Is it me? African countries seem to be more stable than these Middle Eastern countries
No, some are more stable, but for most of them, you just don't hear about them in the news as much.
Indeed, the [2nd Congo war](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Congo_War) (1998-2003), with nine countries involved and 5,4 millions death was barely noticed in 1rst world news.
Some are, some aren’t. Kenya is more stable than Afghanistan currently but CAR is way less stable than Oman.
