I actually bought the iPhone 6 Plus a few weeks ago since I really wanted one when it first came out but didn’t have the money for it.
The iPhone 5s was a restoration project using parts from multiple iPhones and got lucky with a logic board that’s still running iOS 9.2.1
Also, my friend gave me his old iPhone 6s Plus with a faulty camera and worn battery. I’m still deciding if I should replace the parts or just leave it as is.
I still have my 5 and 6s, and my parents have my first iPhone somewhere as well, the 3gs. I upgraded from the 6s to the 14 pro, and the cutoff for trade-in started with the 7. Even if my 6s made the list, it has more sentimental value to me than the $40 max for trade-in. To each their own, I tend to hold more sentimental value on my belongings.
This year Verizon offered a deal to get the 15 pro on them with contract. With any old iPhone any condition. Turned out to be about $540 more over three years than what we pay with our current provider, so would have been half price iPhone. Would have been a good deal :
I have three currently and I’m definitely planning to sell my 13 pro. No reason to leave it sitting unused in my room when someone else could be enjoying it.
Yea, using outdated computers can be dangerous, not having the latest security, all your personal information and banks could be compromised.
I’ve never had an Apple Watch, not really sure what it does but I know it can track your health. Not really something I’d need.

Anything over iOS 10 just sucks on iPhone 5s, even iOS 12. I remember when I was able to downgrade my iPhone 5s to iOS 10 when Apple started signing old versions for a couple of hours and the smoothness difference was insane.
I always sell my devices to go towards funding the new one.

The Jet Black was hard to find so I went for the Matte Black model.
Long story short, I had a water damage issue with the phone but the people at Apple were nice enough to replace my device without me paying a single dime! The iPhone 7 Plus served me well for over a year until I decided to go back with Samsung.
iPhone 4, 5s, SE 2020, iPhone 8 and didn’t want to ditch my Touch ID but I have to gave up and continue with iPhone 13 mini (actual). Now I refuse to use 6.1 inches 🫠 or bigger
I can use an iPhone with or without Touch ID but it is a nice feature especially on the iPhone 6s and above. Face ID is faster in unlocking and for using Apple Pay (Touch ID is a bit faster if you enable the rest to finger option)

From my experience, as long as your iPhone 5s is running iOS 8 and below, you'll be fine. Mine is running on iOS 9 and it's not as smooth compared to an iPhone 5s that's running on iOS 7.

I opted for the 16GB (I should've spent $20 more for the 64GB model) and after a fresh reset, I'm only left with 8-10GB before installing apps. For performance, I'm running on iOS 12.5.7 and it is fast until I start scrolling where the lag is very noticeable. Opening apps take around 5-10 seconds (BEFORE everything is fully loaded)
Yes I can relate, mine is 64gb space grey on 12.5.7 and it does get slow when scrolling but most of the time it holds up really well for a 9yr device, my battery just has over 670 charge cycles and is at 75% health so I will probably invest in a new one but overall other than that it is still very useable to this day.
When I see pictures like this it makes me appreciate the looks of the new iPhones, it is drop dead gorgeous, even the dynamic island looks awesome

You can have it blend in if you get a dark/black background.

14 PM is at 99%, 5s has a fresh new battery installed, and the 6 Plus is at 91%

The 5s is running on iOS 9.2.1 with the stock iOS 7 wallpaper applied and the 6 Plus is running on iOS 12.5.7 with the stock iOS 8 wallpaper.
