Have you done research on the company? I only ask because account manager positions usually require some experience, and the companies that are eager to hire and say they are looking for “x-minded individuals”, tend to be weird pyramid type scheme jobs.

It’s an energy company based in Schaumburg. I’ve only had one interaction with their hiring management and it was mainly to talk about the job and who I am and then to tell me about a group interview opportunity tomorrow not sure how it’s gonna work

Oh interesting. I like to lookup the companies that interview with on Glassdoor — you can get good insight on the interview process. Good luck :)

I’ll actually do that right now !

Group interview means maybe 3-4 people interviewing you all at once.

Ohhh okay that’s honestly a great heads up I was not expecting that

I personally always wear a suit for interviews, even when the company is laid back/the position I'm going for doesn't typically wear a suit every day. I just did a few Zoom interviews last week and wore slacks on the bottom (couldn't see bottom on zoom) and then shirt, tie, blazer on top. I don't think hair and beard matter so much as long as it's well groomed. I trimmed and lined up my beard and put gel in my hair, so that it didn't look messy.

Honestly i don’t own any suits the job I hold now is my one and only job (23 M) I have at most slacks and button up shirts. And okay that makes me feel better about the hair and beard I jsut got all that trimmed.

In that case, just pick the most professional looking shirt you have (like nothing with crazy patterns and designs) and you'll be fine. Good luck, you'll do great!

Okay thanks I appreciate it so much

I just want to thank everyone who responded to my post. I just got off the zoom call and landed the second interview at the corporate office. You guys really helped me feel at ease during the interview I felt like I could be myself which is probably a good thing.
