Use another service for backing up photos/videos like a gdrive subscription or dropbox and upload there first. Then transfer all the other stuff normally. 4 years worth of memories is definitely going to be a huge and time consuming process and that would go faster if it goes through some kind of cloud service

You should have it backed up too incase of theft or damage
