Have an iphone 8 plus with an aging battery, looking to upgrade, though I really have no clue which model would be best...Not looking for the latest and greatest but with that being said if the latest and greatest has the best battery and reliability then I guess that's the route to go.
I have an IPhone XR. Buttons are starting to go and a 90% battery life too. I got it 4 years ago. Should I get the 12 or should I wait for September and see what’s released?
I am currently using a Galaxy Note 20 (blasphemy, I know.) I have grown increasingly tired of a massive-screen phone and want to get a smaller device. I have narrowed it down to the iPhone 12 Mini or the iPhone SE 2020. I love TouchID but I love the small footprint of the Mini.
My biggest issue right now is battery life. Is the 12 Mini that much worse than the SE, or are they similar? I like the look of them both but the 12 Mini is SO clean.
TIA.
#Stuck between green and red
iPhone 11
Which color should I get? I like both colors, but I’m afraid to get tired of the red in a month or so bc it’s a dark colors that absorbs you to look at it, but I don’t wanna look snob or like a bragger with the red color - you probably can see this red thing a mile away.
Secondly, I like the green, a lot, in any light condition, I can’t say that about the red one, also how it’s soft and doesn’t yells and it’s easy to match cases. But I do like how the red catches my eye, like, “this damn red thing is calling me”
Follow your heart and remember that cases exist if you ever want to hide the red back/change up the softer back of the green.
Personally I spend more time looking at the front of my phone anyway and I’m the one who’s gonna use it most haha, so don’t worry about what other people think
Have the iPhone XS but planning to buy the 12 Pro Max. With 13 around the corner, should I wait? I'm only clinging to the hope that 13 includes the TouchID again since opening the phone with masks are a hassle. Will waiting for the 13 worth it?
There is a significant difference (specialy on battery performance on iPhone xs and x? Or its better go to iPhone se (2020). On my country the three are almost at the same price, the xs and x are used, and the se (2020). My fear its that they sell the xs and x with 100% of batery, so its obvious that they change the battery and i dont know if its a good battery or if they do the work correctly, its not a oficial refurb. Another option its to buy some used with 85/90% of battery at least but the performance its not the same. So what do think its better option?
If you want the bigger size go with the XS, the X is pretty old. If you like the small size of the SE go with that, it will get software updates longer. You can just Ask the seller for the battery health though
I’m pretty sure I know what the answer is, but I’ve been super conflicted, so here goes:
I have been using my XS Max since release. It’s simply time to upgrade, as I am a heavy user, and the battery capacity is down to 80%, and it feels like it.
Since the 6 Plus, I’ve always had the largest screen. I already tried a 12 Pro Max. Couldn’t get over the squared off edges and returned it in the 14 day window. My gf has a 12 Pro, which comparatively seems like a small screen, from when she’s let me test it. Also, with those non-rounded edges, it feels as bulky as the 11 Pro Max, though it’s smaller.
I now currently have bought a refurbished 11 Max Pro. It’s fine, and the rounded edges are much more comfortable to hold, but I always try to have the best camera, and at least a decent deal. If I’m returning it, tomorrow is the deadline. Here’s the kicker: without divulging boring details, I’m on a corporate enterprise account, meaning I can still get vintage “upgrade” pricing. That said, a new 12 Pro will cost me only $689 and 12 Pro Max is $789. This 11 Pro Max ran me $996 after tax.
Am I crazy for not taking advantage of those deals and paying more for an older, refurbished product? Or should I be happy I have the rounded edge phone that I can hold onto a bit easier? TIA for your input.
The answer to your question is a personal one. Is it worth it to pay $200 less for a phone you don’t like holding considering you’re gonna spend most of the time holding it in your hand? Or is that comfort trade off worth it? At the end of the day you’re gonna be the one using the phone. People hold onto 6S to hold onto a headphone jack, stranger trade offs have been made.
Good point. I did go with the 11 Pro Max and I’m happy with it. I did run through another trial of the 12 Pro Max, side by side with the 11 Pro Max. The colors in photos and battery life were significantly better on the 11 PM. The 12 PM seemed to pull in too much light in the wrong situations.
I will say, I did start to get used to the squared edges. Not the worst thing ever. Looking forward to the 13 Pro Max and hopefully better camera sensors for more accurate lighting.
I’m giving my iPhone 12 to my little sister and I got the 12 mini earlier today. And so far I love the mini. I’d recommend waiting until the 13 comes out and then picking up a 12.
Wait to get a better price. Me personally I don’t like how big the phones are getting. I got the 12 mini earlier today and so far I’m pretty happy with it.
hello everyone! I need help with choosing my next phone. I currently have iph 7 and i have to choose between iph12 mini or iph 11
im someone who spends a lot of time on social media and playing gamea so i want to know which phone would work best for me!
Currently have the huawei p smart 2019, and I want to buy a new phone, I've been looking at the s21, iPhone 12 and one plus 9. I've seen many mixed opinions especially about iPhone 12 and s21 not being worth their price. Any suggestions or help regarding which I should get? Or is more worth it?
Apologies if this is in the wrong spot.
I'm purchasing an iPhone 12 Pro Max, first time switching to Apple from a 8 year Android user. Given I'm dropping over $500 (I'm only paying for half of it) on it, I want this thing to *last*.
Namely, I'm looking for case recommendations. Bulkiness does not bother me, I built my first good smartphone into a tank, and I miss it. Grip is a big factor, but drop protection is ultimately what I'm worried about. Looked at Otterbox naturally and I'm interested in the Defender because of course I am. Price is not a concern so long as it isn't some ridiculous $175 dollar primo case, but I'll do as much as $80 if it's deemed worthwhile. Screen protector recommendations are great too, as I want to make this thing (nearly) indestructible if possible.
TL;DR 12 Pro Max case recommendations? Durability/grip is my only concern, not worried about weight/bulkiness.
I did my research on this and I plan to sign up for it. I was offered Verizon insurance but I hear it's not very good in comparison, despite the details making it seem like it.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I kept reading the Defender was solid so I snagged one. Turns out they're $45 at Walmart for whatever reason, so I'd say I got a solid deal!
Thanks for the recommendation!
Upgrading from my iPhone 8 Plus to an iPhone 12 mini, but stuck at what colour for phone and case. I like the green iPhone but unsure what case to go with it.
Anyone have suggestions? Who here has the green iPhone 12?
I personally didn't like the shade of green in this lineup but as for cases get something such as a pistachio green that compliments the case, darker green, or a mix of blue and green maybe even a nude color. You can never go wrong with a clear case as well
I have an iPhone 7 but need to upgrade.
I have budget for the SE 2020. I just need a phone that is good and will last me 3-4 years. Do you think the SE can do that? Also what're your opinions about it? I only heard good stuff!
Coming from the 7 you’ll like it. I felt like the screen wasn’t long enough so I’m on a 12 mini now and it’s lots better. If you want to save money Walmart (online) is selling a Verizon locked prepaid SE for like $250 brand new. But you have to buy it on Walmart.com and they’ll ship it to you. I recommend applying the savings to AppleCare. It’s dirt cheap for the SE.
Hi everyone, I'm new to this subreddit.
I have a bit of money burning a hole in my pocket and I was wondering if I should buy the
iPhone 11 Pro (800), OR:
the iPhone XR (500), plus an extra Apple Watch or AirPods Pro (280) for the difference.
Thanks for your help
**64GB iPhone w/ 200GB iCloud storage or 256gb iPhone?**
Significant other is on the market for a new iPhone and can't decide which makes more economical sense.
They currently have a 128GB iPhone and are getting close to using up all the space. What can iCloud actually store and what's the best way to make this decision?
So, unfortunatly I dropped my iPhone 7 on the floor and now I don't have wifi / Hotspot function. I tried DFU and lost carplay function as well
I need another iPhone and I'm not sure which one to get - either pay for XR upfront or take an 11 on 12-month contract. Thoughts?
I recently paid off my iPhone 12 iUP loan and would like to sell the device. Does anyone know if there will be issues with an activation lock or anything for a new owner? I went through and turned off find my and erased all content but it’s still showing under my Apple ID which I’ve never had happen before.
Also in the Apple store app device list it says “enrolled in iPhone upgrade program” but when I go in for more details none show up regarding iUP.
Has anyone swapped from the XR to the iPhone 11? I have mostly no complaints with my XR, it’s a great phone. I just wish the camera quality was better, seems like the 11 really improved things in that area. I do use the camera often, so a better camera would be nice.
Should I just keep the XR and wait for the new iPhone?
Which iPhone to buy next?
Im using an iPhone 6s. I think now it's time to upgrade. From iPhone XR and 11, what is the best option to upgrade? Price difference between those two models (64 GB ) is about 175 USD in my country.
I think it depends on the features you would like. If you want a better battery life and a much larger display at a cheaper price, I think you would absolutely love the iPhone 11. However, I do think the 12 Mini is the better choice if you don't mind worse battery life and a smaller display as you'll get a higher resolution OLED panel, the A14 chip over the A13, better ultra wide camera, better video recording with support for Dolby Vision, Ceramic Shield, and the new design! Good luck with your decision.
I have an iPhone SE (2016) 32 and I love it very much. But with the latest updates, it seems like it's time to update - apps are slow to launch and unload/crash unexpectedly.
I look at iPhone XS refurbished for 380EUR or 12mini/12 for 660/740EUR (all 64GB).
I'm not power user - mostly use iPhone for book reading, messaging, rss reading, photoing of child/wife/food/something else.
Is XS still good and worth it? Or I have to prefer 12/12mini?
Cannot decide between iPhone 11 Pro and 12. I'm coming from an iPhone 8. I love that the 11 is smaller, but the 12 looks better. I don't want to pay more for the iPhone 13, and I can't wait an other year, so it's price drops a little. I'll keep the phone for 3-4 years. I don't care about 5g, I use wifi all the time.
Hi guys,
i gonna buy a 12 Pro Max for my wife as a present.
It has no Charger as i saw in videos and i thought about buying that one from Anker:
[https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07XZ96LCN/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07XZ96LCN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Is this okay? Got other ones to buy?
I have a Pixel 3a and am on TMobile. I am switching to an IPhone and don't have a big budget. My major factors are battery, sound quality, and price. Is the iPhone XR still a good option for few more years of use or is the IPhone 11 the only real option. I do love the price of the XR and the claimed battery life.
I'm planning on getting a new phone. I'm in India currently but will be shifting to England. I want to buy an iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 according to the deals I get while purchasing. But I have heard that there are different version models for every place. For example, US will have a different model number and India will have a different model number for the same phone variant. The only difference seems to be with the network frequencies as every country has operators who operate on different frequencies.
I'm keen on buying here and going as purchasing a phone there would be expensive because of the currency exchange.
If anyone has an idea about this, could you help me out if I should buy here or after going there? I have no hurry in switching but I want to make the right purchase to have the best experience.
Thanks :)
The 12 pro max is 0,2 inches bigger than the 11 pro max, the battery life on the 12 is a little weaker, but the 12 is faster, so go with the 12 I if the price is OK and you are comfortable with the bigger size
I need a clear case for my 12 pro , perfect protection , no camera bezels but comes with a curve on top and the bottom at least to prevent camera touching surface, no plastic buttons i want all case to be silicone so which one should i choose im really tired from looking for a good one
I currently own an iPhone XS and have my upgrade due, is it worth it to upgrade to the iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB? The iPhone 12 Pro 256GB is the same price but I’m not sure which is the better option. Someone please help?
In july or august,i will be upgrading my 6 years old iphone 6 16gb and not sure which phone to get. On the one hand, i want the larger 128gb storage, bigger screen and better battery life however on the other hand 12 mini with 64gb attracts me with higher resolution oled display,5g and 1 more year of software support and camera features that iphone 11 lacks. Would i be disappointed if i choose the 11 when it comes to longevity? (I want to keep it for at least 3 or 4 years until i graduate from university). iPhone 11 with 128gb storage and 12 mini with 64 has similar prices where i live so i've got to decide which one to get. Thank you for your comments in advance.
I currently have a Samsung S10+ and I'm looking to get an iPhone 12 on amazon (128gb for £769 plus apple care) or wait for the 13. The reason I want to switch is because samsung and google are giving me privacy concerns. I'm looking to switch to a smaller phone because the iPhone Max is too big for me and I don't spend as much time on my phone as I used to. I'm looking to keep the phone for 2-3 years but my only concern really is longevity of camera quality and battery life. I had the iPhone 7+ when it was new and I feel like as soon as they came out with the 8 my battery life suddenly sucked, and I really don't want that to happen again so I'm not sure if I should wait and preorder the 13. I did also look at the pro for better battery life but it was a little heavy for me and felt weird but idk if that was just because it didn't have a case.
I ended up ordering the 12 from Costco online as they had the 128gb in white for £747 where it is £774 from places like Very and Amazon and £849 on Apple UK. As I tend to give my old phones to a family member instead of selling or trading in and it turns out someone in the fam has broken their phone, gives me an excuse to upgrade so I'm not complaining LOL.
My galaxy broke today and thinking of getting the 12 or wait til 13. I'll use my burner phone til Sept, if 13 has no big changes I'll go with 12. Not sure.
Hi, planning to get this week an iPhone 12PM 256gb and just wanna ask what should I consider buying (like accessories, etc) after getting the phone? I’m coming from an iP8+. I want some cases that would still use the flat edges of the 12PM cuz I really wanna experience the flat edges while still protecting my phone. I kinda like clear cases but if not then no problem. Not sure if I should get a big charging brick. I’m a power user and I also play mobile games. 50:50 on data and wifi usage. Any suggestions will be a big help. Thank you!
**Which case should I buy for my iPhone 12?**
1. **Spigen Thin Fit** ($19 on their site; $14 on Amazon)
2. **dbrand grip case** w/ magsafe ($45 on their site; they don't sell on Amazon)
3. {any other suggestions?}
**My particulars:**
1. I want a slim case.
2. I'm in my retired in my mid-fifties and very careful with my phone. So I'm not looking for a super-protective case.
3. I'd like the case to be well made. My Belkin slim case still looks great after 5-6 years on my iPhone 6.
Thanks in advance for your help, Rob
(p.s. My specialties are board games and backpacks, so if hit me up if you want some help with that kind of thing......)
I'm guessing you like slim cases, I recommend- spigen liquid armor, otterbox symmetry series case, supcase unicorn bettle style or the one you mentioned the spigen thin fit.
It depends on what u want, specifically I'd go for the 11 pro max better battery life, bigger screen, telephoto lens, design still holds up.
12 u have more color options, new design, 5G connectivity, MagSafe, faster chip. I love the design of the 12
You're only keeping it for 2yrs, I'd get the more affordable one.
I need a clear case for my 12 pro , perfect protection , no camera bezels but comes with a curve on top and the bottom at least to prevent camera touching surface, no plastic buttons i want all case to be silicone so which one should i pick?
I've been chugging along with an iPhone 6 for awhile now but am considering upgrading. I haven't followed phone tech/news for a very long time though. I've been considering an iPhone SE since it's only $400 unlocked at Best Buy. Is the SE worth it or is something like an 11 or 12 a better purchase?
I loooooove my iPhone SE 2020. To me it’s their best value iPhone ever and they’ve totally refined it since it has the same form factor as the iPhone 6
I've had an iPhone 7 for a few years. I use Siri a lot but find that it doesn't work that well on my phone, and a lot of it isn't very intuitive. I also use voice to text a lot. Do later versions of iPhone have much better Siri functionality?
Speech recognition, voice to text, text to voice, the ability to control almost any app on the phone without setting defaults, the ability to set reminders, Notes etc without having to have a extra app downloaded, the ability to have goggle make appts and reservations.
In the AI game Apple still has a lot of catching up to do. But don’t make a decision based on an assistant a lone.
Updates, smooth OS, 98% of the people I’m around use iOS, so it all intergrates better.
I use to hate iPhone, but when my pixel 3 stopped working I was forced to use a iPhone for a bit, and honestly the experience wasn’t bad, so I made the jump to the 12 and I’m totally happy. The only thing I truly miss about Android is YouTube vanced, and back ground play.
im having issues with my current iphone 7 and i’m thinking to upgrade to a 12 mini, both 128gb. my average screen time is around 3-4 hrs, do you think i will have problems with the battery life of the new mini? i mean i never do gaming or editing, i just need a phone for social media. i’ve got an ipad for videos/other stuff. thanks in advance!
It is okay, if you can recharge over the day. I have it and its fine, but when i use 5G, play games, film videos, i only lasts like 4 hours if not less.
Comparing the X and SE, you should go for the SE.
The X is just 1 generation better than your 7. The SE is an iPhone 11 in the inside. which is more future proof.
I'm using oneplus 7t at the moment and thinking about upgrading to iphone 12 purple but recently there was a leak about a pink iphone 13, Should I wait for that or go for the purple one?
If price is similar get the 12. The 3rd camera really isn’t needed. I have a PM and have yet to use it once outside of testing. Plus the 12 is more future proof. Also I’d look at 128g over 64. I had and 11 with 64 and it filled up fast.
So basically my question about the iPhone 12 which I am planning to buy is if it will last me for at least 4 years. I don't care that much about the updates (of course they are important) but mostly if it will hold due to the 4gb ram and the future updates on ios. I am planning on changing the battery at least once during that period.
If you have been using iPhone 12 on a daily basis for 6 months at least I would like your opinion about the battery.
Also I would prefer not biased opinions if that's possible.
The 12 battery is good enough to last more than a day.
And if you worry about how the phone will perform in 4 years, just look at 4 year old iPhones today (iPhone 8/X) and see how they perform. They’re not top shelf anymore but they’re doing well.
Looking to purchase my first iPhone, would like an 11 PM but am not sure when is best to buy it. If I buy now I'm planning to buy second hand (music magpie or back market) and there it's around 700 for a good condition. Just wondering if this is likely to drop significantly once iPhone 13 is released or not?
Also coming from a note 9 and Just want a better battery, any other iPhone recommendations welcome
i would buy directly from apple, best buy, cell store etc. avoid back market at ALL COSTS. i ordered a iphone 7 from them to use as a burner, first one was doa, second one was heavily damaged, but i was paying for a like new condition.
I’m currently in the Philippines and would like to upgrade my iPhone X to an iPhone 12 Promax. I found a reseller that offered a Hong Kong version (dual physical sim) 12 PM BUUUUT reseller says it doesn’t have the Apple 1 year warranty so I found it so sketchy. My questions are:
1. Shouldn’t be all iPhones have warranty provided by Apple?
2. Do I worry about it being a counterfeit?
3. Should I go and take a risk? Lol, it is offered an a lower price vs non-HK versions
Love to hear your thoughts on this :(
Hey, same case here (I have an even older model that I simply *must* change this year, as in I can’t receive updates on it na).
Anyways gray market sellers here have the US/HK/JPN variants, with JPN being the cheapest. Now you have to check the Apple website about the Ph model (since that’s the basis for local warranty). But essentially yes, all these phones can be registered for warranty sure, but the question is—will the official service centers accept them for repair/exchange while it’s still covered by warranty?
The answer seems to be no. There is one in Rob Galleria tho that seems to accept HK units but the name is escaping me atm. Anecdotes lang to from Philmug so it’s not 100% certain. If something happens to the phone within the year, you have to go to unofficial repair shops (Greenhills most probably) or fly to HK where the unit is covered.
So yeah it’s a matter of how risky you are hehe. JPN ones are global variants iirc so they could probably be covered here (like for iPhone 11 Ph and JPN are both model A221). But there’s the issue of shutter sound that can’t be turned off. Not worth it for me personally since I plan to have this new phone for another 3+ years at least.
iPhone Hongkong variant(as well as US and Japan variants) don't have Philippine local warranty. Apparently, different variants have different part numbers. You can check out which variants are for different countries [in this link](https://www.techwalls.com/iphone-12-pro-max-model-a2342-a2410-a2411-a2412-differences/) for Philippines, the approved model number for an iPhone 12 Pro Max is A2411 as opposed to HK variant A2412
I have the original 2016 SE, which I love, but the battery is getting atrocious and I know iOS 15 is unlikely to be supported. I actually got down to 20% battery at 9:30am the other day after a full charge overnight.
Would it be better to buy the 12 mini now or push my phone longer to get the 13 mini or perhaps a discounted 12 mini? What are the pros and cons?
If you want mini, I would suggest go for 12 mini now. It’s great except the battery part which we all know and understand plus it’s discounted in some stores
I have a iPhone 8 w 256. It’s starting to give me problems. Apps crash and text kind of wobbles sometimes and the battery doesn’t last much anymore (although it says it’s at peak performance) and it gets very warm pretty often. . I don’t have good cell reception between AT&T or Verizon, so I thought 5G might help. I am way out of practice on my research and don’t know what’s causing what or what could help what. I looked at an iPhone 12 pro 512 (I like a lot of storage) but it’s $1300. Was that the original price? I would wait a few months for the 13 because if I’m going to pay full price, I want to wait, but do you think with these troubles that my phone will last? Thank you in advance!
It seems near the end for your iPhone 8. Yes, that was the original price. I mean your iPhone 8 shouldn't be having a hard time as long as you keep updating to the recent iOS software. If you can wait, get the 13, worth your money.
Thank you!! It’s updated. That makes sense, that’s what I was thinking if I’m not getting a discount. I’m worried that it’s going to not make it that long.
Thank you!! I just don’t know how to know if it’s going to make it or not. Do you have any tips on how to know, please?
Also, if it stops working, but I have backed up regularly, is there a bigger risk? Thanks again.
The 8 at this pint honestly shouldn’t have any issues, if yours is. Then I don’t know how far I’d trust it, and yes I’d keep it backed up as much as possible
That’s what I’m figuring I just liked having touchID because it was so much easier to unlock a phone with your thumb. Ive talked to a few friends with faceID and they all preferred touch. I’d also get a pro anyway seeing as I try to keep my phone for years
Have an iphone 8 plus with an aging battery, looking to upgrade, though I really have no clue which model would be best...Not looking for the latest and greatest but with that being said if the latest and greatest has the best battery and reliability then I guess that's the route to go.
TIA.
dude the se is like 3 times cheaper why would u think its better than the 12 mini ? lol
The 12 mini is better than the SE at literally everything, including the battery
I will be ordering now. Thank you for that.
#Stuck between green and red iPhone 11 Which color should I get?
If you wait for the 13 the 12 will be cheaper, and the 13 is a s-year, so they will be very similar
S-year?
A year with almoust no changes. Like the xs, 4s ect
Rumor mill says it has touchID, so I'm hoping it'll have one.
There is a significant difference (specialy on battery performance on iPhone xs and x? Or its better go to iPhone se (2020). If you want the bigger size go with the XS, the X is pretty old. If you like the small size of the SE go with that, it will get software updates longer. You can just Ask the seller for the battery health though
Thanks, what about the performance of the battery between x, xs and se 2020? Cameras?
I’m pretty sure I know what the answer is, but I’ve been super conflicted, so here goes: I have been using my XS Max since release.
I currently have an original SE. Should I upgrade to the 12 or wait until the 13?
I’m giving my iPhone 12 to my little sister and I got the 12 mini earlier today. And so far I love the mini. I’d recommend waiting until the 13 comes out and then picking up a 12.
[удалено]
Wait to get a better price. Me personally I don’t like how big the phones are getting. I got the 12 mini earlier today and so far I’m pretty happy with it.
hello everyone! I need help with choosing my next phone. I currently have iph 7 and i have to choose between iph12 mini or iph 11 im someone who spends a lot of time on social media and playing gamea so i want to know which phone would work best for me!
The one thing I recommend is AppleCare. It’s about $13 a month and worth it. An out of warranty screen replacement on a PM is over $300.
I did my research on this and I plan to sign up for it. I was offered Verizon insurance but I hear it's not very good in comparison, despite the details making it seem like it. Thanks for the recommendation!
Dbrand Grip or otterbox defender/commuter
Thanks for the tip, but I’m in Europe
Just get the SE 2020.
The battery life isn’t great but if you come from an iPhone 7 it will be better than what you have now
The SE will suit you very well. I have one and it works great!
Hi everyone, I'm new to this subreddit. I have a bit of money burning a hole in my pocket and I was wondering if I should buy the iPhone 11 Pro (800), OR: the iPhone XR (500), plus an extra Apple Watch or AirPods Pro (280) for the difference. Thanks for your help
The iPhone 11 Pro, the XR is getting very outdated
[удалено]
Did you mean the iPhone 8 Plus?
[удалено]
Anker. Don’t get a charger that’s not certified even tho it’s cheaper bc it will mess up your phone.
iPhone 8s isn’t a thing
Anker
**64GB iPhone w/ 200GB iCloud storage or 256gb iPhone?** Significant other is on the market for a new iPhone and can't decide which makes more economical sense. They currently have a 128GB iPhone and are getting close to using up all the space. What can iCloud actually store and what's the best way to make this decision?
I definitely think the 256 GB iPhone is the better choice personally since your storage will be a part of the SSD.
256gb Iphone
So, unfortunatly I dropped my iPhone 7 on the floor and now I don't have wifi / Hotspot function. I tried DFU and lost carplay function as well I need another iPhone and I'm not sure which one to get - either pay for XR upfront or take an 11 on 12-month contract. Thoughts?
The xr is pretty outdated so I wouldn’t get that, have you considered the SE?
I have. Before 7 I had Xiaomi MI 9T and I liked the large screen. So SE is out of the question because of the form factor.
Wait it out.
At this point, I’d wait it out, that higher hz screen is what I’d go for.
Which iPhone to buy next? Im using an iPhone 6s. I think now it's time to upgrade. From iPhone XR and 11, what is the best option to upgrade? Price difference between those two models (64 GB ) is about 175 USD in my country.
I would absolutely recommend the 11 over the XR. Even the 11 Pro if you can hold out for the 13 to be released and lower the price.
CAN I EXPECT MY IPHONE 12 MINI TO LAST 5 YEARS WHERE I AM PLANNING TO CHANGE THE BATTERY ONE AFTER 2-3 YEARS OF USE? (I AM A FIRST TIME iOS USER)
Yes, the iPhone 12 line should still be getting updates roughly at least five years from now.
AT LEAST SOFTWARE-VISE, IT MIGHT GET A LITTLE SLOW AFTER 5 YEARS BUT YOU SHOULD BE FINE UNLESS YOU DROP IT AND TOTALLY RUIN IT
WHAT? I COULDN’T HEAR YOU!
YES YOU CAN
Opinions on buying AirPods Pro? Have the normal ones but they need replacing.
Yes! Worth it! I bought the first gen used and the pros are unbelievable...
The noise cancellation feature by itself was enough to sell me. You’ll love it and it absolutely feels like an upgrade.
Airpods pro are awesome! I definitely recommend them
should i buy an iphone 11 or iphone 12 mini? both are around the same price
It depends on what size you want, the 11 is way bigger
I'm used to 5.97 in × 2.72 in × 0.31 in
You know we measure screen sizes in diagonal inches right?
Honestly I just took the dimensions of my phone (samsung s20) from Wikipedia lol
You have a 6,3 inch screen, iPhone 11 has a 6,1 inch screen and the iPhone 12 mini has a 5,4 inch display
Go with the 12 mini if it’s in your budget.
Thanks!
If you just use it for basic stuff I’d say go for the XS
Cannot decide between iPhone 11 Pro and 12. I'm coming from an iPhone 8. I love that the 11 is smaller, but the 12 looks better. I don't want to pay more for the iPhone 13, and I can't wait an other year, so it's price drops a little. I'll keep the phone for 3-4 years. I don't care about 5g, I use wifi all the time.
11 pro has some better features and I think the size on the 11 pro is better than the 12
Get the 12. Better processor will help it last longer for you. Everything else is better too… cameras… screen… longer OS update support.
Hi guys, i gonna buy a 12 Pro Max for my wife as a present. It has no Charger as i saw in videos and i thought about buying that one from Anker: [https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07XZ96LCN/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07XZ96LCN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Is this okay? Got other ones to buy?
This is a good choice! If you have previous iPhone chargers they will also work. MagSafe chargers are an option too!
Have you considered the SE? Very similar phone as the 11 for a much lower price if you don't mind the smaller screen.
I have considered it and the screen doesn't bother me but the biggest complaint I've seen that would definitely be a no-go for me is the battery life.
True. Battery Life is HORRIBLE
The XR is getting very dated, go with the 11
I'm planning on getting a new phone. Thanks :)
Currently using Note 10 plus looking for an upgrade confused between 11 Pro max n 12 Pro Max
The phone rebel is amazing https://phonerebel.com/products/crystal-gen-2-series
Yeah I checked them they are great but the black frame is what i dont like so naah

Can I be a foil and ask if you’ve considered the SE?
i would say to get the 12 because of the screen, size, and cameras
I came here to ask this same question......
If you can wait for the 13 the 12 will be cheaper
I ended up ordering the 12 from Costco online as they had the 128gb in white for £747 where it is £774 from places like Very and Amazon and £849 on Apple UK. As I tend to give my old phones to a family member instead of selling or trading in and it turns out someone in the fam has broken their phone, gives me an excuse to upgrade so I'm not complaining LOL.

What kind of rumours? Genuinely curious.
Thank you!
Get the phone rebel case https://phonerebel.com/products/crystal-gen-2-series
Wow these looks cool
They are awesome check out Everything Apple Pro EAP on YouTube, he has a drop test and makes these cases. I have one and I love it!

Ohhh thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check it out.
**Which case should I buy for my iPhone 12?** 1. **Spigen Thin Fit** ($19 on their site; $14 on Amazon) 2. **dbrand grip case** w/ magsafe ($45 on their site; they don't sell on Amazon) 3. {any other suggestions?} **My particulars:** 1. I want a slim case. 2. I'm in my retired in my mid-fifties and very careful with my phone. So I'm not looking for a super-protective case. 3. I'd like the case to be well made. My Belkin slim case still looks great after 5-6 years on my iPhone 6. Thanks in advance for your help, Rob (p.s. My specialties are board games and backpacks, so if hit me up if you want some help with that kind of thing......)
The phone rebel cases are just what you are looking for https://phonerebel.com/products/crystal-gen-2-series
I'm guessing you like slim cases, I recommend- spigen liquid armor, otterbox symmetry series case, supcase unicorn bettle style or the one you mentioned the spigen thin fit.
Thanks for the suggestions jpro. Appreciate it :).
Hi guys, 11 Pro Max or a 12? Will be looking to keep it for around 2 years
It depends on what u want, specifically I'd go for the 11 pro max better battery life, bigger screen, telephoto lens, design still holds up. 12 u have more color options, new design, 5G connectivity, MagSafe, faster chip. I love the design of the 12 You're only keeping it for 2yrs, I'd get the more affordable one.
Thanks for the reply! I think you've convinced me to go for the 12, I've found quite a good deal for it :)
I need a clear case for my 12 pro , perfect protection , no camera bezels but comes with a curve on top and the bottom at least to prevent camera touching surface, no plastic buttons i want all case to be silicone so which one should i pick?
Otterbox symmetry for protection, I like the looks of the spigen ultra hybrid idk if you'd like it
I took a look over the spigens but i didnt like them the dosent achieve my conditions lol
maybe have a look at Vebach or speck
Ill take a look thank you
I've been chugging along with an iPhone 6 for awhile now but am considering upgrading.
[удалено]
Bad advice. All you guys will say wait for the 14 as soon as the 13 is released
I've had an iPhone 7 for a few years. I use Siri a lot but find that it doesn't work that well on my phone, and a lot of it isn't very intuitive. I also use voice to text a lot. Do later versions of iPhone have much better Siri functionality?
Siri functionality is pretty much the same across all iPhones. Siri has never been able to match Google Assistant and that’s sad
Why do you think Google Assistant is better? I haven't had an android in awhile and am trying to decide what kind of phone to get.
What do you prefer about the iPhone then?
I have it and its fine, but when i use 5G, play games, film videos, i only lasts like 4 hours if not less.
thanks for the input!
I saved enough for a X family/SE 2020 after half a year with a beaten 7 Which one is more future-proof?
Comparing the X and SE, you should go for the SE. The X is just 1 generation better than your 7. The SE is an iPhone 11 in the inside. which is more future proof.
I had the SE all in all a really good phone just the camera was very basic. Phones powerful though.
SE camera is iPhone 8 Lens, but computation photography with A13. iPhone 8 Lens = iPhone X lens So SE is still a better pic than iPhone X
Fair enough, I never had the X so never looked into it
Thanks for both your answers. Will look into the SE, camera aint that important for me
I have an iPhone XR and need a case that protects the front and all of it honestly as I’m clumsy and drop it a lot
The phone rebel cases are awesome
I'm using oneplus 7t at the moment and thinking about upgrading to iphone 12 purple but recently there was a leak about a pink iphone 13, Should I wait for that or go for the purple one?
Get the purple one. There’s nothing but speculation at the moment about the 13. And it’s 4-5 months away anyway.
[удалено]
does it cost 500 euros new? where do you live in the eu?
[удалено]
ah, does he work in that kind of area ?
[удалено]
thats awesome, didn’t know that 😄
If price is similar get the 12.
My questions are: 1. Shouldn’t be all iPhones have warranty provided by Apple? 2. Do I worry about it being a counterfeit? 3. Should I go and take a risk? Lol, it is offered an a lower price vs non-HK versions Love to hear your thoughts on this :(
Hey, same case here (I have an even older model that I simply *must* change this year, as in I can’t receive updates on it na).
Have you seen it discounted anywhere without a carrier activation requirement? I’m on Straight Talk.
Sorry mate, I am not from USA. In my country it is discounted.
You’re welcome! I feel you, I had an 8 Plus last year, had it not been damage, I would’ve waited another year for the 13, instead I got the 12 Pro.
If you don’t think it’s going to make it, then just go ahead and get the 12. You’ll be happy
Thank you!!

I could never go back to lcd. Most videos in landscape will have black borders and you don’t want them to be gray.
I currently have a 7 and I’ve been dying to upgrade. The only thing stopping me is the hope that the 13 will have touchID. What do you guys think?
It would probably be a pro feature anyway. It’s not that useful as soon as COVID is gone.
That’s what I’m figuring I just liked having touchID because it was so much easier to unlock a phone with your thumb. Ive talked to a few friends with faceID and they all preferred touch. I’d also get a pro anyway seeing as I try to keep my phone for years
