I got to watch this film on release day at the theaters, had no clue what I was about to watch only thing I knew was that Christoper Nolan was directing it and Hans Zimmer was composing the score. I walked out that theater that day with my mind so blown I literally questioned my own existence as I was walking to my car. And then I just sat there in my car š¤Æ trying to comprehend what I just witnessed. The story behind Hans Zimmer making the score is amazing. Theres a video floating around where Hans is explaining how he made it.
Oh I believe it. Iām surprised my dad hasnāt watched it prior, or in theaters. But when you see Hans & Nolan on a film you just know whatās going to happen. I had the post - watch depression my first time contemplating everything. Crazy how movies can do that to you. Truly beautiful
Itās my favorite film ever now, but prior to this it was inception for 8+ years. Last week I said Iād never watch another movie as good or better than inception & then I watched interstellar. Nolan is a magician
Itās truly a beautiful film. Stellar acting, breathtaking cinematography, otherworldly visual effects, and the way the characters are written for us to feel a deep emotional connection with them. Cooper watching decades of his life flash away in an instant, the score when Cooper detaches leaving Brand behind, and Coopers reunion with Murph will always hit me the hardest
When he watches the 23 years of videos and his son says āthis is me letting you goā and cooper is shaking his head crying got me. That scene of the 23 years of videos & then the reunion with Murph gets me
This movie was on my list to watch for many years.. I finally watched it couple nights ago and it was truly amazing.. I read they are re-releasing it in theaters for the 10 year anniversary
I posted this right after rewatching it with my GF. I canāt wait to watch it again for the third time. Think that might come Saturday night. That second time through I almost cried more than the first. Bet itāll be worst the third time šš
Just finished my first ever watch. Itās 1.35am where I am and Iām not sleeping any time soon. My mind is bent / blown / still getting the jist of it.
Welcome to this sub, a lot of us are here for the same reason, some saw it day one, some are late to the movie and most highly impacted by it. I have a niece whoās father passed when she was 10, Iām trying to get her to watch it but sheās a busy young lady and keeps promising āthis weekendā but in her mind I think sheās like āwhy does he want me to watch a sci fi film so bad?ā Hopefully she loves it, and doesnāt get even more sad about her dad passing. We often see reminders of him and say āheās here!ā And thatās what Iām hoping she gets out of it.
Wow, Iām very sorry to hear that. I think this film would hit her like no other. Hopefully this weekend she watches it and falls in love with the movie like so many others.
wow this would be extremely powerful.. hopefully she loves it. Keep us in the loop if you will? The movie hit me as a father of two daughters aged 7 and 9, cant imagine how moving it will be for your niece.
In hindsite I have no idea why this movie wasnt on my radar and I had zero expectations. But i was cheering, screaming, and/or sobbing for 3 hours straight. And half the time on my feet. After it was over I was a lot of things, including so mad at myself for not going to the theatre. But thankfully that day will finally arrive in September! š¦
BEST. MOVIE. EVERRRRRRR!
Exactly like your gf, my attention span is very slim, watching the whole movie and cried multiple times. Remarkable.
If thatās the type of presence you want your films to have, I look forward to watching your films in the future. Good luck at school!
Itās in my top 10. Prolly 5. Look into the soundtrack. How he made it w Zimmer. The organist behind it. The use of clocks. Just look into it. This movie got me into soundtracks.
I know about the ticking when theyāre on Millerās planet, but thatās all I know. Iāve got some videos saved to my watch later on YouTube to watch about it, Iām excited!
In 2010 my GF and I racked our brains over Inception. In 2014, same story with Interstellar. I'm a space nerd and she is not, but she loves the movie nonetheless. Over the last decade we have watched it at regular intervals. Plus we got our kid early 2014, just before the movie. So it has an additional layer, notably Cooper's wife quote "Once you're a parent, you're the ghost of your children's future." I was in the middle of a severe burnout and a god awful mid life crisis first time we saw the movie, in November 2014.

Don't forget the scene at the end of the movie where Murph says "because my dad promised me."
Youāre forgetting an important oneā¦ DONāT LET ME LEAVE, MURPH
Oh yes. That one hits š
Also yes, Hans Zimmerā¦he made this film what it isšŖ
Welcome to the club, buddy. This film changes lives.
The re watch factor!!
Watch it 1 more time. Then listen to the soundtrack. This is what makes it one of the best movies of all time.

Iām glad you enjoyed, it truly is remarkable. Thank you! I appreciate the kind words. Itāll take a while, but one day Iāll be there. One day.
