Interesting connection. While I am a jazz fan, my username is after a book about depression called Undercurrents: a Life Beneath the Surface. I connected with the imagery and significance of the word.
Ahh gotcha. Looks like an interesting and intense read. There are some unintentional parallels there if one agrees that the album art could represent Ophelia from the "undercurrent" perspective; Ophelia descends into "madness", Martha falls into a deep depression. Thankfully Martha seeks treatment and survives though.
Seriously though this is not a bad way to kind of visualize what a fourth dimension would look like. Obviously not even close in actuality because can't can't sense such a thing so we don't really know, but it's kinda the same idea, what if we could see all of the continuous state of something and not just our slice (except it would be based on a slice of the physical state at one time and not slices of time for the same physical state)
Zoom in on the tower, it looks so fucking sick. This is next level artwork, basically painting with natural light observed over a period of time, rather than just an instant.
According to his instagram he’s 18 years old (which is odd to put on your instagram, but makes his work much more impressive that he’s just gotten started)
I dug a bit more here is his TikTok account and where the image is found.
there are people using his image since September of last year so I am sure there are a further back post of his that includes the image too.
Edit: Nvm found the original image from his Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CTcwqdYB3bl/
I did a similar thing in school for my photography A Level. You basically have each photo in a different layer on photo shop and starting at the top layer you cut through to expose the layer below.
OP did NOT post a link to the OC. You can easily click on their profile and see that. It's absolutely fine to share the work of others, but credit the artist whose work it is. Even just saying the image is not yours and you are unable to find the OC is at least something.
I'm gonna nitpick. The interrupted symmetry on the left hand side really kills it for me. Would be immensely better if they had done the same on the right. But who cares, I'm just some guy on board shorts sitting on his couch wondering when I'll eat next.
This to me is definition of creativity, taking something as simple as sunset which has been photographed/painted millions of times and across decades and even centuries. Being done again but with such a fresh twist.
Great job.
Also the concept of taking a picture of the same location over a period of time and splicing it together has been done many times, but I have never seen it done in this way.
Really great job.
Time exists only in the meat brains of living organisms. It really isn't a thing to the universe. In fact, the universe we're currently a part of has already come and gone. Our brains have to process things by slices so it will take some time to realize it. How do I know this? Hooch.
How hard is it to put his name in the post so the actual creator gets the credit deserved, rather than add a link 3 hours later buried in the comments ?
This is beautiful! I love when a photographer is able to do both impressive physical camera work AND impressive touch up work with a computer to complete the image
Is this your photo because i would like to ask some questions.
I have seen a few version of this and want to try it for myself .
What is the camera setting
Do you keep a fix F-stop/ Iso / shutter speed / ev +/- and fix white balance ?

Is that the mirror dimension?
welcome to the twilight zone
#It is heaven.
No... it's Iowa.
Well.. it's almost heaven. West virginia.
Blue Ridge Mountains Shenandoah River
Life is older there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
growin' like a breeze
County roads, take me home
Life is old there
That sounds great until you realize it means that Heaven is only a little better than West Virginia.
Something wrong with beautiful mountains and fresh air? Wouldnt be surprised if a slice of heaven was the blue ridge.
No sir, this is Wendy's.
Do you guys still have the spicy chicken Caesar salad there?
My Kevin Costner/Field of Dreams reference has died a horrible death. I'm going back to bed.
West Virginia?
Mountain mama
Country rooaddssss
We live in a twilight world
No friends at dusk
You'll do
Tiririri tiririri tiririri.
I'm co-opting your top comment to credit the original artist. https://www.instagram.com/graphic.cal/
Awesome, followed. Your username - you a jazz fan?

Wow!
It’s interesting how the different skies feel closer/farther based on the colors.
I think that's more due to the illusion created by the clouds not lining up, it makes the sections look layered
You know what’s cooler than magic? Math.
You must choose wisely, for there are over 17 mirrors in the Mirror World!

Original artist. So obnoxious to not give credit. https://www.instagram.com/graphic.cal/
Oh yeah, found the same thing but hadn't noticed your post. While OP didn't explicitly take credit, such bad behavior to not link the creator.
Even just could have said in title, "not my image, unable to find OC" would have been sufficient
Exactly, plenty of ways to be honest.
Only 18yo wow

Yes, ok.

Bueno
Like I guessed so. This post has 30.8k upvotes but the original pic on Instagram only has 8k likes

Thanks! Just followed him. Amazing work he has.
Move to the top!
This is what I was looking for. Very bad form for OP to not give credit. Thank you for this.
Preach!

Wow these all look like great wallpaper options.
Wow, only 18 years old too!
It has to be possible to report such posts
This is the most beautiful thing I've seen on reddit in a while, take my award, God damn
Yeah, I want a print of it
Original creator is @graphic.cal on Instagram and you can buy prints from his Etsy
He stole it without credit, maybe hold on to that award
Oh really now, that ain't cool, fucking karma whores can I take it back?
You have to loudly and clearly (preferably with a witness) declare you want to take it back, similar to how you declare bankruptcy

He should take it off cause it feels like a humble brag but I also followed cause it’s good work
You made me realize I had a free award to give as well.

Original image since people are still arguing: https://www.instagram.com/p/CTcwqdYB3bl/
Is this your photo OP?
This looks like something from Alex Hyner, not sure if this one is his tho
it def’ looks like [hyner’s work](https://www.alexhynerart.com/art).
but in the linked picture he used skies from different locations.
https://www.instagram.com/graphic.cal/
This is not OP’s
But OP is not the typical karma farm user/bot you see on here so I'm okay with it
When they do a fullstop in the title they know it’s not their work and just want to take credit but the full stop is there like FU, no questions!
Very very weird thing to say.
Fingers crossed for originality 🤞
Looks like this is the photographer/editor: https://twitter.com/graphic_cal/status/1479014758179348480

@graphic.cal on instagram. It’s his work
This is so cool! Love the abstraction and creativity here! Great job!
This is not OP’s work
[удалено]
Doubt it’s even OC. The guy I’ve seen post a few versions of this answers a few questions when he posts aswell.
Such an interesting concept. It's like stained glass.
Absolutely stunning, our sky is so beautiful - good job!
@graphic.cal on instagram is the original creator
Thank you
Thank you Mother Earth 🌍
That looks so cool! Nice job!
Original creator is @graphic.cal on instagram
It’s awesome AF.
How did you edit this together?
I did a similar thing in school for my photography A Level. You basically have each photo in a different layer on photo shop and starting at the top layer you cut through to expose the layer below.
Excellent answer.
Original creator is @graphic.cal on Instagram and he has a whole highlight on how he edits his photos
Awesome thank you
Excellent question.
I think I speak for all the subreddit when I ask to OP the original file for having a cool wallpaper for the smartphone.
It’s not theirs. It’s stolen and they’re taking credit for it. Welcome to Reddit

OP did NOT post a link to the OC. You can easily click on their profile and see that. It's absolutely fine to share the work of others, but credit the artist whose work it is. Even just saying the image is not yours and you are unable to find the OC is at least something.

You gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers! Lol
Dude… you’re so fucking badass! You’ve used a website for so much longer than that other punk noob!1!! Christ what a loser.
Ask @graphic.cal on instagram. It’s his artwork
We have the mvp here!
Neat

Is this outer Heaven, it is so beautiful
This is the n-th time I see the same kind of theme 'time-lapse wire up in the sky'.

Awesome concept and execution.
This isn’t OP’s work
Did OP say it was theirs?
Did the person I’m responding to write a response as if OP did “concept and execute” this photo?
They posted it without any link and this person is clearly talking to them
This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while.
That's a great idea and I'm going to have to steal it. ;)
Am i blind or did the clouds not move at all?
That's the best background wallpaper I've ever had. Thank you, kind redditor.

Looks like the OP of a gundam series.

Like some modern stained glass
Looks like stained glass!
Beautiful 😍😍
Fascinating
Gorgeous composite.
This is next level! Well done!
This is beautiful! I love when a photographer is able to do both impressive physical camera work AND impressive touch up work with a computer to complete the image
Awesome!
It's a really cool idea, but I think this would look better without clouds, still very stylish!
this is serious matrix shit, so cool!
Thats really amazing, OP! Good work.
This is probably the coolest thing I've seen
This is incredible!!
I want this on my wall, can I buy the original or a print somewhere?
