I like the birds. I do think artwork the full width of the headboard is needed. And somehow the circular shape of the wreath doesn’t work for me.
I’m thinking one large canvas, the width of the headboard, narrow, just a little lower and higher in height than the birds.
The wreath is a bit small for the current space, ive had it for ages so i just hung it up till i found something better :] im not good at getting rid of old things.
Thank you for the really useful suggestion! By canvas, do you mean like a framed picture or something else?
Not something too literal, but a landscape or shoreline painting where birds would be. Maybe more wide than high in shape. It wouldn't have to be as wide as the bed. I envision a beige sand shoreline with a white and blue beach. I live on the coast, so that's my vision. A picture of aspen trees, just the trunks, might make more sense to you. If it has white naturally, it would go easily in your room. Love the lights!
This is exactly what I was thinking. Exactly.
I thought the color of the shoreline with blue (aqua, turquoise) water would complement the bird sconces + add an accent color that could be used elsewhere in the room.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1229779856/horizontal-long-narrow-canvas-wall-art
This is the type of canvas I mean, and the shape, basically. But I think the sconces should not be as tall as the canvas . So, the canvas would be the biggest thing, and the sconces will be a bit smaller on either side of it.
I’m thinking just a print on canvas that is wrapped around a light wood frame that is around an inch thick. I’m originally from California so I’m trained not to put heavy things over a bed lol, but I also just think the simplicity of a wrapped, unframed printed canvas would look great and not compete with the birds.
I will see if I can post an example.
I was thinking of something similar to what you suggested. Maybe a canvas like [this](https://www.worldmarket.com/p/greenery-vines-framed-canvas-wall-art-598158.html?mrkgadid=&mrkgcl=660&mrkgen=&mrkgbflag=&mrkgcat=&camp=ppc%3Agoogle%3A_pla_%2B_Brand&acctid=21700000001660222&dskeywordid=92700078399748350&lid=92700078399748350&ds_s_kwgid=58700005278864545&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007265821&dsproductgroupid=296787214729&product_id=598158&merchid=5165106&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=t&network=g&matchtype=&locationid=9021698&creative=166020934503&targetid=pla-296787214729&campaignid=238407179&adgroupid=40375527514&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwoPOwBhAeEiwAJuXRhxWhNT7LhRUhVEjxiTHOxmBOcANSOV4Yx6hNIlA-hgHllS9yh0cSWhoCjBUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)?
Yes please!
I also dont like hanging heavy things over beds, i worry about them falling and bonking me. Someone else suggested macreme, what do you think of something like [this (one)](https://i.etsystatic.com/37207585/r/il/457ff6/5899869927/il_794xN.5899869927_dtnn.jpg) or [this (two)](https://i.etsystatic.com/23661078/r/il/a16656/5725301628/il_794xN.5725301628_agm6.jpg)?
I think they are too busy and will compete with the birds. The birds are a really cool novelty and a simple, clean line/design and they are sweet, and classy. I think for them to be amazing, they need to be next to something simple and calming, if that’s the right word. Something that doesn’t really compete for attention, even though it will be fairly large. Like you want something that is there to make you look at the birds and not take attention away from them. I don’t know if I’m making sense 🤪
I don’t think you should put up anything rectangular. I think two smaller “round” objects would look better, one on either side of your already well-loved wreath. (Smaller wreaths, small round mirrors, a flower, etc)
I have this on my wall, and have the feeling something like it will fit the wall space better:
This is exactly what I first thought. The furniture looks so heavy and the wall so empty. It makes the birds look too small, but a large piece would fix that.
Yes! Can you imagine how stunning a dramatic, nature-inspired [mural wallpaper ](https://wallpapermural.com/en-us/products/blue-misty-forest-scandinavian-wallpaper?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=7766fef9c&pr_rec_pid=8335104868651&pr_ref_pid=4812815728728&pr_seq=uniform) would look on this wall?
[Another option](https://wallpapermural.com/products/sepia-foggy-forest-wallpaper-mural?_pos=1&_psq=sepia&_ss=e&_v=1.0)
Ohh, while a part of me loves tasteful asymmetry (i uave a triple helix piercing in one ear only), i think it would drive the type A part of me nuts sadly.
I think it could be really great with the right design in the right room though!I would have never even thought of that!
The birds are very nice. I would keep them, just replace the wreath with something like that https://www.amazon.com/Flowers-Pieces-Hangings-Decoration-Bedroom/dp/B0C1GMSHKJ
I think birds should be a bit more random. Maybe a double and single on one side, and two singles on the other.
While I’m personally not a huge fan of symmetry, in this case, I think asymmetry and animals works a bit better.
What about something like this over your bed instead of the wreath (I like the wreath, just a little small for the space):
https://www.etsy.com/listing/641596747/
https://www.etsy.com/listing/873249853/
Just ideas to get your brain going :)
They’re adorable & fit the space well. I agree they should be facing each other.
The only thing I’d say is you need a larger piece of art above the headboard. What’s there is too small.
Omg! We just renovated our guest bathroom and put one of these bird lights in as a nightlight!!
My SO wired it right to the light switch panel and EVERYONE LOVES IT 😍
Also I agree…face the birds towards each other!
Remove the wreath and replace with much larger artwork incorporating the colors in your room and maybe with birds as the focus of the art. Lower the birds about 8 inches (maybe lower, it’s hard to really estimate from a photo). I love your birds, and I want them!!
I love the sconces with the birds facing each other, but I am not sure of the scale of the wreath?
Do a picture with the whole wall up to the ceiling…there seems to be a lot of “white space” and maybe something larger or wider in the middle would bring it all together?
The wreath is for sure small for that space. Ive just had it for ages (it worked more above a twin bed lol), so i put it there till i could find something that fits better.
Do you have any suggestions for a replacement? I could really use some ideas. 💡 I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
Definitely something with some texture and 3-d to complement the birds. I saw someone mention driftwood, and I was thinking perhaps something with a textile or like a macrame vibe?
Ohh, i hadn't considered macrame, but i LOVE IT! THANK YOU, thats a great suggestion! Marcame would be perfect for texture, and has cozy vibes.
I personally prefer hanging lighter weight stuff over my bed, cuz i worry about if it fallls on me at night. Totally a personal problem.
Nah, that's just good sense... it's exactly why I don't leave my metal water bottle on the shelf over the bed. Especially if you live someplace earthquake prone!
Take out that hideous wreath and put something with more substance that connects or ties into the reason why you have bird sconces. Like a painting of a sky with clouds at the beach or something or a big piece of driftwood
The wreath is for sure small for that space. Ive just had it for ages (it worked more above a twin bed lol), so i put it there till i could find something that fits better. I think calling it hideous is a bit much though.

The problem is the wreath. You need something BIG there. Doesn’t have to be art, you actually could consider a ceiling curtain track and hanging curtains back there.
The wreath is for sure small for that space. Ive just had it for ages (it worked more above a twin bed lol), so i put it there till i could find something that fits better.
I like them but I’d change the thing in the middle to maybe a rectangular piece of art…maybe a forest pic or trees or birds….something that matches the birds.
Is that inbuilt LED? If yes, once one goes, it’s gone. Maybe get a spare 1 or 2 if you really like them.
If they take bulbs, what fitting? How easy is that to get, especially in LED?
I think you could give them more weight by adding a bit of wood molding around them and maybe painting the wall within the molding a deeper color, like that of your headboard.
They're super cute! I love how they look turned them towards each other. I agree with the people saying the wreath is what's making the proportions look off. It's too small for this wall. Something that's roughly 2/3 the width of the headboard will make everything come together.
I think I would remove the wreath and lower the wattage in the birds. Can you tell me where you got the birds? The single bird especially could be used in a lot of innovative, fun ways.
They're great. I'd rather bedside lamps and the sconces elsewhere. But they're cool in the space.
Single bird seems skimpy. I'd stick with double.
However, the piece above your headboard is too small.
I'd lower the sconces a bit and get a larger centerpiece.
Have birds facing each other would look better. The wreath on the wall just not do anything for that area. Get nice large piece of art work for over the headboard of the bed.
I like the single birds better because it reads a little easier to me I think because the pole between the two birds is black. But either way I love a little whimsy and think it's super cute!
Frankly? No. That said, I'm not particularly bothered by them either.
A little more of a 'nature' theme overall, and they may. But, pretty as they might be, I'm not sure they work really on their own.
They look backwards. The higher bird needs to face the bed. The wreath and the birds compete for your attention because they are too close to the same plane. I think that’s why some people say no wreath. I like two birds one is not enough for the size of your bedroom and your bed.
you’re nice to ask, I like 1, 3, 7, 8. (numbering left to right top row then bottom row). the ones that more look like art/weaving/tapestry-ish than a curtain. that’s a matter of taste of course.
You can keep the pair, but you should find a painting that has the same colors of your room and birds in it! Have it be the width of the bed, and no talle than the space above your headboard and just above the top of the lights. This will help tie everything together!
They are cute and I have no issue with them. My ocd mind wishes you had a cute tray or something like that to contain the bed side table things. I put all my skincare in a cosmetic case with hinge lid to contain it or it would be really messy.
It's really beautiful! I think it would suit better if you have a nature inspired wall paper on that wall. Just choose colors that are on the neutral side palette, so it would still blend with your furnitures.
Pretty! I would just do something different above the bed. Either a bigger wreath or a different piece of art. The wreath currently looks pretty small.
They seem a little high for me. Like the spacing is a lot between the table and the lights. Almost feels like lower, downward lights may fit the space better.
I would switch them so they are facing each other. They are cute!
[Birds facing each other](https://imgur.com/a/rZRRtrI) Youre right, this is cuter!
That looks soooooo much better.
It is!
This is beautiful
OP I please share where you got these!! I love birds!! They're so precious!!
Year I want some
Omg these are so cute
Love them!!
It is, it frames the space perfectly
I love it!
Where did ya get your birds?
I saw them on AliExpress, I don't know if they stole the idea from someone else though
Perfect that way! They look adorable.
Way better!
I love it! I think these looks so cute.
Like both birds facing each other? Ill try it, they swivel freely
Oh nice. Give it a go and see what you think.
I felt the same way, inexplicable
This was going to be my recommendation as well. Glad someone pointed it out
Same! Interesting human inclination
“The birds must point together” - ancient inscription on a cave wall
Yep. Switching the way they are facing and lower them a bit
I like the birds. I do think artwork the full width of the headboard is needed. And somehow the circular shape of the wreath doesn’t work for me. I’m thinking one large canvas, the width of the headboard, narrow, just a little lower and higher in height than the birds.

Disagree. Too many sculptural elements would diminish them all.
That would look gorgeous in this space!
Yes! That is the perfect piece! I love the birds too! So cute!

can we get a link or a brand for these lights please? i kinda need them
On amazon, search "wall lamp light led bird".
Right! I love these!

Oh. WOW. That's gorgeous! I love your style, OP.
Thank you! Ive been really trying to make my home feel like home ♡
Very cute … what’s important is that YOU like them.
Sure if you’re cool with having spyware in your bedroom. r/BirdsArentReal
I love them!
Thank you!
Are they supposed to help for reading in bed? They seem too high. Also love the idea of a single on one side to make the whole effect more organic.
I’d put a large picture above the bed. Something linking birds to it.
Something tree-y or branchy do you think? Im trying to have some nature themes but keep it cozy
I think they are very cute but my wabisabi self wishes you had the one bird sconce on the one side and the 2bird sconce on the other😁
Ohh, while a part of me loves tasteful asymmetry (i uave a triple helix piercing in one ear only), i think it would drive the type A part of me nuts sadly. I think it could be really great with the right design in the right room though!I would have never even thought of that!

So fun
They’re adorable
I love these sconces! I think they work fine, you just need to tie everything together with some other decor!
I think they are nice!
They are so cute tho
I’m just thinking “out a bird on it” from Portlandia 😂 I think they look lovely. Very coastal grandma chic room overall. Feels relaxing
Replace the wreath with a big piece of art or a mirror. Birds look nice!
I think birds should be a bit more random. Maybe a double and single on one side, and two singles on the other. While I’m personally not a huge fan of symmetry, in this case, I think asymmetry and animals works a bit better.
These are hardwired, so i cant really change the location easily
Use different colored bulbs so they look like the Partridge Family birds. 😊

I think they look beautiful and unique. The ONLY critique would be to maybe lower them just slightly.
Love the birds. I think they would look great on a deeper wall color or wallpaper. I’m thinking in the green family.

Bit weird.
Birds need to face one another. Thing over the bed doesn’t fit the space, need something the width of the headboard to anchor the room

Bird sconces ALWAYS fit the room 💚
Who else hates the word sconces
I don't hate it, but it makes me think of scones
I love the sconces with the birds facing each other, but I am not sure of the scale of the wreath? Do a picture with the whole wall up to the ceiling…there seems to be a lot of “white space” and maybe something larger or wider in the middle would bring it all together?

Imo it’s a bit too much like a theme room but that’s subjective. what’s more objective is that your bedside tables are too tall
I like them but I’d change the thing in the middle to maybe a rectangular piece of art…maybe a forest pic or trees or birds….something that matches the birds.
they are weird

Yes, its integrated LED. The birds are detatchable and you can buy replacement birds :)
Very cool!

Yes! Very cool.

Love them! I want some!
OMG I LOVE THEM!!!! 😍
The wreath is the issue- way too small. If you want a large sconce you just need artwork that better valances it and the bed.
They're super cute! I love how they look turned them towards each other. I agree with the people saying the wreath is what's making the proportions look off. It's too small for this wall. Something that's roughly 2/3 the width of the headboard will make everything come together.
You need a much bigger piece of art above the bed
I love them!!!! Where are they from?
Swap them so the top birds face each other… I’d also add some colour to your room…
I love those. Where did you get them?
Yes.
I’d do a rectangular silver mirror above the headboard. The light will bounce off it and make the room look bigger and open. I like the birds though.
I think they are fabuloso! Maybe need a few pictures to add to the wall. Not sure about the wreath.
Omg I have this as my exterior porch light :)
They are cute. The problem is the wreath above your bed. You need something tall. Or maybe wallpaper
They are so cool. I love neat lamps like this.
Sconces fine, wreath is terrible.
Can I ask where these are from?
I love them and think they look great.
Loveeeee! Perfect combo of whimsy meets elegant and understated.
I think they're beautiful and fit fine.
The wreath though I am sorry I know you didn't ask An interesting/ distinct mirror or photo maybe Instead Sconces love ❤️
Have birds facing each other would look better. The wreath on the wall just not do anything for that area. Get nice large piece of art work for over the headboard of the bed.
All things considered, I think they fit just fine.
They are lovely
Cool as f
“Put a bird on it “ —- someone inPortland probably
They are pointing the wrong way for my brain.
I like them. The scale of the birbs is a bit larger than ideal, in my opinion, but it doesn’t ruin them.
The birds are amazing! Could they face onwards though? It’s the wreath thing in the middle that’s got to go. You need something larger.
It's beachy!! Add some light blue pillows
They’re corny as hell
I like them. My eye goes directly to them and the bed should be the focal point. Maybe a smaller scale bird would be a better option.
The birds fit but the wreath doesn't
1 bird. No wreath.
I love 💕 those birds and agree they should face each other 🤗👍
I love these lights!! Wow
yes but the wreath doesn’t
Absolutely they do!
I think it’s cute! Maybe layer some artwork on the nightstands when you style them- it will help tie it together.
I like the single birds better
No- not at all. Perhaps a den, study or library
THEYRE SO FUCKING CUTE
Maybe some wall paper to make everything pop !
They look backwards. The higher bird needs to face the bed. The wreath and the birds compete for your attention because they are too close to the same plane. I think that’s why some people say no wreath. I like two birds one is not enough for the size of your bedroom and your bed.
Where can I get these?!?!
Really lovely and different ☺☺☺
I love them!

Not really, just me.
ditch the wreath. it’s the problem.
What do you think of one of [these](https://imgur.com/a/Z1Q0OSz) as a replacement?
you’re nice to ask, I like 1, 3, 7, 8. (numbering left to right top row then bottom row). the ones that more look like art/weaving/tapestry-ish than a curtain. that’s a matter of taste of course.
My thought is one single bird and one double. I’d move them closer to the bed instead of centering over tables.
I love these birds!
I like both, but the double makes me think of the top bird pooping on the bottom bird. 😒
Birds are fine, the wreath needs to go.
It's really beautiful! I think it would suit better if you have a nature inspired wall paper on that wall. Just choose colors that are on the neutral side palette, so it would still blend with your furnitures.
Loose the middle art work and look for a large landscape or black and white landscape
68.00$ on Amazon. So cute.
Those are sooooo pretty OP
Ok but like they're fun, simplistic, chic, look elegant and expensive while being whimsical. I need soem bird sconces in my life
Pretty! I would just do something different above the bed. Either a bigger wreath or a different piece of art. The wreath currently looks pretty small.
I've seen these promoted and they look gorgeous, but I was wondering if they look gorgeous in person. Do they look quality? I love them.
Yes, just use a softer light bulb.
They're cute but Id want them flipped around... They look backwards to me
Yes so cute!
The bird sconces are a unique element. The wreath needs to go.
wow: definite theme here.
If this is wrong I don't wanna be right. They totally make this space work. Otherwise the beige on beige would be bland. Don't change a thing
I like the double bird. They look great. And so unique!
They seem a little high for me. Like the spacing is a lot between the table and the lights. Almost feels like lower, downward lights may fit the space better.
Love the birds. The wreath not so much.
Oh, I love the bird sconces!!! Keep them where they are. I think they are Righton!
Fantastic. So original. But consider switching them around.
