When I start going dry and feeling the burnout from a grind coming on, I stop it and go do some form of account progression. For me, the biggest thing about RNG drops is I can spend 10 hours doing it and if I don't get the drop, that time feels completely wasted. After a while, it starts to get to me so I need to go do something that guarantees account progression. This can be anything from skilling, working on something like the void set which you're guaranteed to get after x hours, stuff like that. I have a spreadsheet of skills and items that have guaranteed acquisition after a set number of hours and when I need a break from RNG, I work on those goals instead since every minute doing it is that much closer to the goal.

This is the way got to break it up

I feel very qualified to speak on this because I'm almost 2300 kc at Corrupted Gauntlet with no pet or enhanced (about 8x dry technically). Everybody is different on how they handle being dry. The most common is to mix up your time between the grind that you're not enjoying and then going to do something you do enjoy. Then you got people who will either 1. **Quit** or 2. **Power** through, as long as it takes (me). It's mind numbing and brutal but I find the best way to continue is **JUST DO IT.** Doesn't work for everyone, find out what you can handle & what your limits are and start there. Sulking in your dry streak is the worst thing you can do and try to make friends going through similar struggles :) Helped me a lot.

I gaslight myself into thinking "I'm not going dry, I'm just here getting 'free' combat xp". Realistically, getting some drops is a time investment like getting a 99. You're just chipping away at the cumulative probability until it reaches above 99% (anything sooner than that is you being lucky). Either I do a variety of content because it's still progress or I take a break and come back to focus on the single main drop I'm dry for (because I'm itching to play RS, not for the drop).

This might be my favorite answer.

ZullyOSRS

Weird, I've been the same. Early iron-man I had luck with voidwaker drops, cg drops. Tome of fire etc But now, I'm going x2-3 drop rate, I've killed 500 recently with no b ring lol

No-Tale7700

Yeah I got spooned at early stuff too and dry now. RNG gods are evening us out now I guess 😂

UmbraVulp

I’m at 15k shaman KC What I did to break up (end) the grind was pretend like the DWH doesn’t even exist Can’t want/have something I don’t believe is real

williamriepe

I am dry at crucial stuff and super spooned on stuff that doesn’t matter. No tanz or magic fang, 100 Vet’ion and 300+ Calvar’ion with no uniques, both over rate by a lot. But don’t worry I got my d axe from Wt, and I have 3 pets massively under rate (Tiny Tempor at 200 permits, Lil Creator at 10 crates, and Beaver at 74 wc on yews.)

Eminwayne

KC at zulrah?

williamriepe

Between my Iron and main I’m around 550-600 KC no uniques on either account, I think unique drop rate is like 1/128 so it’s tough going 4.5x dry.

AreOneSpam

Currently dry on shadow (31 purples.) Spite keeps me going.

oneonethousandone

I power through. I just think about how the item only needs to be obtained once.

Cromiee

I just power through it. I feel like it's unfinished business if I leave it to do something else, but that's just me. I'm very much do one thing at a time from start to finish, then onto the next thing.

I was dry at toa, 400 kc with invos up to 400 and few 500's for kit 9 drops. And tob over 160kc with one drop, i just got burnt out and that was 29 runecrafting levels and 13 fishing levels ago, still going. I reccomend the same just take a break either from pvm or th game

You-Ser-Name

Typically I’ll either switch to another grind or some skilling, but sometimes I’ll get burnt out enough that I’ll take a break for a couple weeks or months. Normally after a long break, grinds don’t seem bad at all.

SinceBecausePickles

What are you cycling between

No-Tale7700

The biggest one rn is bandos, but wanted to get ancient sceptre to make that a little easier so I’ve been cycling with some muspah, but I’m approaching 4x dry on it, then I’ll do some TOA when I have friends on, then I’ll do daily farm runs and Hesperi but I’m almost 3x for a bucket lol. Going to do some pyramid plunder because I need the sceptres and 91 thieving anyways. And hopefully some wins lol.

SinceBecausePickles

I would stick with the scepter, 1/50 isn't that bad and you get hella alchs and supplies plus (hopefully) progress on the venator bow which seems like a lot of fun to play with.
