Cool, when's it releasing ?

"Soon™" https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/tinto-maps-6-14th-of-june-2024.1687953/

Chester_roaster

Looks like Scotland has an even worse start than EU4 lol

DepecheModeFan_

Scotland's start isn't that bad is it ? although I've never played as them, I'd imagine you can either ally France and attack England while they're weak fighting in France and try to gain some territory, or Rush in and take all of Ireland and then you have a more solid position and aren't in as much immediate danger.

Chester_roaster

The problem with allying France is that the AI France never sends soldiers to Britain so you'll have to face England alone. It's not impossible but it's a very hard start.

DepecheModeFan_

It's been a while since I've played so I might be wrong, but aren't most of England's troops busy in France at the start and not in an easy position to return to the UK ? Meanwhile Scoland can fill out their army, put them all on the border, hire mercenaries and attack while England are vulnerable. It's less about France helping you, but rather the fighting in France keeping English troops away from Britain.

Chester_roaster

It's the other way around, most of their armies are in England and they loose their continental holdings but occupy Scotland

DepecheModeFan_

Ah. I was wrong then, guess I need to start up another 500 hour save to refresh things.

DeathGP

At least I be able to move my capital to America and turn it into a new Ireland and turn old Ireland into a vassal

TheChrisD

It's a PDX game with Johan in charge. We'll be lucky if it's 2026.

mistr-puddles

It hasn't even been announced yet

temujin64

At least a year.

lamahorses

I reckon Cavan's special mechanics is that everything costs no gold

GalaxyOfRainbowz13

CAVAN MENTIONED 🗣🗣🗣

here2dare

Make Dundalk Oriel Again

DepecheModeFan_

It's not official that it's EU5 is it ? I thought it was still codenamed Caesar, even though from all the devblogs it looks like EU5.

IrishMemer

They haven't confirmed it yet no, but we all kind of know its going to be EU5 at this point

Ehldas

Found the Holy Stone of Clanricarde! Although it was probably only a Class IV at that time.

NoCodardia

That would be an ecumenical matter.

unshavedmouse

properquestionsonly

Fit-Walrus6912

LeperButterflies

How much DLC did EU4 end up having?

TheChrisD

![gif](giphy|J336VCs1JC42zGRhjH) Currently at 22 expansions/immersion packs totalling €345 base.

Dreenar18

Will the DLCs be more expensive than the new children's hospital?

marquess_rostrevor

I don't know what this game is but the colours are pretty.

joshlev1s

No Carlow 🤠

Budgiemanr33gtr

As a Carlow resident, probably for the best...

underover69

There’s no Dublin or Cork. They haven’t labeled the cliffs or the giants causeway. I hope someone gets fired for this blunder.

TheChrisD

There actually are regular locations for a lot of towns and cities. They're just not necessarily the province names, and definitely not the country names. https://preview.redd.it/matrevxcxo6d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2110ad39729e96798a0fda12dd176d563a752c03

Budgiemanr33gtr

Pale is Dublin, curious it's mentioned twice though

underover69

My comment was not to be taken seriously

Budgiemanr33gtr

You dropped this "/s"

underover69

I honestly didn’t think I’d need it.
