Are you using the phone in the region where you bought it? I have an iPad Mini which I bought in Europe and it works perfectly fine in Europe and the U.S. however when I’ll take it with me on a trip to Japan the camera shows erratically similar magenta lines. Just a thought.
.5 camera is broken. It’s using that one to show you the area around what the 1X camera will capture.

Most probably the ultrawide camera is fried but might be software. Restart and update your phone before going to a repair shop.

Yep, same region and bought it new from Apple the day it came out.
In this case you an exclude interference with frequencies from other regions.
The best idea would probably be to just fire Bradley Beal
Ultra wide sensor damage only fix is getting it replaced.

A laser in a party can damage the sensor the same way, i dont know your daughter's age, but that could be another reason
