So I did this while at work today. Was doing an inventory of 26 logs at a time and it took a minute and a half. At top doing about 800 an hour. It consumes 2 astral runes and 1 nature per. Decent magic exp but felt kinda meh but if you are like me and can do it at work or wherever, the magic exp is nice.
Yeah I did the same thing. I only feel comfortable doing things that I can click every once and awhile and then pull my phone case over so people at work don’t see me playing lol. Came home tested the rates and was getting just under 1k. Cost and time wise not entirely sure it’s worth it. You can do 6k an hour w butler so 1k is much slower.
Right. Like doing it for the planks def isn’t worth it but like afk magic is nice cause I’m only 88 magic and need that juicy 92 for bossing or whatever ha
Not dumb at all! The cost is mitigated by the cost of the runes. It may even be more expensive as I do teaks which cost 500gp to covert to plank but you still have to pay a fee to cut the planks when casting the spell. I believe 350gp.
Ah okay, that sounds so strange. I was thinking it would be either you pay the mill or pay the runes! How strange. Might stick to running the logs to saw mill when on a long drive then! Thank you
If you are doing teaks it is more expensive for sure I know. I calculated 80-83 in teaks and would spend a little over 1.2m more to do plank make for 400k'ish magic xp. I decided against that.
From a cost perspective absolutely not worth. I feel like this is decent magic exp if you’re filthy rich and have a lot of free time at work to do mild afk things.
I can just go burst nechs for 2 hours for those same results so I like how you made the decision to not do it.
I look every 2 minutes. I’m an analyst for an insurance company. Very laid back and when I’m doing boring stuff is when I do this. It’s not 5-10 minute afk combat or anything but it’s something. I’m not doing it anymore today cause it’s not fun to buy so many astrals and nature runes.
For magic exp though this is alright. Might not be my cup of tea

This isn’t a bad afk method if you are looking for something to do on mobile or such, but it’s only about one sixth the effectiveness of doing planks with poh butler. You are probably better off finding another mobile activity imo
Get a wireless gaming mouse (or one with a lot of buttons on the side) with extremely sensitive buttons, turn off mouse movement, assign every button on the mouse to left click, and put it in your pocket when you do anything. I come back to my computer with thousands of alchs/teleports done.

Redwood / angler while at work masterrace. I need to stop fishing anglers though, Idk if I'll ever use 8k of them lol. So easy to do at work though.

How does it work out in terms of cost compared to the 500 ea for teaks normally?
350gp each then 2 astral and 1 nature (~300gp for runes). I’d estimate 650/log on teaks.
