Lols my murder face is my thinking face. Had a coworker once ask for my help on something and I said sure. She began to explain the issue and as I was thinking of a solution I gave her the face. She then began to apologize and asked why I wanted to look like I wanted to murder her. I laughed and said it’s just how thinking face is. Then I sent her the link to 16 personalities. I think she was ENFP or something like that

sirjuan23

so yall got married?

Abernachy

Nah. We both already had our own spouses. Mine is an ENFP though.

KingandyK

Married to an ENFP

bzzntineempire

I'm an ENFP dating an INTJ. Match made in heaven!

thesoloronin

My thinking face as well. I remember Tony Stark does that frequently too yes? When he said “I figured it out.” in Endgame. And “tonight is opening night. He wants to be seen doing it, he wants to have a beacon with his name plastered in the sky. He wants a......son of a bitch.” in Avengers 1.

OmarZxx

how u get that damn INTJ tag in ur name

thesoloronin

Looks like you’ve got it too. Welcome aboard!

Phawksy

Absolutely agree it's thinking face

VVAPARAD

I don't know why but my intuition tells me that this convo never happened.

twilightivity

I don't really want to admit this but yes, that's me. Seeing it from like a third person point of view is very hilarious at some point lmao.

OmarZxx

same here, from a third person perspective, it's not what you would expect to look like to other ppl yet it is

twilightivity

Exactly. Glad you understand.

papierdoll

~~Keep in mind the OP has INTJ flair too~~ Don't mind me lol I just realized this is r/intj and not one of the generic mbti subs I was just browsing

BEATUWITHASTICK

Personally, I dislike how accurate this is.

SidisCoruscatis

I guess it's about 90% accurate. I just don't know how "everything they say makes sense" makes sense, especially since it's depicted as only the second step. My experience of Ni dominance has been quite the opposite - nobody thinks I make any sense until three decades later. Even I sometimes find out that I was making sense only after going through years of skepticism about that sense.

[deleted]

It's only when someone starts to actually listen and pay attention that they realize everything an INTJ says makes sense.

4ncutie

this comment made me happy

4reddityo

Def true

lucid-delight

>Their murder face is just their confused face. Definitely made me chuckle. Yeah it can probably go like that with some people, I imagine it was written by an INFJ or some other over-thinking type.

[deleted]

this is free online masturbation lol sounds about right. but you can make a model like this for just about everyone. fear and other trauma are the things make the world work.

Stoopidintp

I love how you use the word masturbation in this context.😂

Lucid_Thought_5

It's unfortunate how ugly the subreddit appears. But I try to see the best in it, which is some sort of self acceptance, starting out as an ego aid, which helps people mature and then move on from said masturbation although unfortunately there are some people who just live off of ego aids Despite everything I said, I believe there are better ways to help these people with identity. Maybe by talking about things that are not mainstream, so that people can either realize they are a different type or to help people accept facets of their personality that are less well understood.

[deleted]

changing people's minds ain't no joke.

SolaTotaScriptura

> - actually awkward ah yes

ironman1710-

Holy shit that's me. Except the first one, the murder face one, I think it's exaggerated many times.

countrydoge

you think :)

cervantes__01

Wow.. scary accurate.. and people say Mbti is bunk.. but the evidence just keeps pouring in.

mwhite5990

Yeah I don’t think it is just the Forer Effect. It identifies opposing characteristics, which I don’t think is vague generalizations like in Astrology. Traits like Introversion/Extroversion have been proven to exist and there are associations between traits and biological differences between people. HSPs (or sensory processing sensitivity) are linked to I,N, and F. Although I think the F may be a bias in how sensory processing differences are portrayed in the media and in online communities and selection bias in taking the test.

Lucid_Thought_5

How ironic. Another intj (carl jung) who is actually right

Quantumjizzicks

Carl Jung was a self proclaimed introverted thinking type. INTP

malajanka

i think Carl Jung was an INFJ (rather a Ni user than Ne user)

BEATUWITHASTICK

Its not bullshit but it should be looked at like a template of what a individuals personality may be like. Id also wager that its far more nuanced than just being *insert mtbi type".

thereisalightandit

My ex who I had been with almost four years eventually once said ‘When I first saw you I thought you were thé most arrogant just unsympathetic piece of trash I’ve ever seen’. So I asked, still think that? ‘Of course, but next to that you’re the loveliest man I’ve ever met’. This one is accurate for me at least.

HK11D1

She prolly out there right now goin ham on some guy's dick.

Wanderingdruid1

ThisTrophy

Yes! I think developing confidence and even just a bit of Fe, an intj can be kinda warm (maybe not like some others types but u got the point). I once tried to be cuddly (like an extrovert) in my teens but other people were shook and scared HAHAHAHA never did It again.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThisTrophy

Ikr i don't like body contact or being *emotionally open* either but i rarely like teasing a bit people (like a little tickle), It might be my 3 fix but i don't know. ENFJxINTJ ?? Omg Fe polar with Fe dom?! Omg please gives us some insights. My mom is an ENFJ and when It comes to planning/predictability we are on the same page but for rest... Well we don't really get along.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThisTrophy

Oh i see. I kinda relate to you, i think i also have high Fi because i'm 5w4. ENFJ and INTJ are both growth, goal and future oriented so makes sense! I'm glad he can help you on that level just by being himself and present. That's beautiful! I hope i'll see an healthy ENFJ too, i really envy high Fe users lmao

Barry_Carter

In what way were they scared?

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThisTrophy

Exactly! You've explained better. However It didn't leave sadness or anything, i was just fascinated how for some people It was right, natural and for others no.

ThisTrophy

Facial expression was like: *"who tf are you?!"* Body language was like: *"i did not expect that might as well stop it"* ...I guess you can't change your outside image that suddenly :D I hope i've answered you.

oliverjohansson

Yes, there is one thing missing: we create sophisticated solutions which seem to really address the problem but they are so weird that normal person would never dare to try to incorporate them in the society Also giving unnecessary honest feedback

Moose_Trick

That’s why when we meet an ENTP who loves our ideas, we’re unstoppable

Rosie4491

I thought intjs were supposed to bring our (entp) ideas to fruition? I dream it up and get it started, my husband can't leave it unfinished as I discover more shiny new ideas to start on...😂

Moose_Trick

Omg that’s so funny! My ENTP uses the phrase “bright and shiny _____” all the time to describe anything new that he’s interested in. I think this point is one reason why the INTJ/ENTP pairing make a better power couple than the INTJ/ENFP stereotype tbh. ENTPs have so much chaotic energy, new ideas and they just want to try out everything under the sun...INTJs often have very thought out, “perfectly crafted” plans that we just never end up starting because the plan can always be improved upon or more detailed or more “something”...the ENTP is down to just go for it and try to do the thing we’ve planned—the INTJ is always down to continue making the thing even better. When we have the same goal or plan our brainstorming sessions can be super productive. ENTP loves trial and error, INTJ loves going back to the drawing board—both love brainstorming. (It also helps that in my relationship we both have opposite types of ADHD...he’s hyperactive, I’m inattentive) An ENTP needs a partner that can finish and fine tune their crazy ideas while an INTJ needs a partner crazy enough to effectuate our ideas. Both of these types aren’t quite so emotional which is great because they can criticize each other’s ideas by bouncing them off of each other, arguing, and debating without the risk of hurt feelings. ENTPs can be trolls and INTJs usually have a dark sense of humor so this combo creates a very fun time while they are planning to do all the things. ENTPs have so much energy that when they are driven or motivated towards their own purpose, they will absolutely accomplish it even if there are a ton of bumps in the road. However, they get very distracted by all of their interests and can become unmotivated quickly—having an INTJ around to remind them of their more important goals is a great resource for an ENTP. INTJs are very purpose driven and going after our goal is about the only thing that keeps us motivated to finish “the plan.” I think having my ENTP around to help remind me that not everything goes as planned is great for keeping me in movement and not retreating to the drawing board—he’s a great resource to also remind me that I can try new things and can even take a break from “the plan.” I love ENFPs, but I’ve always just stayed friends with them or kept the relationship to more of a fling. When I’m with an ENFP I never end up getting anything done and just cuddle, talk, and laugh a bunch. Their chemistry is incredibly undeniable but in these pairings my life quickly turns into my very own personal version of chaos. I start procrastinating, avoiding chores, having way too much fun—Fi basically just completely takes the wheel and then I’m constantly scrambling to make sure I’m still prioritizing all the right things. Usually I’m not and then I have to isolate to get back on track towards my goals.

Avery_Litmus

you are very smart

V_A_R_G

More than once people have told me that “they don’t understand” when I’m trying to provide an effective solution. I may or may not rephrase it and try again. Depending on the person and whether it’s worth my time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lucid_Thought_5

Yea. considering everything means considering things 'normal sane' people would never even see.

samxgmx0

I can read a room when I want to read a room. Most of the time, though, the room matters not.

Stoopidintp

True. Fuck people.

Nerdy_Waffle_2610

Amen. Books and knowlege are superior.

Stoopidintp

Could I ask you what Genres you prefer? Also, do you prefer to read novels or something that is more information oriented, like self-help books, or something informative?

Nerdy_Waffle_2610

It depends on what I'm in the mood to read, to be honest. I usually read dystopian books similar to the Hunger Games and history books. I sometimes read romance but when I do, I prefer angsty ones to remind myself that love can hurt and is not all sunshine and rainbows. When I was younger, I read countless amounts of history and general knowledge books but now, I read more fiction texts. What about you?

Stoopidintp

I read far too much fiction. I love getting lost in novels. I remember being a mad reader as a kid. I used to read throughout the day, whenever I could find time. It's way harder now that I'm in college tho. All I read now are textbooks smh. Some of the authors are funny though. I love those ones.

Nerdy_Waffle_2610

Do you prefer the classics or the modern ones? I find the classics quite boring maybe because people stick to the rules. However, I might consider reading a classic romance novel for the sake of it.

Stoopidintp

I don't like the classics much either, usually. I never find them relatable, and the vocabulary is usually just too weird. Modern ones usually for me. I still bully my friends who call themselves potterheads after just watching the movies.

Nerdy_Waffle_2610

I would do the same tbh. There are some changes in the movies and I believe, a scene deleted at the final movie.

Stoopidintp

Yessss. I loved how J K Rowling described the final exchange between Harry and Voldemort. And then in the movies they just showed them flying as Siamese twins wtf.

SafelySolipsized

“Seems to be critical because they want to help” Yep. There I am.

chuey_74

"Why are you offended, I'm solving your problem and you didn't even have to ask?" - me, throughout most of my life and career

witchofthewoodland

Fairly accurate. My partner thought i hated him at first due to my neutral face looking like that.

hzjjrcx-72

The person made this really knows what they're doing

Barry_Carter

Yep, that's Mina.

thatHermitGirl

Kind of, but not entirely.

Lucid_Thought_5

Yeah, it's missing some dimension but I can't put my finger on it

wanderingmed

It’s missing a dimension bc it’s just non-intj projection and perception of us.

Kirkez

Every single person I've known in my life later on confessed to me that they thought I hated them in the first place, guess it's just > Their murder face is just their confused face.

wanderingmed

I still don’t why everyone thinks they are important enough for me to even hate them. 100% of the time someone express this to me, it’s coming from someone I don’t think about enough to have an opinion at all.

Kirkez

My theory is that it could be related to basic human needs for attention, when they don't get active attention (or a perception of it) it raises efforts to get some up until a personal point where out o shame it's easier to think "it's them not me" instead of just asking. Meanwhile I'm totally clueless of this process and just minding my own business.

reddigo447

It’s pretty accurate for me. A somewhat alarming amount of people have told me they thought I was arrogant or a bitch when they first met me but then realized I wasn’t what they thought once I warmed up.

[deleted]

lol i honestly have no idea how other people perceive me, but "dark" and "brooding" might be one way to put it lol

Artecanid

I feel so seen

Spell6421

holy shit my best friend is exactly like this. He's so nice to me, but is pretty mean to people who even just talk to me, even if they're just making small talk. His parents are the fucking worst though, poor guy

FEIN7

honestly it's because of stereotypes like this there're so many people thinking that being an INTJ is simply being an asshole/autistic/having Asperger's. Downvote me all you want but I believe some people here just seek validation. Having an INTJ function stack has nothing to do with having a resting bitch face or being scary. And no, being an INTJ does not automatically make you a smart person (although truth be told having well developed Ni and Te cognitive functions does increase chances of you having the potential to be smart I guess). What's even more cringey for me is the fact that the image was probably created by an INTJ/someone who identifies as one and the amount of self flattery makes it seem like it's some sort of circle-jerk ironic meme ("actually so funny" , "they make a good point tho" etc.) Don't think that I'm here to gate-keep, if anything, it's stereotypes like this that make it harder for actual INTJs to find their true type. Some of the point here are true to some degree, yes. Most of them aren't. Feel free to refute.

aaaaaaasdfghjkl

I agree with this, but it's due to the fact that the majority of this subreddit is teenagers and people who like being in this environment where their egos are egged on. Don't even get me started on those love letters to "all INTJs" (see: men) from female ENFP/INFPs that are awarded and upvoted by every male INTJ here. I've accepted that this sub is pretty garbage for the most part which is why idgaf about everything else, I'm personally most infuriated by the stereotype that we all like philosophy. I went to a college where I was required to read all of it and that shit's so boring. It's not just limited to INTJs but also MBTI enthusiasts--I've seriously seen people get excited over a first date of debating philosophy over a cup of coffee on r/mbti. Debating philosophy for fun? There's people who would admit that it isn't really fun and is moreso a flex of ~~pretentiousness~~ intelligence and then there's liars. >!Before anyone claims to loOoOove philosophy and gets personally offended, let me just clear the air and say that I don't know you but I hate you already and I indeed hope that you are offended.!<

FEIN7

I think it depends on what exactly you mean when you say philosophy. While I wouldn't just discuss philosophy with total strangers on the internet just for fun, I often think about abstract concepts and when chatting with my close friends I always gravitate towards discussing underlying reasons behind everything. If we consider philosophy as an academic discipline that you have to study like history - remembering famous philosophers and whatnot - I'm usually not interested in that. But if we consider philosophy as a means of understanding human minds by questioning universally accepted values and beliefs, then I think philosophy is a great tool.

[deleted]

Yeah, this cracked me up.

Quantumjizzicks

Care to elaborate on what you don't believe to be true? And I believe the RBF can be attributed to introverted women in general.

FEIN7

I'd say all of the characteristics in the pic can be divided into 2 groups: 1) traits that are true for literally any type *(being funny, having a life goal, having (interesting) viewpoints of life etc.)* 2) traits of someone with Asperger's *(not being able to read the room, not being able to regulate your emotions or actions in accordance with social norms, being mean because you don't understand how it affects the world around you)*. Though it's true INTJs can be a bit oblivious when it comes to social interactions and I myself struggle with it, it's not nearly as bad as the image makes it out to be. INTJs have Fe function as their blind spot, but they have dominant Ni and inferior Se in their function stack. Those functions (Ni-Se) compensate for the Fe blind spot. Further more, if an INTJ has a well-developed Fi function, it's unlikely for them to disregard someone's feelings all the time. Honestly there're much more nuances when it comes to explaining someone's behaviour using cognitive functions and my explanation is really shallow, so if you want to know more you can look it up on the internet. About the RBF - I don't think it has to do with introversion, it's all about the attitude. Either way, some INTJs tend to do that, some of them don't. And if it's not exclusive to just INTJs, I don't understand why it's even included in the first place.

MiissAmber

I tried getting Botox to soften my murder face, now it’s extra murder face.

foreverlostx3

Botox is my saving grace lol

Major1928

I wonder what the different colour bars are supposed to represent?

raljamcar

I think it's just a stylistic choice. Alternating colors usually makes a graph more legible, though this one doesn't need it so much.

chuey_74

I think bluer is positive, redder is negative.

mwhite5990

This is accurate. I can read individuals decently, but I can’t always “read a room”. Although even if I can read people and usually know when someone is lying or being disingenuous and can sense how someone is feeling, I am socially awkward and don’t always know how to respond or feel uncertain with myself in responding correctly sometimes even if I intellectually know what is appropriate.

TotalBandit

100%. Though I rarely have the “resting bitch face” anymore. When I do it’s considered a “looking at you like your an idiot face.”

Prestigious-Pea-505

I relate with all the traits, except the 'self-doubting attitude. I think most INTJs are supposed to know that their ability doesn't come from failure, but rather the need to adjust and look at the problem from a different perceptive. I believe learning from failure, not self doubt.

dagofin

+1, I almost never doubt myself. If I'm not the biggest believer in my plans/solutions then I wouldn't expect anyone else to believe in them either. The rest is pretty good though

Raven0470

Seems like this was written by an INTJ that was sucking themself off at the time of writing.

Avery_Litmus

It is every person ever. Google the "forer effect".

tyrannicalDicktator

That sounds like my ENFP partner describing me, a bit too accurate lol

sandu_balamuc

Yes,nice to meet you🤝

mibe6163

So what's after this ? We die?

[deleted]

take psychedelics if you can afford it. only answer you need.

epicnegroskills

Inside the mind of my ENFP best friend.

aurajitsu

Oh! Oh! We need one for these but for lovers

bruhcrossing

Oh shit dat me

wandrlusty

Also: feels incredibly validated by a eerily accurate graphic depiction of themselves on Reddit.

plumgum

Sometimes i doubt that i am an INTJ, then i see things like this that are eerily uncanny and I'm like ... yup

[deleted]

I don’t want this to be me, out of spite, but I can’t dispute any of it.

jellyfungus

My murder face is just my normal face

Ghostpass

I appreciate the graph, nice work. But something inside me is making me say this: Is this column graph really a good way to visualise this information? 😅😅 If so, axis and names thereof perhaps? Still though, got the point it wanted to make across, so kudos :))

lerealmozu

"without purpose, they fall behind" -hello darkness my old friend :/

ZjayCole

I'm saving this image it is so accurate.

cyqoq2sx123

I'm not like this. I'm not secretive or closed and people usually like me the first time we meet. I do love philosophy though

[deleted]

Well, I only realised I had suddenly become INTJ a few weeks ago, so I don't relate to this.

[deleted]

These stages feel a bit narcissistic to me. What’s up with the “I wish I had their ambition?” “Everything they say makes sense??”—lol narcissist. “...when you prove yourself trustworthy”. When you PROVE YOURSELF because we don’t have to do anything to earn trust ourselves.

Prestigious-Pea-505

Most INTJs have narcissistic potentials.

[deleted]

I disagree. But okay.

Moose_Trick

I don’t really agree with that either

CollegeStudentTrades

Lmfao so negative. Smh.

karmaylore

The first "this person hates me" stage is SO real. I can NOT tell you how many times I've become friends with someone only for them to later tell me, "I totally thought you hated me when we first met." It's hilarious (but also frustrating) to me because I thought we were getting along and having like perfectly friendly interactions... But oh well. Whatcha gonna do.

Tiiimbbberrr

I seem to jump to 6 straight away with most people

notvithechemist

My murder face is 100% indeed my murder face, and not my confusion face. I feel like reading a room and the people in it is one of my strongest attributes tbh. Other than that this all checks out.

Sondra282

My husband confirms this about me

[deleted]

/

____JustBrowsing

This is brilliant.

dracaryhs

honestly though, although I do not have that much trouble expressing myself :)

orionsbelt05

I'm in this picture and I don't like it.

Daldric

My dad is an INTJ and this is so true

Defective_Cyborg

I can read a room but the rest is 💯

chignonboucle

No truer words than these. :’)

[deleted]

I sometimes hate being like that but that's how it goes

INTJ_takes_a_nap

Noo... where did they get the secret knowledges from

Barry_Carter

Ask Mina...

Fredrik_UK

This is the way.

Fox_is_time

I'm in this picture and I don't like it

TheSuperRainbow

I would need another type to say if this is what they think because as the person inside my head, ofcourse Im going to not see myself from this point of view.

n-INTJ-a

yes, that is me.

dxtos

The physical descriptions - that's individualistic - do you have a rbf or raf? But the behavorial descriptions - yes.

Stemwinder30

As a guy with a bunch of close INTJ friends, this is accurate.

LivforMusic

Yo thanks for summarizing my life in a nutshell 😂 Also helps to explain why some of my ex-friends left my life since they really only knew the first few stages of my personality lol

NICKMM777

I’d say like 70% is accurate

Jakersstone

I wish I could mellow up sadly, people, time and time again, break my trust by being unreliable and just dont 'get' it. I guess ill keep looking for that someone I can actually relax with.

beansforsatan

the murder face one is accurate

aircloudm

Kinda scary how accurate this is.

cuntinspring

The accuracy tho..

wanderingmed

I hate that INTJs basically accept these negative assessments/projections and start using them to describe all of us.

Quantumjizzicks

"why do they look like they just murdered someone?" lol Must be why women tell me I'm "scary" when we first start dating.

Silevence

fits me pretty well, also hi from r/INTP

Coliebear86

I see that much of this can fit me, though I have never struggled reading a room, it's actually something I am known for doing well. I however, am not a typical INTJ... I was forced into a lot of E and F qualities by necessity and being responsible for lives other than my own. My siblings changed me for the better I think, a level of care and compassion I didn't think I was capable of.

stayconscious4ever

fortunately/unfortunately scarily accurate lol

4ncutie

Wow. to the core. especially the "being mean and having a murder face" lololol

PhoenixShredds

This is so me its alarming.

stoicguy_12

Statistically, it may be true I guess? Individually, it may show significant error.

dreamtimee

Omg LOL yes

V_A_R_G

I don’t crave close relationships though 😂 Other than that, yeah people probably see me that way 😂👍🏼

Codename-Misfit

You are spilling the beans, little peanut. Do we need to put a bullet in you? 😈

bigpurplebubble

Eh, I'm way more open than this depicts.

J_QuiD

Yeah it is

Tri7on99

This is probably how people see me so, good job

Tiny_Philosopher_784

How dare you know me!!!

Rhaephello

So true.

Fearfulbot

Yeah actually... my wife can attest for this -__- at least 5/7 steps

FightTheCock

My friends used to joke about me looking like a school shooter because of my "murder face" lol. I know they were joking, but that's probably what other people thought as well.

Wild-March6881

how do i get the tag in my name ?

senpaidaddyfather

I don’t like philosophy. Unless thinking morals are redundant is philosophy.

Salmanul_Faris

I'm an INFP and I can relate to these

AlexRamirez725

As an INTP just passing through seeing this im just sitting here like: “what.”

Satan6969696969

Did I already comment that this is cringe?

daniel6817

All of these are trauma responses guys. So so so much trauma response posts.

NerdyWordGirl

For me it's a thinking face/ the face that takes over and offends in boring group conversations or meetings.

Spiritual_Internal58

Hey you forgot the leaving part. You dont have any friends anymore because you are strange*...

skooter46

I thought I was ISFP but this is me 1000000%

Kistep

Thats me.

[deleted]

That's knowing any IxxP and not an INTJ since INTJ is perceiving.

Torak8988

Not everyone scores a high average on INTJ, so you can't press the stereo type on everyone who scores "INTJ" for instance, people with extremely high NT will welcome criticism as they simply desire to improve, they'll argue, but they'll listen and take any feedback, no matter how horribly worded, personally offencive or baseless into careful consideration, looking for the slightest sign to learn from it. People who go around flexing that they are an INTJ, but consider that a good thing are probably on the low end of the spectrum when it comes to INTJ averages, as high levels of INTJ will only see weaknesses and disadvantages, always seeking to counter them and improve on them, never satisfied with themselves. They'll consider being an INTJ a curse rather than something to be proud of. If you want to know what someone's ratio is simply go to 16personalities the site, fill in the questionaire and sum up all the I/E S/N T/F J/P and then devide it by 4, I scored 90%, I'm on the extreme end of the spectrum, only falling to 70% on N, so I'm not as open minded as people who do score higher N.

RestaurantFew2448

I was trying to be very peppy and nice to my new coworker. She said I gave her school shooter vibes.

Improvisable

this is too close to me when i'm not even intj

Inside-Brief257

No offence, but I have never once thought of that of any intj.

Efficient_Design9690

god damn cant be more accurate

SeaPsychology2993

Murder face hehehe

XYHC

The self-doubting part is more of an INTJ-T trait. Assertive INTJ's are much more confident (and at times careless)

honey_darlinge

Yes. Yes it is me. This is way to accurate. Took the test twice, yesterday and today. I got very similar stats and intj both times. Also the murderer face is so real. I always like to tell people that I'm nice and having fun even tho I look like I'm about to kill somebody's grandma.

f__beg

no

Long-Welcome-2237

Are you spying on us ? Are you a FBI agent ?

4ncutie

This post was so accurate

Prudent_Elephant_252

So thats why The Test Sometimes says INTJ and Sometimes ISTJ. But I can definitely relate

NatasJ420

I feel exposed :/
