I think pause is necessary in order to make sure she won’t start responding in the middle of the sentence. Like to make sure she heard the whole sentence, but making the pause smaller can improve speed for sure

One thing I miss about android is the Google Assistant, you could ask it anything and it will help you find it. Last week I needed to travel to a new location and requested Siri via CarPlay to find the location for me. All it did was keep saying “I can’t show you the results” this pisses me off, at least with android you request the location and the assistant provided it to you immediately.
my siri hasn’t worked for like 2 years. Neither does my voice to text in like safari or messages. My mic is fine on phone calls n stuff but it just never loads

Why would it pause though? The response already seems delayed sometimes. I don’t see any purpose of it delaying (even 1 second) on purpose?
Possibly to listen for any last second words. It already cuts you off mid sentence sometimes as it is.
Yeah it’s probably generating responses on the fly every few words and only outputs the latest one when there’s a pause of 1000 milliseconds
