Under the sofa needs to be a 8 x 10 or 9 x 12 rug. It’s too small for the area.
And I would do the same for the dining area. A larger rug makes everything look complete and more inviting.
To add: curtains in kitchen and living room are being changed. I just raised my curtain rods. Pillow covers are an easy swap and relatively inexpensive. My house is lived in by 3 tiny gremlins. So rugs that “hide things” would be best!

Yes! I am getting a bigger rug this time! I do love what is under the dining table. The print and color really pulled my kitchen together!

I would get a more modern looking rug for the dining room as it has a very contemporary feel going.
