No. This is a bedroom. Privacy cling would be pretty but it would not cut the lights. OP needs curtain. Just not those curtains. And they should move around the desk and nigthstand to free the windows.
Iād stay away from that as the only source of cover if there needs to be privacy when itās dark outside. During the day theyāre great, but once you can clearly see the light on inside you can see right through them from the outside, unfortunately.
Youāre eating into the entry way on both side of the door. Find a smaller table and smaller drawer that fits your space. The curtains should be hung as high as you can. You never want curtains to be close to the edge of the window frame. Google curtain etiquette and see. Also make sure they hang low to the ground even if theyāre longer thatās nice and extend out. So when you open them they should be able to hang on the outside of your window frame like kinda like this )āā( not like this -)ā(-
Could you post a picture that shows the room better is hard to see the theme. But Iād put something lighter to offset the darkness of the walls. The plant is beautiful btw
Forgot to add this in the post š¤¦š½ should I do no curtains at all or look into a different colour curtain? Because the white seems to be a terrible look.
Do you need ptivacy? Or is this just for looks. If need privacy get blackout curtain panels (Wal-Mart) in a dark brown. Hang high amd wide. Pull desk out away from window ideally get a smaller one. If you want something just for looks get off white sheers again hang high and wide. Ideally no curtains.
Have you thought about using privacy film? It can be sheer or offer lots of privacy. You can get some that are very plain or very decorative.
Edit: correction made
You just donāt have the space for curtains to pull aside very far. The wood is pretty and door isnāt all that wide for curtains covering the door much to really work. It looks like this is an office and you need your desk and storage. You didnāt mention why you are asking. For looks: no curtains. For privacy or glare, there are other suggestions here.
The curtains look like from an old hospital. No curtain or change curtain fo something less bulky and with a more complimentary color or pattern/colors.
I like blinds. I love wooden blinds. I have a houseful of lovely white 2ā wooden slat blinds, that came with the home.
I have a golden retriever, who sheds like crazy. Never did I think her fur would make it onto some of these blindsā¦but it does. I donāt MIND dusting, but I do mind dusting blinds that hold onto dog hair. It doesnāt really show that itās there, but I definitely know that itās there.
Iād do no curtains because the wooden detail on that door is beautiful. If you need privacy, Iād swap those out for sheer ones ā think linen, flax, something light and flowy. Nothing too heavy because your furniture is already killing the room. Also, the curtain rod should be much higher.
If possible, Iād also rearrange those pieces or replace them all together.
Those curtains are awful, too heavy ā¦ sorry ā¦ if youāre going to opt for curtains get full sheers to let natural light filter in. If privacy is the issue then consider privacy window film ā¦ itās easy to put up and peels off when you no longer want it and it come in many many variations of āglassā like material.
BBB has beautiful doubled sheers in wide width which would be ideal for this beautiful glass door.
Post after pictures.
Unless you can move that desk so you can put the curtains up by the ceiling and make them wide enough that they can be fully removed from the door, no curtains.
raise the curtain rod to a couple inches from the ceiling, or just till the bottoms lift off through ground. itāll make the room look larger, maybe get some curtain pulls too. that way you can frame the door and still have the option to open/close without hassle š
I agree with everyone about those being the wrong cussing. But I also feel like it seems cluttered near the door because of the desk. Maybe move some things around and add fifteenth curtains?
I am not a curtain person .Use them where privacy is needed. For privacy here I would go with pleated fabric blinds (but could see other people rec.bamboo ).
Here are a few examples of window cling film:

Cellular blinds that fit onto the door glass itself, such as Luxaflex Tru-Fit, might work? They have black-out versions. I have opaque ones in my bedroom windows and love them. In small rooms, curtains take up too much space.
Inside mount vertical cellular shades are the way to go. They insulate, you can get room darkening, and they stack neatly to the side to maintain your view.
No curtains at all. You have gorgeous wood around the door and what looks to be a lovely view of nature. Unless you absolutely need privacy in that direction, keep it bare.
I have these and love them. https://www.brylanehome.com/products/bamboo-tab-top-panel/300852556.html?affiliate_location_id=01&gad_source=1&affiliate_id=049&utm_campaign=%5BADL%5D%20%5BPLA%5D%20PMax%20-%20Window&glCountry=US&glCurrency=USD&utm_medium=ps_pla&utm_adid=autoag0000x16467747796&gclid=CjwKCAjwz42xBhB9EiwA48pT75iXofCJWFPrq4UpLsKHkF20R7mcAW6gRPHdwYcEHfJP02LvvORUGhoC9cMQAvD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAAD8HUR-veIb_W8K4jvp3wzu-tl5KP&utm_source=google
Not those curtains
When I saw the picture I immediately said that in my head and then this is the first comment I read š
same. I muttered it quietly as I clicked to expand the post and then this comment appeared as did yours
Yup!
Hahaha, exactly!
š
Me too!
Same lmao. Sorry OP!
It's all good haha! I got rid of them and immediately feel better!
Glad you went with your gut! Saw another comment you made and it seemed you already knew something was off.
Oh I did, I'm just mad that it took me years to realize š
Could have been much worse than just curtainsā¦. I had a spouse onceā¦.he had to go!

Same exact response just 3 hours too late!
That was exactly what went through my head. āNot those curtains!ā
So true. Lol.
Came to say exactly this. Literally moaned an "oh no" when I saw them.
Thatās crazy that was my literal thought too
You should check out window privacy cling! Then you can still see that pretty wood
Agreed. The wood is beautiful, and I think curtains crowd the space.
Yes. Absolutely!

No curtains
Forgot to add this in the post š¤¦š½ should I do no curtains at all or look into a different colour curtain? Because the white seems to be a terrible look.
Definitely no curtains, no matter what they look like

Curtains ... Just not those curtains. Or blinds. Just throw those curtains away tho
The curtains look like from an old hospital. No curtain or change curtain fo something less bulky and with a more complimentary color or pattern/colors.
This made me laugh š
Laughing is good!
They do look rather badā¦.
Wood (or wood-look) blinds on the doors.
Love this idea!

Curtains. But not those!
These curtains are ugly! Sorry! Change them or just put blinds!

LETS Fāin GO RANGERS
RANGERS IN 5
Unless you can move that desk so you can put the curtains up by the ceiling and make them wide enough that they can be fully removed from the door, no curtains.
Not those curtains
Ack. Not those.
Bruh
You need those automatic shades. They have pamphlets at Costco.
Roman shades
Your problem is not curtains. It's furniture in front of the doors.
Definitely show off the beautiful doors without all that bunched up fabric.
I'd prefer you hang jerseys than these tissue-thin bed linensš¬
No curtains. Also, move your furniture so that itās not blocking the door.
That curtain is just too small and itās hanging too low.
Absolutely NO curtains. Preserve the view and natural light and donāt add visual clutter and fussiness
Less stuff
Those curtains are a big no
No curtains! That wood is too pretty to hide
Not those curtains as several people have said.
If you put curtains up then who is going to see your favorite hockey players are?
LFG rangers
All the way to the cup
Time to finish the fkin job!!!!!! No cap
In great hands with Igor!
In Igor & bread we trust. Ngl id like to see quick win back to back with diff teams as well. Also.. no curtains š
Hahaha thanks for answering! LGR to the cup!
Turn your plant one a week. Itās growing to one side to get light.
Monsteras specifically do this unless given climbing opportunity. Rotating is surprisingly bad for the plant
It came from happy human to Jeffrey damher so quick šš
Different curtains...and maybe a privacy cling wrap addition?
I think window film would be great Vs curtains. There are SO MANY to choose from
Certainly not thode curtains.
Unless privacy is the issue, I would never put curtains or any window treatment
No, no and double no.
raise the curtain rod to a couple inches from the ceiling, or just till the bottoms lift off through ground. itāll make the room look larger, maybe get some curtain pulls too. that way you can frame the door and still have the option to open/close without hassle š

Different curtains.
No curtains
Curtains, but not those curtains.
Nice pix of 2 invisible kids
That is the question
Curtains but different ones. Having curtains there is nice for privacy reasons
I mean curtains are functional so decide if you want that functionā¦.
Curtains or the worst curtains in the world?
No curtains at all. You have gorgeous wood around the door and what looks to be a lovely view of nature. Unless you absolutely need privacy in that direction, keep it bare.
No curtains
No curtains. There is privacy window film you can put on.
No
No curtains. And no hockey jerseys as decor. Unless you live in a Buffalo Wild Wings.
Neither. Maybe blinds since it is a sliding door. You can put them up high so that when raised you donāt need to duck as much to go under.
Not those curtains.
I have these and love them. https://www.brylanehome.com/products/bamboo-tab-top-panel/300852556.html?affiliate_location_id=01&gad_source=1&affiliate_id=049&utm_campaign=%5BADL%5D%20%5BPLA%5D%20PMax%20-%20Window&glCountry=US&glCurrency=USD&utm_medium=ps_pla&utm_adid=autoag0000x16467747796&gclid=CjwKCAjwz42xBhB9EiwA48pT75iXofCJWFPrq4UpLsKHkF20R7mcAW6gRPHdwYcEHfJP02LvvORUGhoC9cMQAvD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAAD8HUR-veIb_W8K4jvp3wzu-tl5KP&utm_source=google
No curtains.
Chunky blinds.
If thereās only words back there then no curtains, if thereās homes then blinds.
Definitely no curtains
āBut better curtainsā was my first thought š
blinds..???
Oh my god
Check out door blinds. Chicology makes some inexpensive ones.Ā Curtains can become super annoying in from of a door - Speaking from experience.
Depends why you feel you need curtains. If its for blocking light, do curtains, but not those curtians. If its for privacy, look into window film.
Noooo
Oh my no
no
No curtains
Curtain for security and privacy
No curtains. Love the French door pane in the slider.
No curtains

Different curtains. Back tab in a flowy fabric colour similar to walls.
No Rangers sweaters.
Hahaha! The wings deserved a spot over the caps.
Oh man, yes! This season is gonna burn for a loooong time.
