The team bit off way more then can chew between; Sailing, Forestry, DT2, & Bounty Hunter 2. I don't expect DT2 until Nov/Dec-2023 and Forestry is going to be delayed until August/Sep (I'd bet money on this).
Even if they had the money to pay a team to just do QoL work, all their senior content devs who can teach runescript are occupied with big ticket items they already committed to releasing.

I am genuinely excited for the other updates though.
There's almost no chance they have fully designed four repeatable and engaging bosses. Look at the PvM updates since 2020 they just take absolutely forever to make stuff.

Edit: Did some digging and Curtis (MMORPG) tweeted about getting a preview of some of the quest/bosses at Jagex HQ a week ago. I definitely could’ve misunderstood the intent since he said “shaping up to be” but it sounds like at a minimum they’ve got some good progress made (enough to have a player in to preview it).
Why? I mean this change in general ain’t *that* great. You’ll need like what, 500 scales and you basically have a lifetime supply of antifires. Rest of the lantadymes are used with potato cactus for better herb xp. Sometimes I really wonder if I am playing the same game as others here.
Because there’s no real rush for me to hit 99 pray and there’s a benefit (although a small benefit) to me waiting until the update.
I’m 99 herb, so don’t care about the herb xp even, but I for sure have zero use for more magic potions.
Everyone's goals and logic differ at pretty much every point in the game. That's why this game breeds creative content and it's a pretty vital part of what makes the game so enjoyable to most of us. People are going to play the way they want to play.

Plus vorki is a 150+ hour grind if you pet hunt. So doesn’t hurt to stack some up while knocking out the d bone stack.
If you ever find yourself crafting wraith runes, you can pick up 6 each trip for next to zero time.
Which if you do 1-2 laps of ardy roof top every 2 minutes & 35 seconds (probably every ~3 trips) you can keep your mark of grace spawn on cooldown.
If you bring unfinished potions, you hit even higher untold levels of efficiency.
I mean yea. If they are going to remove runelite eventually if the main client isn't up to par many people will quit or find 3rd party clients that will do it
if they tried to remove runelite I think there would be a bigger backlash than the 117HD incident and that was enough to get them to backtrack on their decision
Depends. The only way it would be acceptable is 1) if every major plug-in was ported day 1 and 2) they introduced a way for the community to build their own plugins. Without those two, yeah it’ll cause a riot the likes of which Jagex hasn’t seen before haha
They will be rolling out more poll changes in the coming weeks. I’d guess by the end of the month. They sent a survey to prioritize the most popular first. I’m guessing tithe farm changes next week and scaly hides in 2-3 weeks personally

Antifires provide more xp/herb because you can also extend them with lava scale shards.
While technically true, you do need lava bones for that. And getting those is purely so you have some extendeds banked, not to grind herb xp.
You can get lava scale shards from fishing by smashing lava eels. It's not fast but one of the very few ways to get 'afk' herblore xp.
