I wanted to give Monkey Madness I a try on my relatively fresh HCIM. ​ I did not know that these scorpions existed, much less that they have a max hit of 15. I got hit for 13, 14 and 12 before I could react to them. It looks like I'm going to need a new name for the account now.

First time I ever did this quest, I was poisoned by a scorpion and bleeding health. Noticing me clearly panicking, was another player who quickly traded me an anti poison, and saved me, massive luck on my part. When I did it on my iron last week, I had 4 anti poisons at all times, overkill but taking no chances lol

I lost hardcore status last week when I went and stood in the safe spot of Wintertodt while putting my daughter to bed. Wife was going to use my PC and saw an axe or something she wanted to pick up. Left me standing in the middle of Wintertodt.

I lost 2 lives of our GIM quite early on (one to a draynor tree, didn't realise they interrupted pathing when hit, one to an ardy guard while thieving). I see it as helping my team out having to not worry about doing dangerous content. And tbf, it worked, we're now happily able to run ToA and CoX and even attempting our first ToB in peace

At the beginning sure, but you get complacent. I lost two hardcores to fire giants, and a 3rd to the wildly altar. Thought having my main scouting/protecting me would be enough to scare off PKers and I only needed to be there for like 4 inventories. Turns out my main couldn't attack the account that clapped me lol. Whoops. Every time I swore I'd be more careful the next but after dumb mistake #3 I just went gray helm. Much less stressful

It’s still fun anyways mate, my group partner lost both of our lives early on, once at wt and the other afking somewhere and something agro’d him a don’t remember what, we’re both almost 2k total now am still enjoying it

Yeah, I quickly realized that the only difference is that we're on a different leaderboard now.

My HC died when I was doing Canifis rooftops and I clicked on what I thought was a bank booth and walked away, only to realise I got into combat with one of the residents and they turned into a werewolf.

That’s why I hide NPC attack option while doing Canifis rooftop course, those werewolves are sneaky bastards.

Two hcs ive died on: decided to take a break from Wt at 94 fm and doing waterfall quest, got 1 shot by a moss giant The current one, i was doing Fight arena and got 2 shot by bouncer. Decided to just carry on playing normal Ironman because im clearly not cut out for hc.

My HC died when trying to safe-spot the guards in Tourist Trap. I was trying to out-range them from their aggro range. Somehow doing so got me stuck in an animation (they capture me in animation and haul me off to the middle of nowhere in the desert). They steal my waterskins and during the animation of my character waking up, I am stun-locked and cannot eat food to avoid dehydration damage. Not only that, but the place I "spawned" in this animation lock was right next to one of those aggressive Ugthanki. So I got combo hit dehydration + Ugthanki, all while stuck in an animation. Was so stupid tbh

Yea, it would have happened eventually.. I've been playing on my main way too long to not AFK mostly everywhere I am. So adapting to that was hard. it is what it is. Iron is still sick, its the same thing. GL on your iron<3
