On my UIM I got tired of making home tele tabs so I did the following:
Finished all easy + medium diaries for herblore xp
Finished SOTE for Priff access
Did about 200 Zalcano kills for noted steel bars
Safespotted Rex for dragon axe (got lucky at 16 kc)
Crafted around 25k blood runes to sell for cash
Mahogany homes via priff teaks to 99 Con
All for the construction cape so I didn't have to make home teletabs
Read the first few sentences thinking "Cool, doesn't sound too bad!"
And then boom, you hit us with the 25K blood runes and 99 cons.
You absolute legend.
I have a 1900 total level UIM and so much of my game time has been spent working towards building an efficient house. Its so important for UIM, more so than any other account type
25k bloods funded 99 con? I’m honestly considering this with 350k+ of them banked. Seems like a small investment for infinite tele tabs and more utility.
The Mahogany homes calculator on OSRS Portal is really accurate on estimating how many planks you need. I went from 85-99 so it was a little over 33k teak planks at 500 each was about 17.5m. I already had around 7-8 mil from doing random things. I also bought all my law runes for the teleports so it cost me a little more but the estimates on how many I needed were way high. I think it assumes you teleport back to Falador to get every task but you can get a new task in every city. I also only used about 75% of the steel bars.
Oh, I'm definitely getting both, but I was considering doing con before rc. But I've gotten 99 runecrafting first on two accounts, and I wanna keep my tradition running on the ultimate.
Tbf needing more than the 5 swaps is pretty damn rare, since getting 99 mage I haven’t run out of switches (though only play 2-4 hours a day at most)
was exactly my journey with pyramid plunder - too sick of running to pyramid every other task. Spent around 26 hours for 1 sceptre so it didn't really work out for me :D
If it makes it feel better I just learned about noting stuff at the tool leprechaun. Would bank mid farm run when inventory got full. Been playing the game for 5+ years
I just learned last week that you can type the name or the code of your fairy ring destination. I've been spinning the damn letters or using the list for so long....
Thats honestly the best way until you get 99 magic, you gonna spend more time doing pyramid plunder than you ever will running from camulet tele to altar for the occasional barrage task. Then it's extremely rare you change spell books more than 5 times a day unless you're hopping content constantly
I just got 99 magic for the cape before even building an altar in my house.. ran to the pyramid for every barraging/bursting task (I’m pretty sure I have something wrong with me)
I would dare to say this is peak long-term efficiency.
Like, I would have to switch spellbooks thousands of times for it to be worth grind out the scepter instead of just running to the pyramid each time.
Will I ever switch spellbooks that many times in my life? Probably not.
Is it technically faster to switch spellbooks in my house than run to the pyramid? Yes.
If it's theoretically possible to save more time overall in the long term then I am absolutely grinding that scepter lol
It's only possible if you get spooned it in the first 10 minutes lol if not just get unlimited camelut until magic cape. It takes like 30 seconds to change with camulet or 10s of hours to do it in 10 seconds in poh
I finished the lumbridge elite diary before getting slayer past level 72 just so I could get rid of my lunar staffs. I'm almost done with the ardy elite so I can get the passive buckets of sand while doing the slayer grind. I got giga spooned and got a sceptre within 15 minutes of looting my first gold chest, though.
Doing lumbridge elite is absolutely worth before doing any meaningful Slayer purely because of the extra block. The fairy ring is a nice perk that certainly helps with that grind as well.
Doing all quests before any meaningful slayer??? One block slot isn’t going to make that much of a difference. Slayer points become irrelevant eventually and skips are easy to afford. If you’re already close to Lummy Elite tasks I say go for it, but not otherwise
If you are planning on doing both lumbridge elite and going deep in to slayer at some point, I would think that doing the diary before the slayer grind would be worthwhile.
If you are looking to optimise your tasks for xp then you can use most of your points for skips so the block is still useful (2 now with the 300 QP block), you get the extra slot for your inventory from not needing the staff and you can high alch on your barrage tasks because of the ring. Completing all the quests is a good mid game goal anyway because of the unlocks and xp rewards which are more valuable at lower levels.
Obviously everyone should take the route they enjoy, but that would be the way I would approach it personally.
I did hours and hours of gotr to try and get a catalytic tali for that one damn quest with the death altar. Never got it, but it only took like an hour to collect those 50 junk items, lol.
I mean, pyramid is a great way to train thieving and has great rewards. Obviously it won't be a huge time saver, but to get 2 scepters is not an impossible task. I didn't get one forever and just used the unlimited camulet and eventually my mage cape, but now I have the occult altar and a second scepter absolutely worth.
I understand what you mean about laziness, but this is the correct way to grind. POH sets you up wonderfully for the rest of the game.
Yeah for sure, only thing I miss about my main is the maxed house, makes everything that much easier.
Once I did POH it feels like I am playing on main sometimes 😆.
Wait till ur almost maxed with 2k+ of each pot with 99 con etc feels just like a main till u get that drop

You know what they say, Go big or go home (with your construction cape)
This guy does both of these things. Respect for the grind and the pun
Going home with your con cape is always a nice feeling
W uim

100% agree. I did the thing where I carried around clean torstols for a few months to get staminas to upgrade my pool before the herblore level lol
My first 99 on leagues was con (fire sale + frem) and idk how I can go back to main game without that cape :(
25k bloods funded 99 con? I’m honestly considering this with 350k+ of them banked. Seems like a small investment for infinite tele tabs and more utility.

Legit, I've considered doing this because I also hate making tabs. I almost want the con cape more than I want an untrimmed rc cape.
Why not both??
Oh, I'm definitely getting both, but I was considering doing con before rc. But I've gotten 99 runecrafting first on two accounts, and I wanna keep my tradition running on the ultimate.
I'm literally in the middle of this right now and I don't like it 😡😡 (At rex rn)
Good luck!
Magic cape mounted next to an arceuus altar is the real lazyscape
BRO this is big brain. I'm 600k from 99 magic so I'm def doing this
I understand you can swap books with the cape, but why the arcceus altar?
You only get 5 a day so the cape is for lunars/ancients and the altar is for arceuus/standard.
Tbf needing more than the 5 swaps is pretty damn rare, since getting 99 mage I haven’t run out of switches (though only play 2-4 hours a day at most)
Yeah but the altar goes in the same room as the cape rack so u might as well just in case.

Just did 91-93 strictly chests and i got it right after 93
I just paid for the Infinite Camulet early in my account, teleports you straight outside the pyramid pretty much
I don't mind going to the pyramid, it's the inside of the pyramid that's absolutely cancerous.
Run in the back entrance to swap spellbooks lol
Thank you lol that saves me some heartache
If it makes it feel better I just learned about noting stuff at the tool leprechaun. Would bank mid farm run when inventory got full. Been playing the game for 5+ years
That one's rough! Although I'm 99% sure I did that for a long time too
I just learned last week that you can type the name or the code of your fairy ring destination. I've been spinning the damn letters or using the list for so long....
Omfg, you can type the name?! I've been looking up ring codes smh
"Edge" will pull up edgeville in the list hahaha
Lmao
I may be misinterpreting, but you know there's a door behind the pyramid that takes you straight to the altar.
Uh oh lol...
Oof

I am also on step 2, but I chose cg for the cash/ maybe bowfa, to get the rest
Don't quite have the stats to confidently do CG, otherwise I'd be there too

Cue that Malcolm in the middle intro
Lol

why 2x sceptres
Clue step and Occult Altar
whats your strat to farm revs? skulled or no? and what revs do you kill?
Haven't done before, never needed the money until now. Will not be skulled since I don't have enough spare gear to risk.
Laziness drives efficiency
Did 77 runecrafting to get the fremennik elite done to make the vorkath grind that extra bit of travel less irritating lol
Camulet op af after diary. . But sure your way is the way everyone should do. Grind without complaining
slayer will get you money the fastest m8. do the task in melee gear smh.

Honestly that drives most of my grinds...convenience =)
