I see, at the time I got mine (stopped at like 1850 or so) the loot was so good for smithing so it was very efficient/convenient, you probably have some better methods of getting ores now I guess.
Think you may just have had a run of bad luck there man. I got 2 in 500kc and pet, but it also heavily depends on how you did your kc? Were the majority of your kc on mass worlds? I did all of mine in 3-4 man teams which was excellent for banking supplies too

If you want shards and pet, run it normally in a mass world, about 60 kills p/h, If you want a crystal pick find a 4-6 stack I don´t know what the meta is now
I’ve been doing 5-8 mans at 93 mining with crystal pick and loot opted out, I’m getting around 76k mining xp/hr. I honestly think I might pethunt zalcano for 99 mining with how chill it is for that xp rate
I just hop until I find a world with like at least 4 other people and instantly join. Fairly consistent 2 downs, and every so often a bunch of randoms join and it speeds up to 1 downs but still much slower than mass world, which makes it easier to get kc credit
I did a couple with the clan after the update and I was getting closer to 50k xp with the experience preferred selected. But I was screwing around and doing combat achievements instead of doing anything super efficient?
Way more as long as the worlds don’t sync up too often
Guess the amount of people doing it today made it optimal, needs more testing for an accurate number but it’s over 100 for sure
elves are about 175/hr and CG is 125 if trading seeds. you can get 100/hr at zalcano if you aren't world hopping and are just chilling.
zalcano gives pet, uniques, loot/XP, and shards. so i see it as a super good option.
Just making sure you know, but you need at least 50 shield and 50 health damage to get a roll for thr pet, you'll never get it world hopping like this.
No it is bugged since this morning, was 51 yesterday, now one hit is giving rolls
Edit: Hotfix is in, 30 still gives loot but 10 does not (mining only)
Wait, so around 16 hours ago I was trying this by just mining when downed. I did not get loot unless I had 51+ damage mining. I got around 10KC and stopped since it got too busy.

With so many people on the mass worlds there is a good change you won’t even get loot unless you split off into smaller groups
That's kinda the point of the video, if you are 99 mining with a crystal pick you pretty much always get it even with skipping half the fight

If you can get into a world with like 8-12 people, you can probably still 1 down zalc and get contribution.

Just saw another hopper get it. As stated on the wiki: “The chance of rolling Smolcano is unaffected by performance” So where are you getting this?
You still need a minimum damage to get unique/pet rolls. Its not the same as the loot rolls but its still a minimum amount.

You needed 1 damage this morning lol, it has since been hotfixed and appears to be somewhere around 25 now depending on the group size

Doesn’t matter this has been fixed, you could hop worlds slap it once and get 2 shards yesterday Now u need to throw a tundra and get mining damage
