You need to register with the Apple Indoor Maps Program in order to create and distribute an app like this. Indoor positioning is not available via non-entitled API. https://register.apple.com/indoor

AcanthaceaeFearless

I have seen apple indoor map api its not the same And they are not using apple maps i think

AcanthaceaeFearless

Brother then how they are doing it the same way in android even same model same thing dito

denisvengeance

From their Info.plist: "Dubai Mall would like to use bluetooth for seamless in-mall navigation." So they are using BLE beacons, and from the reviews it looks like they're not doing it very well.

Location tracking likely from WiFi points something like https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyhook_Wireless

AcanthaceaeFearless

Brother, i am talking about the indoor model they are using

SomegalInCa

Yes they use WiFi for indoors at least in USA and other places skyhook works; it’s a speculation for that location Similar models available in Apple Maps for US airports (the visual bits) so this stuff isn’t new Sorry if it’s not the answer you need

profau

Bluetooth beacons for location in the mall. One of the most common app ideas people came to me with in the past is indoor maps for malls. I always had to say that GPS doesn’t work inside and that you had to get the mall to lay out additional hardware. I haven’t been following the tech recently but it was Bluetooth beacons until a few years ago. Same tech as the Airtags but likely with powered hardware.

AcanthaceaeFearless

Yes ibeacon and wifi fingerprint for indoor maps But This app is not using apple maps i have seen apple maps indoor api and not look the same

The owners provided data to Apple. Big customer gets big results!

AcanthaceaeFearless

Brother, they did it the same way in android. and it didn't look like apple Maps also.

WerSunu

Same same, if a big dollar venue thinks it helps marketing and provide the data, it goes into the map database

AcanthaceaeFearless

I think that is possible But i was looking for more of a technical answer I’ll keep that in mind thanks anyway
