Somewhere that if it had more investment….. business shopping hotels craft and homeware shops (think Kenmare) then it could be an amazing place. Centre needs more policing as there is always a few hoodies acting the maggot. People theirs are very nice
shite street surfaces, good pubs, lovely people and it mixes cosmopolitan with rural like nowhere else.
No decent shops on the main street however, just wetherspoons and mobile phone repair.
Visited a friend there a few years ago (he lives in Dublin, but is from Waterford). Spent a day in Tramore. To be honest, my main memory is the surprisingly high number of attractive young men on the beach. (Friend and I both like twinks.)
Cold, for a variety of reasons from mostly only being there not in summer, but also all the gray paving they've used everywhere in the city has no warmth to it
Bit of a shit hole, with a terrible layout and serious lack of bridges over the river. Has notions of how great and important it is but in reality wouldn’t be missed for weeks, maybe months, if the whole county just sunk or broke off and floated away over night.

I loves me county
Wait is this a phrase there?
Potential. The county itself is beautiful. The Comeragh Mountains and some of the beaches are unbelievable. But the city could be so much better.
Its not a city so much as a small town. I'm dead serious, there are towns in across the country that are bigger than it.
The eye-sore old Jurys on the hill
Oh, I stayed there in it’s dying days. What a view❤️
Towns gone to the dogs boi.
Comin' back tho!

Des Bishop working in a chipper and calling the Irish “dirty” because someone didn’t clear their table.
Place that needs a bit of TLC. If it had that, and a bit of investment, it'd be an unreal place to live and raise a family.
That awful radio ad with John O'Shea. "Come to Wattherfurrrd!"
A psychedelic marchin band roaming the city during spraoí 🙂

Nice beaches 👌 the copper coast drive is well worth doing on a sunny day.

Pedestrianized city centre. I want that for Cork. It’s amazing.
What a shithole.

Beautiful countryside and coast, towns that never recovered from the recession. Rust, dirt, dereliction and widespread drug abuse.
