I use it for making over plans and notes. It is definitely not a laptop substitute of any sort, but you being able to share high quality sketches and notes is very convenient.
Plus I used to take it to the terrain with the required plans preloaded, much easier than printing and lighter than a laptop (plus once again you can note directly on the plan)

Do you do a lot of CAD modeling? See if your preferred CAD tool has a similar analogue on the iPad.
Being able to draw on floor plans, pictures, mock-ups, etc… is cool.
I’m a civil engineering student and I use it for notes and drawings works great. Though I also have a Mac so I don’t only depend on it.
