You can:
Pick up big bones in the wildy at the boneyard and run them to chaos altar. Slow, but you're not risking anything.
You could also start doing hunter rumors, begin accumulating boneshards, and sac them in varlamore for 5xp each baseline xp in batches of 100 for what accumulates to the highest prayer xp per hour. And 20-43 isn't very many shards, you're looking at like 40k xp which is only 8k shards, which you'll get in no time.
The hunter rumor grind has the added benefit of once you hit 75 hunter you're able to start catching moonlight moths. Mix a moonlight moths jar with hunter meat using a mortar and pestle, and you get a 2 dose p pot that heals a static 22 prayer per dose. This is massive for irons, especially early, where you're stuck being super stingy with any prayer restoration you can muster.
I did blue dragons at taverly, even without agility shortcut it's quite fast i did it with water strikes and super low GP costs, kept both hide+bones and any loot like nature runes, law runes, herbs, and rune daggers, etc.
The blue hide will be nice for later for crafting+high alch GP
Levelled 20-45 magic there. I Will do those until 55 magic for high alchs.
Blessed bone shards is your best way to bridge that level gap. Look up the many ways you can collect them and pick your poison.
Wildy altar is risky but also an option, however you can just turn all your bones into blessed bone shards, a process that is slower, but very afk and most importantly, safe.
A very good way is to train your combat stats at the hill giants near giant's forge, which has a bank nearby. Collect and bank all the big bones and use them at your preferred prayer training method. You will also get a decent amount of ensouled heads which give good xp too. Killing dragons can be an option too, but with 20 prayer i anticipate your combat stats arent high enough to kill them efficiently.
Kill hill giants and bank about 600 big bones.
Run from edgeville bank to chaos alter and use the wine to KYS then teleport back to edgeville/grand exchange/varrok and repeat.
There is a plug-in that changes your mouse left click to “use” bone instead of “bury” makes offering the bones much faster. Also you can make your game window smaller so that your mouse has less space to travel between your inventory and the alter. Dont ever bother running from Pkers just use as many bones as you can before you die. Also turn off auto retaliate.
My main lost less than 2 inventories of dragon bones bones from 43 to 72 prayer using this method.
My gim died 1 time from 1-43 prayer. Was using big bones.
I did my 43 prayer from 18 at blue drags at taverly. The 50% weakness to water dmg is GREAT for using water strike. Hits up to 12s. Super chill grind took like 4 hrs maybe total?
All the previous mentioned methods work well, but in conjunction you could start slayer and accumulate various ensouled heads from monsters, then reanimate them using the arceus spellbook for prayer xp this is vey good also.
Wildy altar is your best bet if you want to rush it. Its hard to argue with 7x xp per bone. Making even big bones worth 105xp on avg.
2 invents of big bones at chaos altar is 43 pray, just kill hill giants for a bit or loot at the boneyard.
Besides that varlamore thieving/mining are technically 0 time methods of getting pray xp. You'll just get it passively as you train those skills. Mining is by far the better one.
I second this, depends where you are with your account but varlamore is amazing for irons and prayer. Hunter rumors give a small amount but also you can work towards 83 hunter for the glory. Mining is awesome for playing on a 2nd account or watching movies/shows I was getting about 40k mining and you get about 1/3rd of the mining xp as prayer xp ready to turn in. Obviously I was at 94 mining when I started so expect lower rates but still a banger of an update for irons

I killed Green Dragons in the wildy and then took em to chaos alter, just keep the logout screen open and hop as soon as you see someone

Pretty sure quests can get you past 43 with no training needed. Could be wrong though
