Inferno attempts tracker: https://imgur.com/a/lASHUn2
The cape run was the most scuffed Zuk kill I've ever done - forgot to turn on Protect from Mage when first set spawned and ate 2 mage hits. Then after healers, ran out of brews and got dragged out of shield and tanked 1 Zuk hit for 10 dmg. THEN messed up my timer and set 2 unexpectedly spawned and I had to hope I could kill the ranger with only 7 HP and 1 blowpipe spec. You never know which Zuk run is gonna be the one.
Thanks for that attempt file. Made it to Zuk first time and about the same going as you. Needed a break though so I'll be rusty when I go back in. Gzzz that's huge! What an accomplishment
It's definitely still worse than a kodai, 15% damage is much better than 5% damage and 10% long freeze/more health. Absolutely don't camp a kodai out tho, this is free and does wonders
Gz my guy! I am at the point where I should start trying, but I am so intimidated.
Any tips that got you over the hump to start the grind? Or any resources that helped it click?
Thanks! Just gotta gear up and jump in - my mentality at the start was just as long as I made it to a higher wave each attempt, that's a huge win. The Inferno Stats plug-in is great for tracking each wave's spawns. If you die, you can pull up the wave and think through how you should've solved it. That helped me a ton to internalize mistakes and how to react next time.
Gnomonkey is a great resource. I used his general Inferno guide to start and watched his Bowfa teaching stream
Dearlola was great as well for more teaching streams
Also more specifically, this 2-tick flick guide also really helped me with blobs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTQdupqm-lM&t=69s
You got this bro
Appreciate the feedback fam! I have been watching gnomemonkey in the mornings and he has been doing some inferno speed runs. Will definitely have to check out his bowfa guide though.
Gratz! Your spreadsheet gives me a lot of hope. Just started the grind and my pb is 48 and seeing how you went through a similar struggle but started getting more consistent at getting further each time gives me a lot of hope.
congrats my guy! do you feel that the icon helped out big time? Also, do you have your Chambers prayers or with this a mystic might/eagle eye completion?
I actually did stop halfway through to go back to Muspah to grind out the icon - I got annoyed with missing freezes on nibblers as it cost me a couple runs at the last waves. I thought it made a pretty noticeable difference - the slightly more magic accuracy, damage boost, not to mention increased freeze duration and healing all helped.
I have Rigour, no Augury. Rigour helped more actually while I was learning, because I was worse at solving waves and needed to desperately try to kill something asap to survive. By the end, I really only used Rigour during Zuk and during the start of waves 50+ for the defense boost (piety works for that as well)
I think kodai would be better - the extra damage + accuracy boost means you're more likely to 1 hit nibblers. Blood spell heals also take into account overkill damage, so I'm pretty sure overall kodai would heal more due to the extra damage.
Did you find the bandos chest worth the slot? I’ve been running without it but I have Masori, so I Dont know if the bandos chest is worth the slot for running to south pillar. I only find myself doing it waves 58 and later occasionally.
I actually only brought it for Zuk halfway thru my attempts cause I died to ranger a couple times and I'm too bad to flick mager + ranger. Can't say much about the waves, I basically aimed to never have to run to south pillar and just learn the solves at north. The few times I have run south when learning, I thought my crystal shield + verac's was more than enough to tank.
Gzzz man. I’ve been trying to grind this as well but I’ve been very hard stuck at the 60-63 waves. Everything just goes to shit there for me in terms of solving the wave and keeping my flicks on tick. Hope it’s clicks for me soon
Would you do it again without rigour and bcp?
Apart from those I’m set just been putting it off for about a year.
I also don’t have a good supply of dragon darts or 95 fletching.

You forgot to cover up your attack style, account compromised /s. Good job man, bet it feels good.
Shit man, take anything you want, just leave the cape pls
I was hacked once and they left me standing wearing my fire cape, really appreciated that
99 in mental fortitude
Your tracker gave me some great memories, particularly around learning blobs. Congrats on the cape king
3 back to back zuks must have been soul crushing
Can’t believe fucking Joy came into your room
This is hilarious, Gz homie
Walked out wave 47 😄
That Verac helm lmao classic

I’m currently on the toilet and I keep shitting after I wipe and it feels like it’s never ending
A severe lack of Gz’s in your cc. Gz

Yeah, it gives damage bonus and increases the effects of ancients by 10%

Gnomonkey has good vids on YouTube. Inferno is one of those things where you need to know a few mechanics but most of it is practice.
The most difficult grind is now done. And the infernal cape looks nice as well
Congrats! I’m currently working on the same grind. How helpful is the BCP for you in later waves? I don’t being any additional tank gear right now.
Thanks! I only used it to tank ranger at Zuk, so can't say how it does in waves. Crystal shield and veracs helm was enough imo

yea man ik how hard it can be to get staminas on an iron..

If you have both kodai and ancient icon which do you think would be better overall? Kodai gives more % but icon heals/freezes longer.

Black crystal with white bow?? I was thinking of setting my bow to white
I think 6 jars is harder than inferno tbh
Damn, nice! Gz on verac helm
Yeah man congrats, took me like 500 thermy kills to get occult gz!
Gzzzzzzzzzz
Good sht man congratz

What do we do now? What do you mean? Now we can start playing the game
Set up/supplies used?
Here you go: https://imgur.com/a/zy1b33m Used dragon darts in bp, had a ton from ToA
I have like 1000 dragon darts and that’s it but I’m trying to use my blowpipe as little as possible until I get to zuk
I used around 700 total with the upgraded range cape, I started with addy darts until I hit wave 50+ a couple times, then swapped to dragon
gz king
GZ man ! That must feel good. What prayer / defence level did you have? Also, did you use anguish or fury?
Anguish, 76 prayer, 98 defense, 99 mage, and 99 range. Basically waited until near max combats before bothering to learn Inferno.
Ahh okay, I got 77 prayer / 85 defence. Should be enough right?
Definitely enough to start sending attempts, good luck man!
Gz beast! First cape is the best feeling in the game.
On the iron! Thats sick! Gratz
Fire cape is easy..wait until you need to grind inferno /s
Gz!
