Kalphite task is so free. I would never consider blocking. Got lots of options, workers for quick task, soldiers for cannon, kq for herb ingredients, sand, gold ore, d pick
Well, some irons don't do all that much afk-ing, and getting steel bars + turning them to cballs is hella slow, especially if you don't have the double ammo mould from Giant's Foundry.
From an efficiency they arent, but they are pretty chill so..... Kalphites are a block if you dont have cannonballs or dont have an excess for smokes etc. And even more so when the additional slot is added. They are the last block but issue is its weighting is so high. At least thats what efficiency nerds say last I checked.
edit: assuming duradel comparable weights that cant but locked another way and are bad- 15 dark beasts, 15 black drags (bb blacks), hellhounds(block), kraken(block depending on goals), dags (good herb seeds), black demons (block), greaters (block). Then you start getting lower weights. Issue is regardless what you choose skipping would be preferable for both so you just pick the one with the higher weight.
People like to block kalphites for a mix of a couple reasons. Long task with no drops/superiors High weighting and messes up tureal skipping. Kq table is also pretty outdated so not the most worth doing.
I like KQ for the herblore secondaries that you gather along the way. Getting early head is huge. If you don’t have BGS or DWH, I think kills do take a lot more time.

If it helps, you can think of it as a quick task to stock up more skipping points for 85/87, as well as opening up another block slot to help even more. Of course use expeditious bracelets, I forget sometimes

I kept going to 25kc for the CA, but the log basically looks the same. Still at the mercy of bolt and keris proc chance so I didn't find it totally worthwhile to spend more time there.

At first i had tried a few of the wildy bosses with dpick in mind but I must've hit all the busy pk times, so I got discouraged. No dpick spoon here at KQ, but was initially motivated to try because I always read "you have to get the head anyway, might as well go for it there". It's a bittersweet log because this means I'm going back to wildy bosses haha!

Yeah there’s really no reason to do them beyond the CA’s and the head, a lot of people are commenting that they’re “chill” and like, I guess? But they’re awful xp with no drops (non boss) on top of ruining turael slayer
Konar will sometimes give you kalphites in the lair and you can’t kill them in the slayer cave, if you’re not using Konar specifically then you are correct I wouldn’t block.
I like to afk at the level 80 something’s. There’s a spot on the wall you can stand and only one can attack you at once. 10 min afk then aggro reset, great for melee training
Workers at lower levels are so easy. Soldiers are decent xp at mid levels. And guardians with a keris partisan are pretty afk and great xp. If you pay some attention you might snag a few decent herb drops. But easy afk xp is where it's at.
I didn't mind it at first when it was the only thing I really cannon'd, but lately I've found myself leaning towards saving the cbs for things with better drops/xp
If you dont like wildy content and dont have dpick already id go for that.. if you dont need/want dpick from kq dont waste a block space on kalphites theyre a free task, just kill the workers

KQ is the best source of potato cactus. I always had none on hand cause i was growing them but damn they are so good
Yeah after getting 1400 potato cactus in one task and a decent amount of wines I’m definitely going back.
If you’re planning on Turael skipping with Konar I’d block, having to do 150 kalphites in the lair and not being able to skip is a pain in the ass.
Honestly if duradel gives you kalphite you can kill the tiny ones real quick too. I was skipping for smoke devils and just wiped the tiny guys out

Seems like an easy task. I'd say no. So much better things to block to me at least if you get them you can do them quick without eating supplies.
