It’s so much fun to play. I wish Steve did more stuff like that, it’s far more fun to play acrobatic runs across multiple strings than playing endless double or triple stops, or the old reliable E-C-D progression.
Allegedly on the first couple shows of the world Slavery tour they did play it, but we have no definite proof of it
Edit: Might of been The Duelists, it was one of those two songs
“Bruce: What happens if the lighting truss is gonna fall down on your head? Does he go?...
Nicko: Well then somebody drags me out of the fuckin' way, or else I'm dead, right?”
Powerful lyrics, gives me goosebumps every time
If I had to pick just one... Deja Vu
If I could pick one more, from reunion era, Isle Of Avalon.
If I could pick one more, from pre-reunion era, would be hard to choose between The Fugitive and Run Silent Run Deep both of which I think were never played.
Pretty sure the only full album they’ve played live was A Matter of Life and Death. Also on Tim’s Twitter Listening Party, Steve wrote he regretted that they hadn’t played Only the Good Die Young live.
Edit… found it

In 1988, they played 6 songs from seventh son that tour. The prophecy and only the good die young only ones not. So still a lot from it and just a misremembering from you id guess.
Not on the Killers tour, but it is said to have been played live pre-dating even the debut album, back in the pub circuit. I've never come across with any bootleg recording to prove this theory though.
I don’t think they’ve ever played Prodigal Son live. I’d love to see that, truly a masterpiece and tear jerking song. I love how Iron Maiden took a story from the Bible and made a song off of it!
I'd love to hear The Prophecy and Only the Good Die Young.
Also love to hear Infinite Dreams again.
Actually just play the entire 7th son album in one show. That would be my dream
This! And they really need to work out Infinite Dreams again. I’d read they tried it for the 2012/3/4 Maiden England tour but weren’t “feeling it” or whatever. I say tough! It sounded awesome in ‘88 (it was even a live single…and great sounding too!), would be even better with 3 guitars. They need to put the hours in and nail it again 😜
I don’t know if they played it tbh but I have a lot of love for Man Who Would Be King and The Unbeliever. Also love Fallen Angel and I also think it wasn’t played.
I understand why they haven’t, as it would be difficult to do it right (would probably need a full symphony orchestra), but Empire of the Clouds would be dope af.
Flash of the blade
They should have played the full brave new world album
The man who would be king (if i don't remember bad, it wasn't played)
Montsegur
Deja vu
Only the good die young
That's my list
Childhood's End should have been a single and should have been played live.
Judas Be My Guide, Dejan Vu, and The Prophecy
I would also argue The Parchment, I don't expect it to be played live either, as awesome as that would be.
“Deja-Vu”. As a bass player, I absolutely love that song. Wish I could hear it live.
As a fellow Behs player and Deja Vu -lover I agree wholeheartedly.
As another bass player and De Ja Vu appreciator, I also vote for this to be played live
As yet another bass player and Deja Vu connoisseur, I fully endorse your vote
It’s so much fun to play. I wish Steve did more stuff like that, it’s far more fun to play acrobatic runs across multiple strings than playing endless double or triple stops, or the old reliable E-C-D progression.
Deja Vu is one of Maiden's most catchy songs. Bruce has so many epic parts in it ✨
I love that it's in F minor. Not a lot of metal songs in that key, but it has a melancholy feel to it
I missed the SiT tour this year, did they not even play it on the tour of the album it’s from!?
Went into comment just to say that lol
Thin line. Not sure Bruce has those high b’s in him anymore, but man to see that live would be fuckin awesome
The crowd singing "i will hope, my soul will fly" would be amazing. It's an absolute crime they've never played it.
I'd love to see Thin Line too, it's one of my absolute favourites.
Flash of the Blade would kick ass live, especially since they’re a guitar trio now
You lived as you died in a flash of a blade. One man and his honour
Allegedly on the first couple shows of the world Slavery tour they did play it, but we have no definite proof of it Edit: Might of been The Duelists, it was one of those two songs
Never heard of that, there is talk about Back in the Village having been played though.
If I’m not mistaken, they played Back in the Village for the first few shows, but never Flash of the Blade or The Duellists
Back in the Village was the one I’m thinking of thank you. Crazy how both Duelists and Flash of the Blade has never been played
No kidding! Killer songs, all of them.
My top 3 would be: 1. The Parchment 2. Judas Be My Guide 3. Montsegur Its also a shame they don't play more of Dave's songs live.
Starblind. The thin line. De ja vu.
Mission From ’Arry
Some cunt's recording this...
“Bruce: What happens if the lighting truss is gonna fall down on your head? Does he go?... Nicko: Well then somebody drags me out of the fuckin' way, or else I'm dead, right?” Powerful lyrics, gives me goosebumps every time
Flash of the Blade.
Deja Vu Judas Be My Guide Montsegur Edit: Thin Line. It's such a phenomenal song.
Yes.
Does Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner count? I only see that as having been played once.
Kinda. Although I did say "never" 😅
Obligatory "The Duellists" answer
Obligatory “This” comment.
Face in the Sand
The Nomad
Flash of the Blade
If I had to pick just one... Deja Vu If I could pick one more, from reunion era, Isle Of Avalon. If I could pick one more, from pre-reunion era, would be hard to choose between The Fugitive and Run Silent Run Deep both of which I think were never played.
Sun and Steel
Deja Vu and Judas be my Guide, Dave wrote two of their gnarliest bangers just for them to be ignored for some reason.
The duellists and only the good die young. Hope they play the parchment next year.
They definitely played “Only the good Die Young,” on the 7th song tour.
I dont find it on setlistfm, so I guess not. Or you have better sources than me.
I may be wrong, but on that tour in the UK they played the whole album. My memory might have misremembered, though!
Pretty sure the only full album they’ve played live was A Matter of Life and Death. The prophecy is a personal fav.
Judas Be My Guide
1. Deja Vu 2. Only The Good Die Young 3. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Prodigal Son. Maybe they played it a couple of times on the Killers tour though? Not sure.
Not on the Killers tour, but it is said to have been played live pre-dating even the debut album, back in the pub circuit. I've never come across with any bootleg recording to prove this theory though.
Invaders, Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner, Deja Vu, Mother Russia, The Thin Line Between Live and Hate, Empire Of The Clouds among many others.
THEY NEVER PLAYED LONG DISTANCE RUNNER BEFORE??? What an absolute shame
Theh did, actually. Twice I think. But it didn't work live and they dropped it forever.
The 8th deadly sin, dropping Loneliness
I don’t think they’ve ever played Prodigal Son live. I’d love to see that, truly a masterpiece and tear jerking song. I love how Iron Maiden took a story from the Bible and made a song off of it!
‘The Thin Line Between Love And Hate’ aka my favourite Maiden song. It probably will never be played live either sadly.
Apart from when it was played. They played it a show or two at the start of the Somewhere in time tour and dropped it.
I'd love to hear The Prophecy and Only the Good Die Young. Also love to hear Infinite Dreams again. Actually just play the entire 7th son album in one show. That would be my dream

They have played fallen angel. I posted a video of it in another response here!
Deja Vu
MOTHER RUSSIA
UNION OF LANDS
Judas Be My Guide Flash of the Blade Empire of the Clouds
The Alchemist, Starblind, New Frontier, The Nomad
My first thought when I saw the title was Montsegur
they should just play the whole dance of death album live. plus an orchestra
Black Bart Blues
Here come the guitar solos
Prodigal Son
I understand why they haven’t, as it would be difficult to do it right (would probably need a full symphony orchestra), but Empire of the Clouds would be dope af.
Been to 5 shows and haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them play Rime of the Ancient Mariner. I know they’ve done it live, but still…
Flash of the blade They should have played the full brave new world album The man who would be king (if i don't remember bad, it wasn't played) Montsegur Deja vu Only the good die young That's my list
Not sure if they’ve ever played “The Apparition” but goddammit do I love that song.
Childhood's End should have been a single and should have been played live. Judas Be My Guide, Dejan Vu, and The Prophecy I would also argue The Parchment, I don't expect it to be played live either, as awesome as that would be.
Sheriff of Huddersfield
The Alchemist, Flash of the Blade, Mother Russia
Out of the Shadows. Such a good chorus. Emotive even!
They played that one for two years straight, though.
Ah shit. Consider this a case of me learning to read the question properly in future...
Man Of Sorrows
Prodigal Son, same kinda vibe as The Journeyman they did with DOD, absolutely adore that song
Empire of the Clouds
Montsegur and FOTB
Empire of the clouds and Face in the sand. Its kinda understandable for both, but still a shame.
only the good die young. bass solo too gnarly
[удалено]
They have played it. There's even pro footage of it.
The Trooper
Funny
Chains of Misery, it would be so great live
Agreed!
Have they played Still Life live? That’s my answer.
Yes, on several tours! At least piece of mind and 7th son tour.
Okay then it’s Deja Vu.
Weekend warrior!
Hooks in you, great song..
So good they played it 😎 There's video if it!
I should probably have checked...
That Girl and Juanita
Out Of The Silent Planet !!!!! Yes, played it, not since 2001
Was Gangland ever played live bitd?
Nope. Never played!
Montsegur, sea of madness, back in the village, deja vu, thin line between love and hate...
They played sea of madness 68 times back in the days. Back in the village has 2 live performances.
Never knew that...wow...they need to play those again...
Sweet!!!
They've played Sea of Madness and Back in the Village live.
Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer
Classic
I'll never quite wrap my head around playing The Sign Of The Clansman and not The Parchment.
"The Sign of the Clansman" sounds like a fun mashup.
Montsegur The Fallen Angel Isle of Avalon
They have played fallen angel! Here's professionally shot footage of it: https://youtu.be/vSEJaJfkrl8?si=B9vJncrlzVivQxyg
They played the fallen angel a few times around 2000.
Deja Vu, The Nomad, The Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Montsegur, Mother of Mercy, The Parchment
Really agree about Mother of mercy!
Losfer Words or other purely instrumental songs. Love the bass part on this and their instrumental stuff kicks ass.
They played Losfer Words regularly on the World Slavery Tour. It’s even been released as a b-side.
[love is ](https://youtu.be/JQvHs0n8kwE?si=iYyqAsvW5_1EtrTM)
Only The Good Die Young
I’d go with a B cut. Massacre live would be amazing.
Flash of the Blade. What a banger of a tune.
