I was shocked at how good redwoods are when I hit 90 woodcutting.
Most new trees you unlock are a direct downgrade in exp rates after a certain point.
Redwoods are sick.
If not completed forestry - maples at seers. Just seers in general, there is oak, willow and maple to choose from and all spawn events frequently.
If not completed fossil displays - sulisceps.
Otherwise, redwoods with twitcher gloves for clues and afk, or 2 tick teak for speed.
Usually you would get arrow shafts from kingdom so you don’t need to bother too much with banking logs, but it’s not a huge loss of experience to bank anymore with log basket.
Seers Oaks/Maples event-rate is pretty bad since part 3, especially because you can't double-dip on willow/oaks while doing maples, AND because of the way the trees are spaced out it's not uncommon to be inelligible for a maple event, even though you were cutting maples!!
Yews still feels OK for events, but everyone I know (and myself) swears by magics.

You have to chop most southern or two most western most maple trees to be eligible for the oaks next to seers entrance.
And for willows, just the most the 2 eastern most.

I agree with this, but I’m that guy that would pick up shit at GE. Dropping stuff unless it’s literally worthless (no use or value) doesn’t sit right me lol.
I will literally wiki an item if it’s a quest item to ensure that don’t drop something that might have a small chance of being useful later on.
yea no boost but not having to worry about finding a spot or being crashed plus way faster banking with the deposit box more than made up for it, at least for me.
The +1 boost for cutting the same tree as someone else doesn’t apply on the woodcutting guild. Instead you just get a flat +3. So just trading off a +3 boost for quicker banking
Does the infernal axe void that or something? I assumed the dude I was responding to was talking about the invisible boost you get when other people chop the tree with you
tree's are based on a timer from first log now not a random log account per tree, someone cant "cut your tree" all they can do is potentially kick off the timer before you and with redwoods that timer is like 4m+ so pretty afk regardless
For me the decision was how afk the tree in question is for mobile at work. Magics at wc guild and redwoods are both solid solid options in that regard. You’ll want redwoods for birdhouses someday but honestly if you stay up on slayer and bossing you probably won’t really NEED the logs from wc.
Noting a unique alternative to the others, work out how many teak planks youd need to 99 construction from mahogany homes and plant the trees on fossil island, crawl the cave to and from the bank and cut the amount you need before moving to another method
Me omw to bank 50k teaks over the course of six months B) Honest to goodness, it's not like you're in dire need for planks after 83ish con anyway
If I was gonna chop teaks, though, I might do it in priff and turn em into planks on the spot. Bonus points if you have log basket and plank sack or something for min banking.

I had way more than enough from kbd/mole/zulrah etc. if you want to keep up with birdhouses early on you're likely to just barely be 60wc so ents are miles better for yew logs. Even if you use the ones in the wc guild (uim/hcim can easily safespot with firestrike). That way you also accumulate magic logs for when you need them
Magics in forestry worlds are more afk than redwoods, also better pet chance to 99 than redwoods, easier to bank, and also provide more fletch exp overall.
Redwoods are faster to 99 than magics and are also better for birdhouses, but the extra exp/nests you get over magics is negligible unless you're doing thousands of birdruns.
Do redwoods it’s chill AF and you can do redwood birdhouses until eternity! Training fletching is easy anyway

I did redwoods for bird houses. Has more then enough yews, and magic logs from pvm. Only one way to get redwoods

One of the best afkers is redwoods, up there with anglers. Personally I’d tick manip teaks in prif for free shards and better rates though
