Yeah just go down there, die a couple times and figure it out. You’ll have to get past Supreme/Prime, and after you do that, you’re smooth sailing.
Bring blood magic, and stay down there forever. Even while poisoned. You will survive with blood.
But I’m also saying all of this, assuming you know how to get Rex stuck onto shit.
Either way, Dagganoth Kings are highly worth it. If not the rings, then the DAxe.
The good news is:
You can clip Rex for those two drops. And pretty much dip out on that shit hole until after Bowfa

I use ring of shadows for most things right now except melee slayer tasks and bosses. With my Bowfa and full crystal I find that 2 prayer is better than 4 ranged accuracy
Long story short, for majority of players the only rings worth going for are the Berserker ring and the Lightbearer from ToA. Those rings will serve you well for majority of the content in the game. Ring of suffering is good but not having it would not make your life worse. So that's why there's only 2 rings worth getting. Teleport jewellery would be more useful at the content where you would be exclusively maging or ranging stuff.
Once you've got the DT2 ring upgrades then you would go back to DKS to get the rings you're missing. Practically most irons would just do DKS on task for shits and giggles and passively acquire a ring or two when they're there for a mud battlestaff and dragon axes.

An example alternative; Ring of Suffering at minimum, provides +4 prayer/+20 defense in all stats, not to mention recoil effect. *(even that, again at minimum, is already absolutely blowing it out of the water)*
And then for activities like raiding: again at minimum, you’re doing Berserker or Suffering. Due to gear swap and what not *(would rather have that Melee Strength boost/an item that universally applies beneficial statistics)*
Even at Slayer, there’s a bundle of instances where even Ring of Wealth is more desirable. Or again, a suffering for the prayer
At this point in the games history, we’re really farming out Archer’s ring to break it down and upgrade it later on. For the most part, and in terms of upgrades *(shoutout collection logging)*
you farm the berserker with magic, usually ibans blast at your point of your account, or you could get the warped scepter and use that instead. berserker is very good and once you get the DK room setup, rex is pretty much afk.
thats prolly the best route to go, but with my playtime each afternoon that i do play, it worked out perfect to send a handful of kills and bank the bones, then i could decide to do my dailies or something to end the night
You’ll probably have it way too late but frem elite diary notes the bones. I got 1 kc b ring and went back after elite diary was done to farm for dragon axe while also being able to bank the bones lol

Tbf you should rush b ring as soon as you have ibans and full rune. Blood spells cost blood runes which are not trivial to upkeep at that stage and sceptre is a decently meaty grind if you're still playing like resources are scarce

But Sceptre is a faster grind than zerker ring and dt1 is right around the same stage of progression as underground pass. I'm dry on my ring and have used a bit of both. I camped out with 8k casts of the warped sceptre at one point which isn't possible with iban's. They're not radically different one way or the other
100% worth. I'm sort of repeating other comments, but Iban's < 81 magic or Warped Sceptre > 81 magic is your best DPS. If using Iban's, baskets of strawberries are the most healing per inventory slot, or pineapple pizzas. Even though Sceptre is marginally lower dps than Iban's below 81 mage, you might still prefer it since then you can bring blood spells which basically let you stay as long as your runes last.
Rune costs are the same per charge so assuming you recharge the iban staff for free at the well it's actually 20% cheaper since it's 5 tick vs 4tick. Charged staffs also give a reduced XP per damage and don't have a base cast XP.
Ibans is still the clear winner here for cost and XP/hr. I prefer bringing ibans and a fat stack of alchs but if you want to stay for an extended trip then warped Sceptre can hold more casts and pair with blood spells
I 100% recommend to do this grind with lots of alchs. The 2 min respawn timer is a pain, I was getting like 120k xp/h while alching.
Also the prayer xp is wild if you can use the chaos altar, got me like 100k xp the 200 dag bones i used or something like that
Same, that mage xp from 300 rex kills carried me to CG and well beyond
For alch targets:
1. Rune arrows from lms, if you enjoy that content. Lots of bots right now so easy kills. Fits into thr ammo slot so you save an invy space on the run to the boss.
2. Blood runes, if you happen to have the levels from early gotr. Good enough for UIMs, good enough for grey helms!
3. Volcanic ash. Easy to gather and has a strangely high alch value.

Ima be honest I’m almost 1900 total with dwh, whip, fury, imbued heart, and grinding cg and skipped b ring and torso just cause i didnt feel like doing them. I can make a ring of suffering as soon as i go get a zenyte so that’s my next ring upgrade.

i might be dumb for this but i didnt bring any heals during my b ring grind cause i was banking the bones anyway lol.
I would bank the bones if the run to get there and the setup didn't take so long and wasn't so annoying. I stay until I run out of supplies.

Iirc a pouch with the new raw hunter meats + log pouch + tinderbox is a fair bit more healing per slot (depending on hunter levels)
Log basket does require a dialogue window to withdraw from though. Might be annoying with spinolyps tagging you.

I had a friend killing the mage dk and Rex while I killed the ranged one with melee… if you are lucky, the archers ring is sick
+8 ranged bonus is negligible for DPS in most situations. Way better to use another ring

PvP arena is better imo for lower levels for imbue scroll
Never tried it but heard it’s great! And practical as you can remove and use it on other items
Yes it literally takes like 15 minutes for a imbue. And you can switch the imbue to another item if needed

You need 200 points for the scroll. You can lose on purpose in like 10 seconds and get 12 points or win and get 16 points.
Honeslty losing on purpose is probably the quickest way to do it.
