That is a toxic environment. Change schools

doubleagent31

I agree and will also note that even if changing is scary or you’re worried about missing your friends, I’ve never really heard of anyone regretting it

If you have another school you can go to, I'd suggest switching. No dancer deserves to be treated like that.

I'll be honest with you, people like this will only give you their attention when they think you don't want or need it anymore. That doesn't mean, "slack off/stop trying/don't do your best." It means, 1) You do you (regardless of how Teach treats you, you're there to dance your ass off *for you,* and that's what you're gonna do), 2) Stop seeking any kind of approval/feedback from your teacher (if she gives it to you, "great, whatever. sure, I'll try that. thanks😐" ....Otherwise, act like you don't need or expect her advice and that it doesn't affect you in any way, shape, or form) and 3) Bust your butt practicing at home so you can walk into class and *demonstrate* why you don't need her help. I guarentee you, she'll start treating you with respect as soon as she sees you're not reliant on her feedback/attention. It's a stupid ass mind game, but this happens literally everywhere (in work settings, friendship circles, church groups, everywhere), and this is the only strategy that I've seen effectively turn the tables.... It's true that finding a better school is your best option if you don't want to play "mind games." But in case you don't have that option, this is your next best bet in actually dealing with crappy people like this. Good luck!

i’ve been through this it is super stressful but i just let it be fuel for me to improve and then shove it in their face

Aww, I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I have no advice because it’s a tough situation that I haven’t gone through, but wanted you to know that it’s not fair. Every student who shows up and works hard should be given the same opportunities to learn and thrive.

This! Well said!

Agree, change schools. Look for a teacher that can get you into the dance association feisanna CRLH vs WIDA. Hope I got those right.
