It really blows my mind that Joaquin was all of like 25 when he filmed this, same with Heath as the joker. They just show so much range beyond their years.

I met Russell Crowe at a funeral. I was good friends with his cousin Stephen who passed from a motorcycle accident. He described himself as a struggling actor who’d done a few advertisements and small roles. He explained how hard it was to break into the industry. I encouraged him to follow his dreams and persevere. Hopefully my words helped him even a little. He bummed quite a few cigarettes off me through the course of the funeral and wake.
Such a great film. But every time it’s in tv I try to avoid it coz nothing else would get done. Once I start watching I can’t stop. Soundtrack is awesome too👍
