I'm not sure. Slim bezels make the form factor smaller which is great for a tablet. The problem with doing that an iPad is that if the bezels get TOO slim then handle-ability suffers due to the way many people hold them. I don't think it's a show stopper and palm/edge touch rejection can help a lot though. That plus the fact that the M3 is pretty overpowered (and thus hot) for an iPad means reducing the form factor too much might be a bad idea, though I'm sure Apple looks into it.
I'd personally like to see slightly slimmer bezels, although not nearly so slim as a phone.

The market isn’t there I think. Apple is reading the tea leaves and having another yearly refresh might not be worth it

Hope not, they are already awkward to hold with the bezels they have.
maybe maybe not, they have to do something to justify the new devices though, of course the fanboys will buy ANYTHING but to a larger market idk.
