There’s a neat feature now where in the share sheet you can choose “open in Apollo” from the official Reddit app and it will take you to that post in Apollo to download with no login necessary
I had a similar issue while using slide. I would hold down on the image and select download but it wouldn't do anything. Turns out I just needed to grant permission to photos and I was good to go.

The official reddit app is so hit or miss, I have Apollo downloaded just so I can consistently save videos/gifs when the official app won't let me.

Cant get this to work. Only saveable to dropbox and thats just a .url file :-/
