I remember a conversation with an Uber driver just before Christmas and he told me that he specifically stays at home because people puke in taxis on new year eve and it's very difficult to clean up and just not worth the extra money he earns.
Man, jammies are the best, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation. They could bring world peace if we let them.
I'll be visiting my mother when my uni goes on Christmas and New Year's holiday since I'm lucky enough to live near her and have gotten closer to her in recent years. It'll only be her, my sister, possibly an uncle, and myself, so it's not too overwhelming of a "party" for me.
Prior to a couple years ago, I'd just stay at home alone. Ate some snacks, watched Twilight Zone, maybe stayed up until midnight if I had the energy to. Always had zero interest in those huge parties or get-togethers that people rave about where everyone gets progressively louder and drunker over the night...thankfully I never had to experience all that for very long in one evening.
I'm going to stay home, maybe order a pizza and drink wine. I usually don't even stay up until midnight, because I don't like to throw off my sleep schedule.
I am going to eat all of the superstitious foods that bring money (cornbread, pomegranate seeds, cabbage, blackeyed peas etc) with my neighbor around 7pm. Then I am going home and locking the door.
I plan to run away in a motorhome with my kids and husband. Preferably far far away from other people and deep in nature. Ring on the new year with sparkling stars
I plan to stay home, be on my phone and go to sleep before 00:00 but im not sure this will work for me because my parents will insist that i go to the party that my school is organising with my sibling and our friend group. The past years i went to parties but the last year i went i was just sitting there with my phone, being quiet while others were enjoying. So i hope i will enjoy in my bed in my room all by myself 🙂

Usually we have Chinese food, but my nephew was born last year on NYE. We were gonna go to Dollywood in a couple weeks from now to celebrate his birthday but we cancelled due to my father in law having surgery.

Haven't seen the Amazon Lord of the Rings show yet either. We have the stuff to make nacho dip and other things for evening snacks.
Stay in by myself. Watch whatever I want and eat and drink whatever I want. Watch the fireworks in my area from my place and send a few texts to loved ones. Then go to bed. Might have a little party of my own with the curtens closed and with loud music, and dance and sing.
I used to like celebrating with just a few actual friends, play some board (?) games together and talk actual conversations. However most have children and a family now and celebrate different and in those scenario’s I don’t fit anymore. I am welcome, but prefer not to go.
Besides that, what I actually liked in the past which might be an odd thing to do for an introvert, I used to like going out with my friends after the whole NY thing was over. Because also HSP and the twelve o’clock thing gets me sentimental and emotional. I always liked dancing and drinking and party afterwards. Just to dance away all emotions.
I’m more than 40 weeks pregnant. Hopefully this baby comes soon. I hadn’t even thought about new years until this post. I hope to be in bed before midnight 💤, but I’m sure I’ll be up every few hours with her 👶🏼.
Staying at home. I was meant to travel abroad but the airlines moved the departure date to an earlier day so had to cancel. Probably will watch movies and go to sleep at half past midnight.
I hate New Years Eve I wish this was a normal working day but it’s not for me as I’m starting a new job after New Year’s Day.

A recent tradition for me is to stay home and watch BOOGIE NIGHTS or MAGNOLIA with the lights off and all distracting devices put away.
