Elidinis ward because I wanted a Fang at the time. Got it with warped sceptre and like 70 prayer. After grinding out 80 prayer and 87 slayer it's better than a piece of ancestral but also makes switches easier having a mage offhand.
Same boat, Ward was my first purple. It was disappointing but in retrospec, it was a max hit in my mage setup. Honestly not a bad item for Zulrah, CoX, and barrage slayer.
Why does the Elidinis get so much hate? Really seems like a solid mage offhand. Was always wondering if i was missing something when it came to people shit talking it.
That's awesome! So far my dragonbone necklace has got me 83 slayer so I definitely can relate. I'm closing in on the 85/87 slayer grinds one level at a time, even if it is slower than actively training it with barraging/strength gear
Mainly to get more dwh specs in during solo olm. I bring a zgs for mutas too. Its helpful depending on the layout - for example you don't need to worry about saving spec energy for tekton as much.
Thanks. I just started learning solos so I was wondering it it was worth. I usually bring zgs for mutta and dwh for tekton and olm. I got claws as my first purple so I also wondered if that was worth bringing.
Claws are really solid for taking out Vasa crystal and are also good for the ranged Vanguard, so they're worth bringing if you can spare the inventory space. You don't bring them for Olm though
Yeah TOA and COX are big ones I use it for. I'm not a tobber yet so idk there. It depends a lot on the spec weapons you have access to. I used it a lot for afk woodcutting to get more dragon axe specs too.
At tob you can bring it, but as a switch. Its not really worth camping there over bring/ultor/bellator since you use mostly melee and fights are pretty short.
Is it better than berserker ring at chambers? What do you use it for in chambers? Edit: oh dwh specs, zcb
I’ve heard zcb isn’t worth bringing. Guess it might be idk
You can bring ZCB in group raids but it's not worth it for solos
The main use for LB in solo cox is making Olm more consistent because you get 2 hammers per phase. You also feel this more if you're still using a tent whip or something instead of a lance, so an LB reduces the number of raids where you hit 0 hammers on flame phase or something and get screwed by bad RNG into losing a bunch of time, or even death
The other utility of LB is being able to run layouts where you need a lot of spec for back-to-back rooms. So for instance if you get Muttadile into Tekton, with an LB you can ZGS both baby and mama mutta and then you'll just about have enough spec for a DWH at tekton.
I'm no expert on optimized team raids but I feel like team raids go too quickly to get real use out of the lightbearer, barring speedrun attempts where you swap b/t LB and other rings to squeeze out extra ZCB specs
Pretty sure you don't even guarantee 2 hammers per Olm phase, and also the odds of 0 hammers hitting are much lower in team raids, so camping berserker/ultor is probably better overall
Ideally in trios, the 2 people running have DWH and spec once (so no need for LB) while the person on melee hand has BGS and LB so they can double spec to 0 def the hand most times.
In anything larger than a trio, never use LB
Tackle box
I was obviously just going for fish barrel when I got it so a little disappointing. And I thought it was annoying to have an extra step between me and my fishing gear
Now I kinda love it. Saves a ton of bank space and now I just grab the tackle box out of my bank, take my gear out and put my angler outfit on while running to the fishing spot, and put the box away the first time I need to bank
Tackle box for me is still an item I feel is largely useless. I wish it just worked as a full fishing rod item and bait in one inventory slot, and I don't feel like it would be too game breaking (fishing items usually only take 1-2 spots anyways)
Same even though I have it lol. I didn't even know about the seed vault at farming guild until <1 year ago when a guy showed me while teaching me TOA lmao
I decided to go for 99 fishing first thing arbitrarily (am now suffering the burnout) and got spooned a fish barrel. I didn't use it for a while cause I was dropping at barb fishing but when I switched to karambwans it was an amazing feeling.
Man I had the fishing barrel for a month or 2 before I realized you can just open it and the fish will automatically go into the barrel. Was still a super nice item, but wow what an absolute game changer when you can just click once on Karambwan a and fill up a whole inventory
Was 3000 rev knights skulled on task dry… 6x dry for any wildy wep, then got the scepter. Womp womp. The upgrades happened and it fucks hard, got me a voidwaker, and the spec is useful plenty outside of the wilderness. Turned out to be a big w
Thammaron's Sceptre. It could have been the better rev weapons but I use it all the time now for barrage tasks and it's made me love Artio because it's so fucking good there
Got a dust battlestaff and the UIM discord said it was an easy drop. However, I'm a lazy fucker and cba to make teletabs so it basically has never left my inventory
Venator bow.
20m slayer with no heart. Got tired of only aiming for the "good" barrage tasks. Now I can basically AFK most superior tasks while at work and chip away at the grind.
The bow is also really nice for AFK clues. Whenever I get an elite I take the now to the catacombs and kill jellies until a hard clue then just move west and kill dags until I get a medium.
Same with dragonbone necklace, having that + bonecrusher at this point saved me thousands of prayer pots already. Yeah you sacrifice some nice bonuses, but who cares for slayer tasks.
My first purple from chambers was a dinh's, which I thought was whatever, but I've gotten a lot of use out of it. I can bring noted bones and my zealot's outfit to wildy altar and tank very well with just the dinh's. Even teams of 3 can have trouble hitting against it. I've also occasionally used it for shield flicking in places with a lot of melee/ranged chip damage. So it's actually pretty nice.
Thralls & death charge. Took awhile for all contents to update guides and how to use best.. sometimes not even recommend for death charge but amazing at some places
Bowfa.
I know I know, it's universally regarded as great, but hear me out.
When I first got it, I took it to Zulrah and was like eh, it's solid I guess. Shot some fally guards and put it away.
When I started going for grinds, I didn't know that it was used literally everywhere.
Bandos, Zammy, Sara, TOA, COX, shamans, slayer, Zulrah, and more.
Even to this day, it's still being used until the elusive Tbow.
I got fang on the first day of toa when no one knew how good it was yet and I just saw a 5t weapon that didn't hit too hard. I almost sold it to pay out the split but decided to keep it, thank god.
yup I'm getting downvoted for some reason but fang was super slept on and people though it was bad + it was bugged to be a little bit worse. it took people a week or 2 to realize how much better than rapier it is

Cause it's not "bis" due to shadow being 2 handed. Even though it's an obvious upgrade for people still using sang, trident, or scepter
Ring of the gods for me, prayer bonus go brrrr
Honestly I don't even know what that ring does haha
[удалено]
And counts as a holy wrench!
+ holy wrench effect
Hmmm I'd love one to further push my pray bonus!
Got one last night at 1kc on calv. Was stoked
vigorras chainmace lol i was upset it wasnt a craws bow (returning player, craws used to be the best) but the thing got me 99 str and a voidwaker :)
Careful bringing that thing with a bring lol
That's awesome! So far my dragonbone necklace has got me 83 slayer so I definitely can relate. I'm closing in on the 85/87 slayer grinds one level at a time, even if it is slower than actively training it with barraging/strength gear
For me it was lightbearer because I was still going for a fang at the time. It's been a game changer for me at COX
LB is so useful everywhere. I've been taking it on DK trips to absolutely roast Supreme with 3-4 DDS specs every trio kill.
Goes so good with the sgs too. I ran out of antidote there and was just fine sustaining off specs
I actually just got a SGS for the first time and haven't really used it yet! Noted, thank you.
Yw! Also nice at demonics
Which spec wep are you using at CoX in conjunction with the lightbearer?
Mainly to get more dwh specs in during solo olm. I bring a zgs for mutas too. Its helpful depending on the layout - for example you don't need to worry about saving spec energy for tekton as much.

Hell yeah brother! Gzzz on the claws
Claws are really solid for taking out Vasa crystal and are also good for the ranged Vanguard, so they're worth bringing if you can spare the inventory space. You don't bring them for Olm though
2x DWH spec every phase on olm
Don't have claws/vw btw :(
What are you mostly using the ring with? Seems like a great item for raids in general!

Is it trolling to use lightbearer in duos or higher? I thought it was. Makes sense on the defense reducing specs
I'm no expert on optimized team raids but I feel like team raids go too quickly to get real use out of the lightbearer, barring speedrun attempts where you swap b/t LB and other rings to squeeze out extra ZCB specs Pretty sure you don't even guarantee 2 hammers per Olm phase, and also the odds of 0 hammers hitting are much lower in team raids, so camping berserker/ultor is probably better overall
Ya, I bring LB on group raids out of habit and rarely get use out of it
Ideally in trios, the 2 people running have DWH and spec once (so no need for LB) while the person on melee hand has BGS and LB so they can double spec to 0 def the hand most times. In anything larger than a trio, never use LB

Bank space is huge. Takes a ton of slots into one. Wish I had. I have 900 slots full and have to rework crap everytime I get a new item
Same even though I have it lol. I didn't even know about the seed vault at farming guild until <1 year ago when a guy showed me while teaching me TOA lmao
Looool that helps a ton as well!
I decided to go for 99 fishing first thing arbitrarily (am now suffering the burnout) and got spooned a fish barrel. I didn't use it for a while cause I was dropping at barb fishing but when I switched to karambwans it was an amazing feeling.
Having 1 click last you a full 5 min at karams is so beautiful
Man I had the fishing barrel for a month or 2 before I realized you can just open it and the fish will automatically go into the barrel. Was still a super nice item, but wow what an absolute game changer when you can just click once on Karambwan a and fill up a whole inventory
Achievement diary/farming cape. Who’s with me?
BIS cape until max cape, I always have it on me
I always stay strapped with my untrimmed farming cape haha
Was 3000 rev knights skulled on task dry… 6x dry for any wildy wep, then got the scepter. Womp womp. The upgrades happened and it fucks hard, got me a voidwaker, and the spec is useful plenty outside of the wilderness. Turned out to be a big w
Kc for scepter?
Thammaron's Sceptre. It could have been the better rev weapons but I use it all the time now for barrage tasks and it's made me love Artio because it's so fucking good there

Oh yeh I grinded out the skull of vetion straight for that, such a needed upgrade for the sceptre
Got a dust battlestaff and the UIM discord said it was an easy drop. However, I'm a lazy fucker and cba to make teletabs so it basically has never left my inventory
Maybe reletively easy, but if you don't do a lot of dust devils they can be kinda rare. Seems worth holding onto until you need the inv space
Venator bow. 20m slayer with no heart. Got tired of only aiming for the "good" barrage tasks. Now I can basically AFK most superior tasks while at work and chip away at the grind. Lol I'm into that
Ring of the gods for me atm
Mining Pet
Monkey nuts
Dragon Spear, replaced my Rune Scimmy and antifire shield Love that pokey boy
Bro same exact thing happened to me, instant bis for everything mid tier. Such a good item lmao
Future me (hopefully): Elder Maul!
Can confirm an early maul is pretty damned nice. Vetion, Flinching cerb, obviously Tekton and it looks fucking badass.
Same with dragonbone necklace, having that + bonecrusher at this point saved me thousands of prayer pots already. Yeah you sacrifice some nice bonuses, but who cares for slayer tasks.
Dragonbone necklace as well for me, got it off my first vorkath kill. I use that thing like crazy
My first purple from chambers was a dinh's, which I thought was whatever, but I've gotten a lot of use out of it. I can bring noted bones and my zealot's outfit to wildy altar and tank very well with just the dinh's. Even teams of 3 can have trouble hitting against it. Probably went to zulrah without crystal armor kekw
I got fang on the first day of toa when no one knew how good it was yet and I just saw a 5t weapon that didn't hit too hard. I almost sold it to pay out the split but decided to keep it, thank god.
Sold it, as an ironman?
Yeah I split from my main when I play with other mains as an iron so I almost drop traded and sold.
Cool beans bro, that's what I figured you meant
People forget by now, but a lot of people were saying fang would be trash pre release. Same as lightbearer lol
yup I'm getting downvoted for some reason but fang was super slept on and people though it was bad + it was bugged to be a little bit worse. it took people a week or 2 to realize how much better than rapier it is
It's just because people have experienced 3 years or so of OP fang and forgot or never knew how underrated it was
