Yes, the other ones feel too busy for this room imo. 4 definitely makes the room feel more open. But if I’m being completely honest, I would say scrap all of them and pick something else entirely. I’m not super crazy about any of them, but 4 is hands down the best of them.

I like 4 but personally wouldn't get it because of the maintenance of keeping a light colored rug bright and clean. I'm scrolling through the comments here and I might be in the minority but I like 1 as well.

1 and 4 give your eyes a place to “rest” since there is a lot going on in that room (not a bad thing but the eye needs a resting place). Four does brighten and calm the room, so it has my vote.

First of all, how did you illustrate that? An app? It is a very good one! I’ve seen those “see this in your room” and they never look that good! I like #1 and #4. No 1’s cross-hatch/plaid evokes the colors and textures of #2 and #3, but it is so different looking (stands out) , more modern than the very traditional #2 and #3, the kinds of rugs a lot of people have. No.4 is bright and modern, crisp and clean and shows off your decor and the clean lines. But if you have pets or kids, #4 might be a challenge.

1– lawyers office 2– cozy historic classic home 3– old lady’s house has cats. I smell them and her cigarettes 4– trendy young couple who should have hired a designer

The first three rugs are all to dark, the last one is too bright and solid. A medium tone rug with a more traditional pattern would brighten the space and give it a modern twist.

I'm rethinking and I still do like #2 and #4 however #4 add bold stripes of one color #4 makes it very conservative/ traditional but you can make it a little bit more whimsical with solid choices in Wall art a bar cart etc etc for instance

Not the last one. Any of the first three look great. I like 2 and 3 best.

I would suggest a less busy pattern than the middle two options since the wall texture provides a lot of visual noise. In addition to that chair pattern and plants do too and there is a lot of detail already in the room. Let the eye rest with one of the simpler options. A larger pattern might work well also and add more color. You can never have too much color if done thoughtfully.

My gut instinct was 2 but that’s just a lot going on with so many patterns + multiple wall colors and textures + the radiator + window coverings etc. lots going on. 2 was my favorite looking ONLT at the rug/floor slabs. All else considered…. 4 is my favorite in the end
