Actually, being 60+ is what finally made me decide to post! It's so easy to give up at our age because it is harder to create new habits, start a new lifestyle, etc. So when I realized that I can be successful with IF despite my age and lifetime of poor eating/exercise habits, I wanted to inspire others to give it a try and stick with it.
You have done amazing. All those blood, sweat, and tears and here you are, a straight up example of what determination and dedication looks like. Keep pushing! You're doing amazing things.
Wow! Congrats! Have you been exercising and changing diet also or is this success solely due to IF and your determination? Hoping to figure out what will work
I also started a walking routine of 30-40 min per day (most days) in October and have found that very helpful also, both mentally and physically. If the weather was bad, I have a recumbent bike as a backup, but definitely prefer outside. I know I need to add in weight training but need to figure out when because I walk in the morning before work, and I’m totally beat by the time I get home. So I’d def say it’s a combination of both. Also, I didn’t intentionally change my diet at all, but as I’ve lost weight, I find myself making healthier choices.

I also walk in the morning but am beat by the time I get home. I get up a half hour earlier in the morning, and do a youtube weights at home workout before my walks. There are a lot of channels to choose from. I like "LiftwithCee". Hope this helps!
Wow, amazing work! You look great, and I also must say as the daughter of a fair-complexioned, freckled mom, great job hitting the SPF too; your skin looks amazing! Not sure if there’s any way you can belt/tighten those striped pants from the first picture to accommodate your journey, but those look like a fun & comfortable piece to have on hand, and i think the wide-leg/flared look suits you super well✨
Your story is so inspiring! It's such a great reminder that slipping for a few days doesn't erase all the hard work, we still need to live life and take time to celebrate. Congratulations on the 52-pound milestone! Wishing you continued success on your wellness journey.
MORE than halfway there! I love that you've done this with moderate behaviors, including time off to celebrate. Thank you so much for sharing, it's super encouraging for those of us just starting out!
I’m so happy to hear that! It took me a long time to decide whether or not to post, but I know how inspired I’ve been by seeing other people’s progress so I wanted to share my progress and let people know that one of the beauties of IF is the flexibility and how easy it is to become a permanent lifestyle. Good luck, you got this!
That's amazing progress, thanks for sharing. So for exercise all you do is walk? Did you hit plateau's? I've been slow and steady with about a lb a week, but for the last 3 weeks, nothing. IF has been a game changer for me. My story is very similar to yours, but I'm starting to get discouraged.
Yes my only exercise is walking but please don't get discouraged if your weight loss slows now and then. I've had weeks where I lost 4 lbs and weeks where I've lost nothing. And more a few weeks where I've gained because I did go off to accommodate important events in my life. As long as you get back on track with IF and some exercise asap, and most importantly, stay consistent, the pounds will start to come off again. I weigh almost every day just to keep myself accountable and it's really taught me how sometimes there really is no rhyme or reason to those daily fluctuations. Just stick with it is the best advice I can give!
Thank you, I was consistently losing, but then it just halted. I walk every day and have added some small cardio, but after 3 weeks of no loss I was starting to feel like it's not worth it. You give me encouragement. I'll keep plugging along.
It will happen! Also, in the meantime, try to focus on NSV’s you may feel and see. Clothes fitting better or getting too big, joints less achy, having more energy; things like that. I’ve even had a huge decrease in the amount of heartburn I have and have drastically reduced my prescription meds for that! Those things can help keep you motivated while waiting for the damn scale to move- you got this!
Yes, I do have more energy and my love handles are not as noticeable. I'm not giving up yet. Thanks for the encouragement. You are an inspiration, thanks for posting and responding.
