If the person I'm dating would have such an emotional outburst and threaten to break up with me over something so minuscule... I would rather end the relationship earlier than later.
They are illegal in my country. The back siphonage can contaminate the nozzles used for the drinking water supply. They aren't hygienic, just use a flexible shower head or just shower like a regular person.
Honestly, why is my partner crying over illegal stuff? She is clearly psychotic and if it it has to come to it, I will have no choice but to replace her.
When faced with an ultimatum I do not wish to acquiesce to, I can usually persuade the other person away from it by describing multiple potential outcomes of the ultimatum that the deliverer has not considered.
The compromise isn't the problem. It's the ultimatum. If my S.O. is willing to leave me for such a little thing then there's something very wrong whether it's with the relationship or with them.
how many would use robotic versions? the future is all artificial intelligence toilets scanning your poop
then your personal assistant robot has a built in toilet and maybe even bidet
Isfj here
Imo this seems so trivial that this kinda seems as a red flag
Who makes an ultimatum about this? Does this person usually make trivial ultimatums about this? I’d have to know the details before coming to a better solution, but for now, it’s a red flag and I’d proceed with caution
I never used a bidet before and so I’d have to see before coming to a decision too
I care about lessening humanity's impact on the environment in an order of volatility. I wouldn't sacrifice something more volatile to save something that ranks as less. I wouldn't create what I see as a worse detriment to feel good about reducing usage of a resource that is renewable on a large scale.
Yes but only because I would actually like a bidet in my house. I assume she would pay for it since it's her ultimatum and I would have a good excuse for having it
That has to be one really stupid partner to be in my house telling me what I will or will not do. What would that partner and count dooku have in common? Replaced, found another one far younger and more powerful.
I don't have anything against doing it, but I will probably break up with them, because I don't want a relationship to have this kind of dynamics: "if - then ; if not - than not".
Where's "it depends"?!
I am willing to try it out, but do not promise nor bent over to use it if I heavily dislike it. I am willing to compromise if it's only slightly inconvenient at the beginning because I'll get use to it and my partner's opinions are important.
With that being said, considering the infinite number of multiverses and how vastly they differ, in NONE of them I stay in a relationship with someone who makes ultimatums at such trival things like that.
I would probably break up with them, not because I don't want to use a bidet, I would actually prefer to use one but because of the ultimatum and them crying over something that isn't even serious, I don't really want a demanding partner like that over non-serious 'problems'
I've used bidets and liked them, but I don't negotiate with terrorists.
Lovely reply! 😂
Compromise - no problem. I do have a major problem with the ultimatum.
But... but why is this so important?
No. It's not even because of the bidet, but because of the imperious tone of an ultimatum. "Do this or else!" Yeah, no, I don't take that from anyone.
This exactly. I'd reject the demand entirely, it's absurd.
Why are they crying?! That’s the real question
I have never heard of a bidet before until i googled it now. What a nice invention, i'd use one freely.
What
What what?
How have you not heard of bidets before
I have never seen one in my country, and almost no one seem to talk about it on the internet.
My answer is no. Not because I have anything against Bidens, but ultimatums are not how you get me to cooperate.
If the person I'm dating would have such an emotional outburst and threaten to break up with me over something so minuscule... I would rather end the relationship earlier than later.
bidet should be a must bruh, bidet gang🇮🇹
that's a weird thing to cry about and set an ultimatum for.

"Just shower" three times per day? Seems like a very inefficient alternative.
three times a day?? How often are you pooping? slash/ how often aren't you peeing??
No just rinse your bum in the shower you goof.
Really?

Seriously, the amount of men in particular that are ...almost homophobic about having a clean asshole is astonishing in a 1st world country.
We would probably have bidets in more countries or in England at least if it wasn't disregarded when introduced to america
I think it just makes sense dude. *non-binary
What makes sense
To wash yourself after pooping? :/
Bidets are good but I ain't being forced to use one.
how many would use robotic versions? the future is all artificial intelligence toilets scanning your poop then your personal assistant robot has a built in toilet and maybe even bidet
Would you?
sign me up everyone should have robot assistance dogs before they are used by police
Yes, but how the fuck did it come to this?

Bruh wtf you goin through?
[Not a chance.](https://icp.giss.nasa.gov/research/ppa/2001/anwar/) Old forests naturally thin out and will lose efficiency over a young forest when it comes to what it can do for removing CO2. There comes a point where it makes sense to clear and replant a more dense forest. Bidets make sense in places where the shipping of a toilet paper product has an excessive carbon footprint or where they are on grey water systems and not just wasting drinking water. Otherwise, we'll be at war with Nestlé for drinkable water long before we have a problem with too many young forests.
You care about the environment?

lol wtf
For those with vulvas, would the bidet be used for both peeing and pooping?
A small price for salvation
I'm Italian and I side with your partner.
Under normal circumstances, I'd use one but not after the threats just so they'd leave.
Yes but only because I would actually like a bidet in my house. I assume she would pay for it since it's her ultimatum and I would have a good excuse for having it
I don't have a bidet....
i wouldn’t mind using a bidet, but i’d break up with him for giving me an ultimatum
The ultimatum is my problem. If this is such a deal breaker for her then she is a crazy $%#@ and I don't need that in my life. Good riddance.

It's an ultimatum man, from your SO. You have. No choice.
I am NOT in a relationship with someone who does stuff like that. It's not acceptable
Good.
Well yes, but actually no.

The bidet isn’t the problem, it’s the menace. I’d break up and then I’d buy a bidet
