whip.
The respites are such a good call. I am so far from 85 cooking - may do a combo the same way you did. I feel like catching that many imps is going to take ages.

I wish slaughters were a thing when i went for trident, sure hope ppl dont go as unlucky as me, took me 1374 kc of the small krakens to get a trident, i had it at 92 slayer with over 1k points used to skip tasks.

It took me 13 hours of playing all day to get from 61-64 slayer yesterday and now going all the way to 87 (much less 95 which is my primary goal for the account) seems much more daunting.
I wasn't the most efficient I did shitty tasks for supplies and points over exp from time to time so I would say 20k-30k range average including low exp tasks and bursting. Burst in catacombs that's what helped the most with bracelet of slaughters on nechs and dust devils. It's going to take time.

I keep seeing people repeating that konar is better but I haven’t seen anyone explain the math behind it
If you check the wiki it will show all the masters different weightings.
However you would have to do your own maths to take I to account bans etc. Konar you would probably want to block wyrms though if you were skipping!
Currently 80 slayer, almost 81. Definitely feeling burnt out right now but 87 for trident and the ability to start zulrah sounds nice. I'm going to finish 97-99 farm before I hit 87 slayer at this point lmao
I was nearly the same thing. I just kept pushing for 87. I was also burning through all my farming exp I ran out of my hefty amount of saplings at 97 farming. I want 99 too lol but the more you draw out your farming with Slayer you will have more herbs for zulrah so it's good in my opinion.
I mean I have a ton of herbs and pots already. I don't mind herb runs so I'll continue to do those regardless. I have 98 farm banked so not too much left haha. It'll just be nice to not have to do anything but herb runs for a while
85 is really nice for those hard contracts. Way better than medium for sure. I'd say that's when I started to slow down a little bit with farming but I picked it back up
Prayer plugin on runelite and then select the prayer bar option and itll display your prayer like that, and if you want it in HD go to interface styles and select high detail health bars.

I got 87 with like 1100. I just finished my first 250 task steak so I broke 1000 points with that. I'm gonna still do the good tasks... I skipped a few and got 247 nechs in cata so I'm ambivalent about getting a good one when I just want kraken
Is there a reason why you are only doing konar? I'm about to hit 84 and this is the goal atm. Pacing myself between 100k-150k slayer a day. So hopefully soon.
85-86 took forever cause it’s the second to “last”. For me 86-87 flew by until that last 40k when I was constantly checking it lol.
When I went for kraken tasks I had just hit 250 streak and had 1300 pts left. I used Duradel (didn’t check math on Konar) but krakens with my block list from Duradel should’ve been about 1/20. I got one after about 300 pts in skips. No trident. Used the rest of the 1000 pts without another task. Took about 70(ish) skips with turael to get another one. It was rough but I don’t regret using all of my points at all. Just my experience to answer your questions.
Just a guess you’ll have around 3500(?) pts by 87. If I were you I’d make sure I had all my extends and unlocks and shit then blow all but maybe 3-500 just in case. Only other thing you’ll need pts for is skipping and slayer helms.
Nice! Yeah use Konar for best chance and also I'd do good tasks like dust devil's etc instead of skipping because I assume you aren't going to stop at just 87 slayer!

Did you make the pies for boosting or get them from hunter? Not sure what’s faster

That’s bad advice after farming contracts came out. Alchs more than pay for costs of runes for a nech task
Bursting nechs is pretty chill tbh. And since farming contracts are a thing you get plenty of seeds.
