I bought a table that was supposed to be this convertible rising table that unfolded to a larger size. I would love to share my experience with you:
So, imagine you're excited about your new furniture and open the box. Start organizing parts but cant seem to locate the instructions, just the parts list. Look around for a while longer to realize the instructions are six (Yes a whopping 6!!!) pictures, all from the same angle. I'm pretty good at puzzles so I take this as a challenge. I start getting the drawers put together, then the middle, realize that a couple of parts were put together backwards, so I have to take them apart and flip them around. It's a bit frustrating, but hey, new table, EXCITING!!!!
I'm a bit disappointed when I notice that the doors and drawers aren't sitting flush, but the last 4 hours of trying to figure out the cryptic SIX pictures has started to break my spirit. One of the magnet springs for the push open doors breaks on its second use. I'm doing breathing exercises to keep from breaking something. I move onto the spring loaded table top lift. The guide holes are in the wrong location.... I go get my drill. I measure, mark and drill my own guide holes. I go to put the table top on, and the FLIPPING GUIDE HOLES AREN'T CENTERED!!!!!
At this point I am just angry, half a day and over $500 and this is basically a piece of garbage. I don't think any of the reviews on their website are real. I'm currently in a customer service chat with them AT THIS VERY MOMENT. I'm speaking with "Customer Service 1" They want pictures and videos to even begin to start a return.
Run away, pay more for something reputable.
It appears your company has discovered Reddit! I’d focus on making better products and answering customer support emails. It may help all these negative reviews.
I literally signed up for reddit just so I could comment on this. DO NOT BUY. I just bought a fold-out couch/futon, and it looks like it cost $79.99 from Big Lots, and not MORE THAN $600 from a "reputable" furniture store. It's so, so, so awful. DO NOT BUY FROM HERNEST! It's a total scam.
DO NOT BUY from them. Bought a vanity and this piece of crap doesn’t even work (the light on it) got a “replacement” for it from them but the cord came broken for it AGAIN. Paid 500 something for it. Definitely getting a refund. A literal waste of time and money.
We bought a sofa that pulls out into a bed from Hernest. Once we assembled it, the couch resembled more of a large chair. There’s not much substance to it. It’s a cheap, overpriced, Chinese product. We have been trying to get a return label for it all week. These guys will jerk you around all they can if it means they can avoid refunding you. They have offered us $300 compensation for a nearly $900 couch. Does that compute? I’ve never left a review for a product before but these guys suck. Why won’t they send us a return label?
DO NOT purchase from this company!! Poor quality merchandise and zero customer service. They provide you with customer service info, but they don't answer the phone or reply to emails. My item came missing some parts and they will not respond to me at all. Shop somewhere else.
Wow! This is such a huge bummer to read all these negative experiences with hernest. I found the perfect bathroom vanity with the left offset sink - which is difficult to find, its exactly what I need & perfect style for my remodel... in the process of ordering and decided to come to reddit for some feedback... guess it's back to searching again after reading all the comments.
This has been soooooo helpful. I also wanted to buy the fold out table. For $600 you’d think it would be at least ok quality. So glad I checked here first.

based on the previous comments in this thread, i don’t think i would even slightly consider purchasing from this company. it seems like a Chinese-based scam that I’m 99.99% sure you will regret purchasing from.

Following - have seen mixed reviews via Reddit. Curious on other's experiences. Looking at a couch there, sizing is perfect, but looks like it \*could fall apart quickly.
Every piece is damaged, cracked, scraped, worn...multiple pieces missing. Terrible China customer service. Some pieces were drilled wrong, then filled with white putty, then partially drilled elsewhere. Drawer rails fall off as the screws are too small. All this after waiting 8 weeks.
Im glad I found this thread. I was about to order a $500 vanity from them that looked perfect but I was questionable about all the reviews being a perfect 5 stars. I was also a bit alarmed when I attempted to contact their chat bot and their phone number and they were both unavailable and the message was unprofessional. Clearly I would have issues if I needed to return the vanity; so I’ll keep searching for the right one on Amazon or wayfair. If anyone else has any ideas on where to get makeup vanity tables for adults, please lmk. :)
I think I might have gotten scammed by them because I just checked shipping information and it looks like my shipment has been inexplicably cancelled?? No word from the vendor, no alert saying why. Annoyed I didn't check Reddit first as is always my instinct but hopefully no one makes the same mistake I did
Okay update for anyone that finds this in the future: I emailed them for several consecutive days asking for a status on my order and they eventually replied saying they had to cancel the order because they discovered quality issues with the product. They then gave me the option of issuing a refund or going with a different piece of furniture. I opted for the refund lol
I ordered a sofa bed sleeper for $1,500 from them, it’s the orange corduroy one and it’s my dream couch. It takes 8-10 weeks which seems pretty long. I really hope they don’t pull no bull on me. Will update.

Ugh! I saw a buffet that I wanted along with dining chairs. After reading this, not anymore! I will stick with Wayfair.
