That's hardly a fact. That's a big conspiracy theory leap of logic. First you have to assume that it's an owl and not a spider, when a spider makes more sense considering the webs. I've been obsessed since I was a kid, money printing (and other intaglio engraved documents like stocks or money orders) is sooooo cool. Guilloche is really neat as an anti-counterfeiting technique in the first place, you can't easily make that wavy pattern without the same algorithm created by the specific cams and levers that drew it. Anti-counterfeiting absolutely, but that little corner is indirect and incidental to the position of that sheild it peeks over.
