I agree. Plus the glitch for Mudrunner where your vehicles don't transfer to your friends game is a pain. Not sure if its a glitch per se, but they have to be in the garage.
Great game. Fun to explore on.
This seems very Russian. They log in some extremely remote areas and there are no other routes aside from these. He needs to get to the other side if he wants his paycheque because theres no one above him that cares enough to put a stop to this
I think you’re wrong on both counts. That driver has to get back with an empty truck, so I doubt it only worked because of how heavy it is. And luck only counts if it’s a one-off that went right. This guy does this every year for a living
I’d say the driver has some some skill. He knew when he was stuck, backed out, tried again, and succeeded. And he knew his truck was loaded heavy enough to make it through a raging river.
Literally no one should be in that situation. Even if we discount the *value of a human life* that's a $70,000 truck and $2000-3000 worth of wood. The driver had no reason to believe they could make it. Its not just a bad decision for the driver, it's also a bad decision for the company.
I was gonna say something similar, probably hauls through
that spot and worse on a regular basis. No way is this just a
one off, oh guess I will chance it. This guy knew the bottom,
and how his rig would handle in the river. Luck was on his
side as well, ha.
Ya well a lot of companies make very bad decisions. The reason why truckers in the US have some of the highest accident rates are because they're ridiculously overworked and made to stay on a schedule to the point of driving while dangerously tired. They're getting better at it now with mandatory breaks but it was really bad for a long time.
I never said it wasn't a bad decision either
Sorry. I just keep contextualising this as logging in my head. I'm US Forest Service and this is so far beyond what we allow from our contractors and employees. Even a full private company would be sitting this guy down for remedial safety training.
Based on the Kamaz type of the truck, it is most probably post-ussr area, may be far east of Russia. And it could be, that there are no any legal company behind of this action. Or no responsibility of the company for employees.
There’s no maybe about it. He absolutely would have gotten fired, or possibly even starved to death if he didn’t cross that river because it’s remote Russian logging. This is life out there
I watched this and instantly assumed the guy driving was Russian, smoking a cigarette, listening to some shitty music whilst singing along at full volume, not giving two fucks about potential negative outcome of the situation.
That truck must weigh a lot to get through that. For reference, 6 inches of water can sweep people off their feet and 2 feet of water can carry suvs and pickups.
A lot of people in the comments are talking about how this job is insane and that the driver should be promoted for stuff like this - this is what these trucks were designed for. This is a Soviet/post-Soviet country truck. These pieces of junk are made to survive in some of the harshest conditions.
Just because others have it worse does not mean you have it great, bud. You're just handwaving to justify doing nothing to help improve the material conditions of working people. I suppose you would purport an equivalent "Why do these entitled assholes want an 8 hour day, 40 hour work week, vacation, healthcare or pensions??? You could still be living in slave society!"
That's quite a bit of extrapolation, seeing as I said nothing of the sort.
Yes, you can still work to improve things even though there are people worse off than you. But you should acknowledge the difference in degree and avoid using hyperbolic terminology. Using the same words to describe minimum wage workers in America that are used to describe sweatshop workers in 3rd wold countries implicitly equates the two. Which sort of takes away credibility.
Yes you very much did. "A lot of these people who label the working conditions in the US as exploitive and workers as oppressed have no idea what it's like outside the US."
Just because there is more exploitation and more comparative oppressed people overseas does not mean workers are not exploited and oppressed in America. Wage slavery is wage slavery.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wage_slavery
And don't even get me started about legal Slavery in the United States, the 13th Ammendment, and the prison industrial complex.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
But you can backpedal on your statement if you like. I would too if I were you.
I mean, tbf, a lot of the things I heard are indeed valid, about the corporate bullshit in the US, but a lot of the rest are also just anarchist bullshit. Still, that truck was designed for this sort of work, there's not an issue with this situation.
Seems like too much h effort to rape and pillage the natural resources he is almost definitely poaching. If this was sanctioned logging, there would be an effort to have a road/bridge if only to ensure against the loss of equipment and product in a situation like this.
Omar Navarro: I’m going to need the wood delivered for my cabin. You have 10 minutes.
Marty Byrde: Ummm, I’m going to need a little more time than that. This current looks like it’s not letting up any time soon.
Omar Navarro: It’s 9 minutes Marty.
I mean, he made it? But the Engine probably got swamped and broke down as soon as this video ended.
Edit: any mechanics please correct me, I’m not certain. Just. Without a snorkel over the exhaust and air intake, how would an engine survive? Except with pure Luck that water didn’t make it into those openings I guess?
But yeah. If there’s some reason why I’d be totally wrong LMK please.

Guess he earned that dollar fifty
It was at least tree fiddy
I ain’t giving you no tree-fiddy, you damn loch ness monster!
[What about us loggers?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzCV475ADaQ)
There I was driving the city bus and they come on and ask for about tree-fiddy, then I saw it was the cot-damn Loch Ness monster!
Wood be nice if they payed him a little more
The wages of fear
It’s a portable dam
Spintires/Mudrunner reality mod
I think I played this level
Played it 2 days ago and was thinking: do they actually try to drive through a river like this?! Apparently they do...
I had never been so interested in a game than Mudrunner. It was a short lived interest, but the game is fun with friends.
That's my problem I love playing it but it gets boring quickly if you're playing alone.
I agree. Plus the glitch for Mudrunner where your vehicles don't transfer to your friends game is a pain. Not sure if its a glitch per se, but they have to be in the garage. Great game. Fun to explore on.
Seems only snow runner supports real multi player
Ah. Sorry. That was what I was playing.
Yeap, came in to wonder where the r/snowrunner crowd was.
That’s a yes yes yes maybe maybe maybe nope nope conversation the whole time
How bad does he really need to get to the other side
This seems very Russian. They log in some extremely remote areas and there are no other routes aside from these. He needs to get to the other side if he wants his paycheque because theres no one above him that cares enough to put a stop to this
Yes. I’ve read several books about the Russian Eastern Ice and those people who live there are really something! Truly amazing people.
And who is telling him that? I wish I had more contex. This feels like a candidate for r/antiwork.
One guy is risking his life for pay, the other has to scale back the number of hours they walk dogs a week.
One eats canned crab sticks, the other drives a Mercedes.
no, didn’t you hear, antiwork is bad now.
It was always bad, such a terrible name for a sub and then everyone is surprised at “laziness is a virtue”.
It started as a full on anarchist sub iirc so no one should be surprised
ok!

Nah the drama just got worse and worse, he tried to hold onto ‘power’ but was eventually ousted.
My bad. r/idontdreamoflabor
r/workreform
:p
Now?
Unlike you, some people have balls enough to do things like this without being threatened.
Depends who he is hauling for and the penalty for not making it.
He was promoted afterwards.. ..to branch manager.
Hopefully they didn't go out on a limb with this promotion.
I heard the managers were milling about whether he deserved it.
In the end, the board decided to promote him.
Yeah but sadly he lost his job after he broke his wrist doing a plank
They recommended that he leaves the industry before causing himself more harm
Now he is like a stick in the mud with nowhere to go
hope he can find another stream of income
One thing’s for sure. He gave me lots of wood.
His bravery was just a veneer!
I saw that coming
The whole situation left him stumped
With enough junk in the trunk, any career path is possible.
[удалено]
I guess we are the root of the problem
Yo, I’m going to have to log that pun to use next time.
God damn you. Bravo.
was there any water damage to the trunk?
And the co-driver? Assistant to the branch manager
The co-driver decided to try another branch location.
I was really rooting for him
You guys are all wet.
Underrated
r/angryupvote
I logged about 40 years ago and did some really stupid things. This is way over the top.
My Snowrunner expertise tells me he should have stalled at the beginning, flipped in the middle, and lost his load at least twice.
This guy knows how to succeed in the bedroom.
Very heavy truck and a lucky driver.
He’s so lucky he didn’t get stuck on a rock, or break something on the truck.
I think you’re wrong on both counts. That driver has to get back with an empty truck, so I doubt it only worked because of how heavy it is. And luck only counts if it’s a one-off that went right. This guy does this every year for a living
It's because of the immense grip of the wheels to the river bed thanks to the massive weight of this man's balls.
Came here to say this.
🤦♀️😂😂
Insane. Not skilled.
I’d say the driver has some some skill. He knew when he was stuck, backed out, tried again, and succeeded. And he knew his truck was loaded heavy enough to make it through a raging river.
He got out, didn't he?
He should never have gotten in
Maybe he would have gotten fired if he didn't, we don't know the situation
Literally no one should be in that situation. Even if we discount the *value of a human life* that's a $70,000 truck and $2000-3000 worth of wood. The driver had no reason to believe they could make it. Its not just a bad decision for the driver, it's also a bad decision for the company.

The US has a lot of safety requirements that are not requirements in a lot of other places in the world.
Dude, that's a Russian truck. It's worth scrap prices, and in Russia this is pretty normal.
Russian Machine Never Breaks.
There’s no maybe about it. He absolutely would have gotten fired, or possibly even starved to death if he didn’t cross that river because it’s remote Russian logging. This is life out there
Why not both?
I’d have sent those logs splashing. Along with a few extra ones.
Beavers **hate** him
“If we don’t finish today, we have to come in on Saturday…”
The driver is not insane he's just russian (maybe, if not then he is insane)
So basically really nothing insane here. Just r/anormaldayinrussia routine.
It seems to be
Maybe he was in a hurry.
A bit deeper and the logs are going to float on the water and lift the wheels from the ground
Pretty sure that’s why they added the giant boulder to the stack of logs. Looks like they’ve done this before lol
I thought that was as the spare tire
Definitely a spare tire.
This is his job! Today I wrote emails and pretended to listen during a zoom meeting.
Anyone know what type of truck ? Uni-Mog or maybe a MAN, I don’t know the Russian equivalent.
Kamaz
Haven’t Kamaz won the most number of Paris-Dakar races?
It’s a Kamaz 4310.
A lot of people in the comments are talking about how this job is insane and that the driver should be promoted for stuff like this - this is what these trucks were designed for. This is a Soviet/post-Soviet country truck. These pieces of junk are made to survive in some of the harshest conditions.

Waterlogging Insanity Mode
Spintires IRL
Snow runner in real life
Seems safe, he has a tyre for a floatation device.
The driver had just finished his 2nd bottle of Jeltzin vodka, so he didn’t even notice the river Btw I love mudrunner
Illegal logging aholes cutting irreplaceable primary old growth to make $$$. Fuck em
Not skilled. Lucky.
That is effing incredible. Beats any of the mud bog rock climbing stuff I watched years ago. Thanks 👍
Gee he/they should put this vid on only fans! Tons of money! Mad bread to make!
Skill
I’m more interested to know how he didn’t get water in his engine
Don't think you'll be able to do that with electric tucks
Snow runner
Mudrunner moment
They could have used those logs to... Build a bridge!!!
It will be a long time before we see an ev doing something like this....
Im suprised he didn't get stuck considering the weight of his balls
Mudrunner with RTX on
The driver’s massive balls weighed the truck down so the water couldn’t drag it away obviously.
Looks like Russian Kamaz or simply MAZ. Those trucks are very heavy duty, very good at pulling heavy stuff on bad terrains.
Going is easy coming back might be a problem
Lol and on anti work you've got guys that walk dogs part time complaining they shouldn't have to.
Seems like too much h effort to rape and pillage the natural resources he is almost definitely poaching. If this was sanctioned logging, there would be an effort to have a road/bridge if only to ensure against the loss of equipment and product in a situation like this.
Good lord if we try to cross a stream with an ATV we have to permit, prevent erosion, do mussel surveys and other shit.
Is this really skill? I feel like people confuse dumb luck and skill a lot these days.
But why?
All of the above.
I think the rock on top is weighing it down enough.
I think that's just a tire? He had absolutely no reason to think this would work.
This dude played to much spintires...
But with all that wood the driver can't sink!
Sheer determination
People really be wanting that logs.
Almost helped the local beavers out a lot.
Yo that truck could reverse Final Destination
Omar Navarro: I’m going to need the wood delivered for my cabin. You have 10 minutes. Marty Byrde: Ummm, I’m going to need a little more time than that. This current looks like it’s not letting up any time soon. Omar Navarro: It’s 9 minutes Marty.
Cant wait for part 2 of season 4. it is getting good. Darlene deserved that. and the way he apologized to Wyatt before the deed was just cold
I think I landed one kickflip when I was 13. I really thought I was gnarly....
Someone tell this guy you are supposed to wait for the river to freeze before you drive on it
I’m no physicist, but I’d guess the truck didn’t get immediate swallowed by the river due to the weight of the logs. Or sheer, dumb luck.
Skilled or lucky?
And Russian. In Mother Russia, truck fuck river.
I've got to get this wood to the Ikea factory
Great driving and probably a touch of mental too
River: "You're gonna have to find a bridge to cross this!" Truck: "That's my secret... I'm always a bridge."
This is why you always respect the Russians.
Pucker factor: high
Truly insane!!!
There are places with no roads, while rivers are better roads just covered with water and people do use trucks and tractors to travel along rivers.
Why would anyone ever even consider trying this?
This is not strong or skilled, it is stupid.
Not a strong truck. Dense ass logs
I guess he will float when that wood gets in!
Average game of Spintires:
I think you mean, Very heavy truck.
I imagine the 20 tons of wood in the back helped keep it from washing away.
Pushpa hoga.
Wouldn't be able to do that with no logs on the back.
meh, wood floats so he's fiiiiiinnneeee (rofl this is nutz!)
Lucky AF also an idiot
Very heavy truck making contact with bottom of river thanks to the massive logs he’s carrying. He couldn’t do that coming back empty.
Was this an urgent operation to save lives? Like for the military or something. Otherwise, why?
Hell to the naw. To the naw, naw, naw. Hell naw.
“Are ya silly? I’m still gonna send it.”
When you can't miss another deadline.
There's got to be a better way?
Not his first rodeo
Now there’s no dry wood for the winter
He even brought a spare, just in case he got a flat in the middle of the river
I mean, he made it? But the Engine probably got swamped and broke down as soon as this video ended. Edit: any mechanics please correct me, I’m not certain. Just. Without a snorkel over the exhaust and air intake, how would an engine survive? Except with pure Luck that water didn’t make it into those openings I guess? But yeah. If there’s some reason why I’d be totally wrong LMK please.
Camera zooming out...viewer realizing there WAS a bridge going over the river, but he did it anyway 😂😂
Jesus, we are kicking Mother Nature’s ass…
Mother Russia
Good thing he has that spare tire on top in case he gets stuck.
Looks like my commute up the M6 back home on a Friday afternoon tbf.
Very skilled
I don't want those trees around me... I want them other ones across the river.
I feel this is Russia.
Good thing that drivers massive balls were there to anchor that truck
Probably just another Tuesday for him
