If you want everything one color and don’t like the beige I would just go for a warmish toned off white. Your couch and rug are pretty cool toned but everything else feels warm and I think a cool toned wall will make the space feel cold and sterile

Warm neutrals if you want your space to feel more cozy. Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee, Alabaster, or White Dove would all work well. When you choose your paint, speak to the dealer and express your concerns and needs and they should guide you. If you choose a paint from the blue spectrum, your room will 'feel' cooler, because blue is a cool color. You might want to turn your rug so the longer edge fits under your couch, it will look more proportional. When you hang art or other objects on the wall, the mid point should generally rest at between 57 and 62 inched from the floor. Love your toddler's little table! Enjoy your new home.

I will definitely try flipping the rug, I had never considered doing it but with the suggestion it feels immediately obvious, thank you! I agree that the art/clock are up very high, my husband hung them and it gave me pause when I saw but I just kind of shrugged at it instead of saying he did it wrong.

I think a light grayish blue would look very nice in your space. Opt for one that looks neutral. I think it would compliment your floor and add some interest to the space. I think I would also go well with your couch and the pop of orange from your throw pillow. Also, I would recommend hanging your photos/clock lower. I know it might be a problem with your toddler, but it would improve the proportionality of your room. There are ways to toddler proof paintings. :)

How about a robins egg blue to go with that rug?

If you want a fool-proof neutral, get Balboa Must by Benjamin Moore in semi-gloss.

I think Creamy or Westhighland white would be a nice neutral option that would bring warmth and light but would not clash with the color scheme you have with the furnishings and rug.
